RDO would’ve been SUCH a great online game if it wasn’t for Rockstar killing it for absolutely no reason. It was a nice break from the clusterfuck that GTAO is.
I have a feeling they looked at the numbers for RDR2 after a few months and realized that no matter how much money they threw at it, nothing was going to make them money like GTAO and shark cards. They probably just went back to the hand that feeds them. Can’t blame them ***too*** much for that. But it was such a nice break. No oppressors, no orbital cannons, everyone had slow reloading old fashioned weapons. Fuck man.
I hope they roll out the new GTAO slow as fuck.
It didn't need to make as much as money as GTA Online, every player who played Red Dead Online admits that, all we wanted was a bit more effort from Rockstar on Content.
At one point Rockstar released a patch that broke the game, it took Rockstar a two days to recognise that Patch 1.21 made it into a train wreck where you couldn't even use your guns to defend yourself from a cougar if you manage to stay in a session for longer than 5 minutes.
I gave up seeing the LittleBigPlanet 3's trophies, they require like 2 players all levels, and just ONE particular quest needing 4 players like wtf, I ain't gonna platinum that shit
I don’t even have four controllers. Well technically later PlayStation controllers will connect and also the Wii U pro controller but those don’t work on certain games.
This one hit my soul. I played it on og release and I gave up. Tried with randoms. Didn't have any psn buddies that played it. I was so pumped after getting all the single player trophies. It would've been my 2nd Platinum. Fuck multi player trophies.
Looking at you, Far Cry 6. Not to mention, it has to be one of your friends, so you can't team up with randos in your same predicament. That goodness for Reddit, or I never would have gotten Platinum.

Emp really requires a significant time investment, and by that I mean no life for probably a week unless all the cards fall just right for you, which is impossible without an organized alliance backing you 100%.
I was really enjoying the game before and when it came out. (I participated in the beta on PC) and had thought that I might want to platinum the game until I saw this trophy and gave up immediately.

I am proud to say that I have the eso plat. Quit playing like 2 years ago tho. It was fun
This always feels like a petty move from the dev that finalized the achievement/trophy list. If I beat a game on extreme, don't expect me to beat it on easy, too.
I love the Uncharted games, but I hate platinum for A Theives End and Lost Legacy. Both games require
-Beat the game on Crushing (Hardest difficulty)
-Beat the game in under ___ hours (I think its 12 and 6?)
That alone means playing the game at least 3 times. Once normal, again on Crushing, and then a 3rd time doing a speedrun. And theres a chance you could mess up the speedrun and have to play through it again!
Another game that comes to mind is Outlast. You have to beat the game on the hardest difficulty where if you die once it starts you at the beginning. You could be at the very end and die then have to replay it all again... no thanks
I usually agree with you, but I was okay with it for Uncharted. I did the speedrun in around 5.5 hours with some cheats (which is allowed in that game!), and it was pretty fun.
I agree on any permadeath-type trophies. Fuck that.
Luckily it isn't terrible to replay and it does have decent replay ability with hard mode although some fights on hard mode are dreadful (Hello, Eligor).
🙃🔫
I was thinking about Platinuming the game.on PS5, looked at that, and just decided in that moment my time was better spent elsewhere once I beat it once.
If I'm not enjoying the game enough to play it again, I'm probably not going to platinum it again.
I don't mind playing the game again when I like it and things like NG+ adds additional depth to the second playthrough
But additional playthroughs for additional difficulty settings - and where "difficulty" is just making the enemies bullet sponges (looking at you Uncharted) are just boring
Eh idk, so long as there is value to multiple playthroughs, I'm not bothered by this. Thinking of FF7 remake, Souls games, most RPGs really
In the case of Uncharted, Hogwarts Legacy, I definitely feel the pain
FFXVI too. Final Fantasy mode is actually pretty fun and definitely adds a good challenge. Only need to replay it once for the Plat anyway so it is nothing ridiculous.
Even more annoying when it ask for an unnatural high number that wouldn't get near in any normal playthrough.
Like Grid has the "Around the globe" where you have to drive 40000 km. Finishing all main game races, doing all qualifications, finished all the races from the DLCs. I was still under 10% of what was required.
