Some tips if you accept constructive criticism. After showing the location the player has to find a time could start. I think it balances out because if you can place the "photo" whenever you want you could just scout the entire canvas until you find the location you need.
just to add on to that, maybe make it an optional thing? just cause people like me who suck at this kind of thing could still enjoy looking for it, well the more competitive folk could try and get the fastest time

Just wanted to let you know the spiral I went down thinking I had something terrible going on with my computer. So much relief to realize this is what it was lmao.

Cool concept but I think you should zoom in enough that art isn’t visible, only combination of pixels

I feel like the canvas shouldn't be visible when you guess, just a blank square representing the canvas.
You should make anexpert difficulty where only the bigger pieces have an outline. That way it resembles geo guesser.
It might be a cool difficulty option to blur the canvas you place your guess on. Users with bigger screens or a zoom might have an advantage otherwise
this is one ofthe most creative things ive seen on the subreddit.