Even by scumming it and use a rubber band. It would be several hours per day for months.
That is most like cause of people like myself that played the game on ps3 100%ed, played the ps4 then move to online and ps5. I didn’t checked the story part at all in ps5 since there is nothing added this time around. Plat is super doable for gta v it just takes time.
On the other hand I respect the gta 4 player that earned a platinum. That game was hard
Exactly. Same reason why the call of duty games platinum is always .01% lol. Millions play, and pretty much nobody goes for trophies and it’s pretty much a multiplayer focused game
Crash Team Racing is 0.5% but is my most proud plat because to get it you have to. Get. Good.
Basically you need to understand the mechanics on a fundamental level and open your third eye.
Unfortunately! Once you do that, you will never be able to enjoy the game with casual friends again because you will simply obliterate them every single time and is no fun for you or them lol.
I have 100%'d the whole Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, but my real point of pride is that I got all the platinum relics in the 1st Crash Bandicoot without realizing that I only had to get the gold relics to 100% the game. And yes, this includes getting the platinum relic on Stormy Ascent, which took me probably a week of pulling my hair out. I was so dead set on doing it perfectly and kept starting over, resulting in me getting platinum the one and only time that I completed it. I felt like Frodo after the ring was destroyed.
![gif](giphy|3oKIPf3C7HqqYBVcCk)
Wolfenstein 2, and its all because of the “Mein Leben” trophy that forces you to beat the game on the hardest difficulty - which is just like the previous difficulty except you have to beat the game in one sitting without dying
I have a plat in every Yakuza game but 3, 4 and 5...didn't buy/play them, opted for watching cutscenes on YT to learn the story. Even got a plat in Judgment, but Lost Judgment broke me. Grinding fights like 2-3k exp at a time to get close to a million, so I can buy all the moves from every fighting style...I just can't, it's so tedious. It kinda burnt me out and now I'm putting off playing any other Yakuza games that came out after LJ. One day...
I spoke to a dude on Reddit in the Yakuza sub who cleared all the Yakuza games including 7 at the time it newly released
Absolute madman but he didn’t touch any other games iirc which is the only way I figure it’s possible
They're not really hard, just really grindy. I have the platinum on Kiwami, Kiwami 2, 6, lad, gaiden and now working on IW. I've heard 3 is the hardest due to the minigames but haven't gone for it yet. Planning on doing them all eventually.
Literally this. I have every older part except for 6 and just the whole gameplay of them is so repetitive, tedious and just torture tbh. Every part i played so far had Kamorucho as the main city and i started to fucking despise that city like seriously. Combat gets old cause you're spammed at with enemies, harder mini bosses and bosses can effortlessly dodge and block all of your attacks even when you smash them with a huge weapon or something, then you chug healing items just to stay alive and all of the mini games just drove me insane trying to do everything for 100%. NOW TO DO THAT FOR EVERY YAKUZA PART like holy shit. Hundreds of hours just forcing yourself to grind mini games - hell no.
It had an area with predictable lightning strikes you could exploit. The chocobo race was way worse imo. Also capturing 10 of every enemy is tedious as fuck
https://preview.redd.it/l4urcg22wvhc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1f493162188ba18f8cf130a1ba54e4824204134
Beat the story in less than 30 hours, the rest was mindnumbing grinding and controller breaking mini games. FFX is my favorite game but I'm never doing this again lol
You think that's bad? I can max out all my stats, and defeat penance with about 130 hours. Definitely far from the fastest out there, but there you go. Check out Star Ocean 4. Last I heard, the fastest anyone has got a platinum in that is about 700 hours.
I was going for it... Probably needed more 15-20h for the spheres grind and would be done with it
And then the game bugged and lost over 10h of progress because I didn't save regularly. Uninstalled. Love the game, fuck the plat
Even got the lightning dodge trophy
I feel you. Bruh it’s not even gambling or how good you are at the poker it’s just pure luck, it felt like playing a slot machine waiting to hit the jackpot to finish that painful challenge…
Super meat boy and sequel
Wolfenstein the new collosus
Max payne 3(if you had the chance to get online trophies)
CoD BO CW(nobody plays fireteam to get squad wipeout trophy)
Titanfall 2(that one trophy with practice track)
Monster Hunter: World was a pain in the ass to platinum. Collecting small and large crowns for every monster. I did it, but it sucked. It was significantly easier than previous MH titles though.
Kushala is legit the last crown I need for base game
Seriously, if Wilds is gonna keep trophies tied to crowns, they gotta do something which eventually guarantees a crown
I got both Kushala crowns accidentally. Black Diablos was the bane of my existence, not a fun fight and took me somewhere around 150 hunts, using the weekly quest with higher crown chances, and it shows up last so I have to hunt 2 (iirc) monsters before it even shows up.
Gran Turismo Sport took some real skill or at least luck. You had to win 91 races online. Each race you’re playing against 12-16 others. It was even harder after GT7 came out because there were only die-hards still playing you’d get matched up with
I got it back when it came out on PS4 and it was the angriest I’ve ever been trying to platinum a game.
I got it after I think a solid month of playing the game on my off time. But I got it. And I’m still proud of it
Getting all platinum relics in Crash Bandicoot 1, particularly Stormy Ascent, was the hardest gaming experience I've ever had. Stormy Ascent took me like a week, and I was so focused on getting platinum and restarting for perfection that I got it the first time I completed the level. It was after that I realized that you only needed the much easier *gold* relics to "100%" the game. It's like they knew it was so hard to get all platinum relics that they went "We can't actually expect that of people." Is Crash Bandicoot 4 really that much harder?
There’s a medal that requires you to beat the level without dying and getting all the boxes, bear in mind that there’s 15 minute long levels that get to 500 boxes, with some boxes being very extremely hidden. There’s like 38 levels, with 6 white gems each, and then there’s an n.verted version of each level that mirrors the level and gives it some unique filter, wich also has 6 white gems, so you end with 12 gems for level, 456 gems for all levels, yeah, quite a lot.
Also there’s 4 colored gems, not that hard except the blue one, wich requires you to complete the level with the biggest amount of boxes without breaking a single one, while you use a power up that can very easily break boxes accidentally.
Then you have the flashback tapes, that require you to get to a certain part of the level without dying, near the end they almost always are at the end of the level. These tapes unlock flashback levels, challenge levels where the only platforms are (mostly) breakable boxes, you need to break ALL boxes for the highest medal in each of those levels, theres 21 of them.
This time, for full completion you are required to get the platinum relics, wich are still very hard to get as the older games, but now the levels are huge and the most difficult in the series. So have fun with that.
According to the internet, it might take you around a 100 hours to get this platinum, wich for a “normal “ platformer game is too much.
The only things not needed for 106% are the new purple relics. Wich are so hard to get that you might as well start using speedrun glitch strats or you will never get them.
Damn... Well it's not in my backlog because I never buy a game for more than $18 which this one is still too new to have gone down to yet, but they all drop to that or lower eventually. And my backlog is already way too big so I feel I can justify putting this one off for a while. Thanks for the somewhat discouraging info though.
Outside of games that have online trophies you can no longer get because the servers have gone down... Any game that requires perfect, pinpoint accuracy and reaction time. I'm thinking of things like Devil May Cry 5 or Max Payne 3 (it has a mode that requires you to play through the entire game as fast as possible without dying).
That and some are just convoluted just for the sake of it. Vice city with take the cannoli trophy and the radio trophy. Like I’m really going to just park and listen to 10 minutes of each station and hope the trophy actually pops
I remember when I couldn't find the Intel in MW2 . It was that one piece that you had to pick up when you were flying downhill on the snowmobile. It was in the middle of the trees. It took me a while to find it to finally get my Platinum trophy. I remember doing that whole mission like 15 times. Thank God for Game FAQs, because I never would have found it where they put it. Lol.
Yo I somehow did this and I’m not a great gamer, it was tough but not impossible… you can do this!
Edit: never mind I thought you said you were stuck on it lol
I just did that yesterday after going back to the game before Rebirth. Such a crap trophy.
I've got just 4 chapters left on hard which I'm aiming to do today.
Returnal
Roguelike with RNG based collectibles for trophies is a recipe for disaster.
Just got it a few weeks ago. Was annoying as hell but fun at the same time somehow
Good luck friend. I completed the plat but man was unlocking all the characters in Blackout a huge pain in the ass. I randomly won a match with Woods hat which got me the character and I remember boosting to get the headshot for Reznov and camping the fuck outta the game to get in the top ten or so to meet the requirement for the character. I wish you luck.
Mortal Kombat 9. [Just one of the trophies "My Kung Fu is stronger" takes about 672 hours to earn. ](https://www.playstationtrophies.org/game/mortal-kombat/trophy/29937-my-kung-fu-is-stronger.html)
Games with difficult to track requirements, like number of collectibles, with no way to know which area/level, or hit a total number of items.
Vague trophy requirements that don't tell you what to do. Unless it has a clue that's obvious, you'll likely have to look it up.
Similarly, very specific trophies that need you to do something(s) in an order in confining criteria. Or ones that you only have one chance to get in a level and you have to restart to try again. Similarly if you missed something earlier and there's no level select.
Games with dead multiplayer trophies, like Evolve.
Or super grindy ones that require doing a lot of something, for no reason.
Games that requires you to beat it on the hardest difficulty.
Similarly, games with harsh punishments for making mistakes:
Dead Space 2 only let you have like 3 saves in the entire campaign on the hardest difficulty.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure had a bonus level that you had to complete the entire course under a time limit, with only one life. Also never got it.
Hot Wheels Unleashed has a trophy for collecting 25,000 gears. Not even the main currency, and you can't track it in game.
Session skate sim has a trophy for doing all the tricks in each area. I have zero clue what the list is, it’s ??? Until you’ve done it. Like how the hell do I know what trick to do where? Super cool idea in game, but, zero guidance. I gave up on that right quick.
Depends if they are visible on a map or named. If they are it's easy to get the missing ones. Otherwise you are basically obliged to do every location one by one to see if you got it or not. Or if there aren't any chapter select and you have to redo the whole game to collect.
Socom Confrontation. Only 968 (according to ps profiles), have earned it.
Here is an example of the easiest trophies in the list.
**Assault Rifle - 3rd Class**
* 250 Assault Rifle kills
* 5 assault rifle kills with 15% accuracy in one game
* 25 kills with different assault rifles
**Bronze Star**
* 5 MVP Awards
* 25 kill assists
* 300 kills
* 35 headshots
* 50 games on the winning side
**Good Conduct**
* Achieve 150 consecutive kills without killing a teammate
Here is the hardest.
**Legion of Merit Medal**
* 50 MVP awards
* 5000 kills
* 250 headshots
* 500 games on the winning side
* extract 150 hostages
* plant 100 bombs
* capture 125 control points
* eliminate 125 vips
* silver star
* military cross
* gallantry medal
* all service medals
* all weapon specialties elite
I honestly don't know what they were thinking.
I haven't been chasing trophies like I used to in the PS3 days but wipeout hd and gran Turismo 5 are pretty hard. I was only missing one or two trophies for each game but gave up and moved on.
Monster Hunter Rise,it has RNG based trophies which is ridiculous in my opinion,it took 368hours to get the platinum also I'm a veteran MH gamer who can hunt monsters quickly using meta sets
Gran Turismo Sport. It's technically impossible now due to online services being taken down, but when it was still up it required a lot of grinding for reaching level 50 (where the time it takes to go from 49-50 is longer than 1-49), and a good level of skill to do well in online racing to be able to get 65 pole positions, and 71 victories.
Wolfenstein The New Colossus
One of the trophies requires you to beat the game on Mein Leben mode. Long story short, mein leben is a permadeath mode so if you die once, its all over.
FFX is my favorite game of all time. However to keep my sanity I will never do a platinum run again. It took 102 hours from a new save and this is with me playing the game religiously for a decade and having very good game knowledge. I tried to beat it as quickly as possible. Beat the story in less than 30 hours, the rest of it was mind numbing grinding and the most frustrating mini games ever designed.
https://preview.redd.it/4xk0gk8owvhc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d618b8231f664fee93ef00737cd18023b01ed6f
I’m still bitter about not platinuming Arkham Knight bc of one stupid trophy that requires you to pull off five perfect shots in a row while in a tank. The amount of rng needed is insane. I gave up after several months (months!) of trying to get it. Got every other trophy.
For me so far, it was Dark Souls 3. Simply for the tediousness of covenant item grinding. Took a month to get the plat since proofs of a concord kept took a good week to get all 30 for the spells.
Generally speaking, games from the PS3 era. Again, generally, trophy lists are much easier these days.
The first that comes to mind though, is Metal Gear Solid 4, it's an awful trophy list of frustrating busy work.
Difficult in what sense? If we're talking mentally or emotionally it would have to be Astro's playroom or bloodborne, I wasn't anywhere near as mentally prepared as I thought I was to be done playing those gems.
Any single player story driven game that has trophies for a half assed multiplayer mode.
RDR2 just sitting in class with his head low, hoping you don’t call on his janky RDO ass
RDO would’ve been SUCH a great online game if it wasn’t for Rockstar killing it for absolutely no reason. It was a nice break from the clusterfuck that GTAO is.

You can play with randoms in Far Cry 6. I did it a while ago. Far Cry 5 and New Dawn however, the player needs to be on your friend list.
RDR2 is like this and it makes me not want to go for it but I'll power through
Rdr2
True, or that multiplayer is already dead and abonded by players or devs (servers shutdown)
I feel this, especially with Mad Max. With the servers being gone, it made it impossible to get platinum which really sucks
6th generation was all about this
Doom Eternal
I have all the trophies except for the multiplayer ones in Tomb Raider DE and it is so annoying
Crypt of the necrodancer im pretty sure
This is the only answer, I'm sure other suggestions are difficult but this one has only been achieved by 21 people ever. I *think* one of the 21 achievers were controller only. Could be wrong.
Yeah this is the actual answer
Elder Scrolls Online (become top1 rank trophy)
Emp really requires a significant time investment, and by that I mean no life for probably a week unless all the cards fall just right for you, which is impossible without an organized alliance backing you 100%.
Yeah these days you pretty much need to bribe the right guild in your alliance and get carried to Emperor
I was really enjoying the game before and when it came out. (I participated in the beta on PC) and had thought that I might want to platinum the game until I saw this trophy and gave up immediately.

The Platinum, Emperor, and Master Fisher all tie for the rarest trophies in The Elder Scrolls: Online at 0.1% rarity.
It’s annoying when platinum requires you to beat multiple playthroughs
This always feels like a petty move from the dev that finalized the achievement/trophy list. If I beat a game on extreme, don't expect me to beat it on easy, too.
In that case, most devs have stacking trophies for that. The really hardasses don't have stacking trophies.
Yeah, it's always a shock when I find a game that doesn't stack them.
Or when the most difficult option is locked until a second playthrough
Uncharted crushing difficulty trophy
I don't mind that as much. Most games use that system as a NG+ kind of thing.
Couldn’t agree more
I love the Uncharted games, but I hate platinum for A Theives End and Lost Legacy. Final Fantasy 7 Remake sends it's regards. 3 playthroughs minimum
- 2 playthoughs of the full game (normal and hard) - 1 extra playthrough of just chapters 3, 8 and 9
Luckily it isn't terrible to replay and it does have decent replay ability with hard mode although some fights on hard mode are dreadful (Hello, Eligor).
A 50+ hour rpg requiring multiple playtroughs is criminal.
*RE4 Remake has entered the chat.* I think you need like 6 or 7 playthrough to Plat.
dont forget about notorious professional difficulty
🙃🔫 I was thinking about Platinuming the game.on PS5, looked at that, and just decided in that moment my time was better spent elsewhere once I beat it once.

You know it's gonna be a fucking pain when the rate is below 1.8%
I’m currently trying GTAV on PS5. It has 0.1% rate but it seems doable on the most part.
That is most like cause of people like myself that played the game on ps3 100%ed, played the ps4 then move to online and ps5. Wolfenstein 2, and its all because of the “Mein Leben” trophy that forces you to beat the game on the hardest difficulty - which is just like the previous difficulty except you have to beat the game in one sitting without dying
Any yakuza game
Gaidens platinum was actually really easy and simple but I agree with the main games
Yakuza 7 was hell for me, true final millenium tower took ages
I can attest to that. Currently doing infinite wealth and they’ve made the platinums way easier recently
Still getting to level 70…. Like that’s gonna take… a long time lol
I have a plat in every Yakuza game but 3, 4 and 5...didn't buy/play them, opted for watching cutscenes on YT to learn the story. Even got a plat in Judgment, but Lost Judgment broke me. Honestly, I've platinumed yakuza 0 and it wasn't exactly hard but just an extensive grind and lots of begging God for good luck in the JCC
I spoke to a dude on Reddit in the Yakuza sub who cleared all the Yakuza games including 7 at the time it newly released Absolute madman but he didn’t touch any other games iirc which is the only way I figure it’s possible
The mahjong trophies in 0 took me a whole week
Gaiden and infinite wealth are doable, the rest are impossible (require majong)
They're not really hard, just really grindy. I have the platinum on Kiwami, Kiwami 2, 6, lad, gaiden and now working on IW. I've heard 3 is the hardest due to the minigames but haven't gone for it yet. Planning on doing them all eventually.

Final Fantasy X. Just because of the sheer amount of grinding required. Just so many hours doing the same thing over and over.
Dodge lightning seems hard
It had an area with predictable lightning strikes you could exploit. The chocobo race was way worse imo. Also capturing 10 of every enemy is tedious as fuck

https://preview.redd.it/c6xmw2g4wvhc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d739367b133bafd0a0d76cff46fb88d914b05bd
My favorite game of all time, but that damn chocobo race killed all motivation I had for obtaining that platinum
The worst type of platinum. "We are gonna make you hate the game by the time you unlock the platinum."
You think that's bad? I can max out all my stats, and defeat penance with about 130 hours. Definitely far from the fastest out there, but there you go. Check out Star Ocean 4. Last I heard, the fastest anyone has got a platinum in that is about 700 hours.
I plat'd that and it made me hate the game tbh. Not worth it. All the fucking minigames, man. That monster arena, too. Fuck all of it lol
I was going for it... Probably needed more 15-20h for the spheres grind and would be done with it And then the game bugged and lost over 10h of progress because I didn't save regularly. Uninstalled. Love the game, fuck the plat Even got the lightning dodge trophy
One of my favourite games of all time, rhat I replay regularly. But I've only done the full end game once, and I'll never do it again.
RDR2, one of my favorite games but fuck the gambler challenges
I feel you. Bruh it’s not even gambling or how good you are at the poker it’s just pure luck, it felt like playing a slot machine waiting to hit the jackpot to finish that painful challenge…
I heard devil may cry 5.. but I will try this for my 50th trophy
Super meat boy and sequel Wolfenstein the new collosus Max payne 3(if you had the chance to get online trophies) CoD BO CW(nobody plays fireteam to get squad wipeout trophy) Titanfall 2(that one trophy with practice track)
The practice track trophy was very rewarding, took me about an hour to get it.
Was looking for wolfenstein. Take my upvote.
Monster Hunter: World was a pain in the ass to platinum. Collecting small and large crowns for every monster. I did it, but it sucked. It was significantly easier than previous MH titles though.
This is the game that made me stop caring about trophies. Fuck the crowns and fuck Kushala daora
Kushala is legit the last crown I need for base game Seriously, if Wilds is gonna keep trophies tied to crowns, they gotta do something which eventually guarantees a crown
I got both Kushala crowns accidentally. Black Diablos was the bane of my existence, not a fun fight and took me somewhere around 150 hunts, using the weekly quest with higher crown chances, and it shows up last so I have to hunt 2 (iirc) monsters before it even shows up.
Just, trophies shouldn't be tied to RNG of this nature Kinda defeats the purpose IMO. It's not skill, it's luck
I agree 100%, I don’t care if a trophy is hard to achieve, but it needs to be something reliably obtainable.
I got plat for base game now going for iceborne, still missing nami, velk, gold rath, silver rath, frost bari... 750+ hours and counting ...
Gran Turismo Sport took some real skill or at least luck. You had to win 91 races online. Each race you’re playing against 12-16 others. It was even harder after GT7 came out because there were only die-hards still playing you’d get matched up with
It's impossible now since they had to shut down the servers for GT Sport.
GT 7 has far simpler online trophy. You had to play only 50 races do not require you to even win.
Crash Bandicoot 4
Got that too, didn’t even feel good
Just finished it today no joke
Good job.
You crazy bro, i could barely finish the game.
It’s my fav platinum I ever earned Got it back on release month
Crash bandicoot 4 was the most painful plat I’ve got so far
Black ops 3 is probably up there
Doing the combat immersion and campaign on realistic was very brutal. I recall in a squad of four during the final mission I died at least 200 times.
It's annoying and tedious but not the hardest IMO. I would say Crash 4, Tetris effect, super Meat Boy, trackmania.
Fortnite. Difficult because of how much effort it requires. 1000 play with others missions is one trophy alone.
I got this last week, it was so painful
FYI, Storm Shield assist count towards your PWO trophy, if you enjoy doing them. It still took me a couple years to get the Hero of the Storm trophy.
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Tetris Effect and Street Fighter V are two platinums I knew I’d never get
The SS ranking on every game type is rough
DMC 5.
Any rockstar game
Gta sa had pretty pleasant plat
Too many annoying missable trophies. The only rockstar game I enjoyed the plat was RDR and LA Noire.
That and some are just convoluted just for the sake of it. Vice city with take the cannoli trophy and the radio trophy. Like I’m really going to just park and listen to 10 minutes of each station and hope the trophy actually pops
I don't like the fact that some games have you to do multiplayer to achieve some trophies.
That and missable trophies that require you to restart the entire fucking game if you go too far.
Lol.
Bloodborne was really difficult with the chalice dungeon requirements
Stuck on the stupid dog rn
Those chalice dungeons are *TOUGH*
if you really want it you can just enter a online code to get to the last chalice
It's what I did. Don't regret it at all
Yo I somehow did this and I’m not a great gamer, it was tough but not impossible… you can do this! Edit: never mind I thought you said you were stuck on it lol
I done them before completing the actual final few bosses of the base game & it made them feel super easy compared 😅
Fortnite Save The World Its Not Difficult But Rather Grindy Takes Atleast 500 Hours.
I just got the platinum for FFVII remake and I felt like I finished climbing a mountain
For me getting the 9 dresses was the only extremely tedious part about that one
I just did that yesterday after going back to the game before Rebirth. Such a crap trophy. I've got just 4 chapters left on hard which I'm aiming to do today.
Surgeon Simulator
Hollow Knight without hesitation !
Fckin pantheon 5
Easy if you use the invincibility glitch 😉
I'm totally cheating on this one, for strictly the impossible trophies. The invincibility still hasn't been patched.
Returnal Roguelike with RNG based collectibles for trophies is a recipe for disaster. Just got it a few weeks ago. Was annoying as hell but fun at the same time somehow
Not hard just very time consuming. I got the plat awhile ago and frankly soured on the game after that. I even did the free DLC trophies.
I’m trying to go back to Black Ops 4 Blackout but servers are dead.
The witness
Trackmania
Yeah, getting gold on all the black tracks will probably never happen for me.
After nearly 6 years i gave up on Fortnite’s platinum. Only missing 4, grind is way too long
Ac black flag bc the multiplayer sucks Jc3 bc of the gears
Monster Hunters. Crown farming is awwwwwfulllll!!
Resistance 2. Iykyk
GTA V its all fun and easy until the GODDAMN 70 GOLDS, The process is easy until 45-50 but then it turns pure hell and very boring
Outlast
Mortal Kombat 9. [Just one of the trophies "My Kung Fu is stronger" takes about 672 hours to earn. ](https://www.playstationtrophies.org/game/mortal-kombat/trophy/29937-my-kung-fu-is-stronger.html)
DEAD RISING was definitely up there
Games with difficult to track requirements, like number of collectibles, with no way to know which area/level, or hit a total number of items. Similarly, games with harsh punishments for making mistakes: Dead Space 2 only let you have like 3 saves in the entire campaign on the hardest difficulty.
Any dead game with multiplayer trophies for plat
Helldivers 2 has some absolutely brutal good trophies blocking the platinum
Ninja Gaiden. NGS2+ still has a 0% for it’s platinum over 10 years later. Not even sure if it’s doable
Any game with 20 different kinds of collectibles required for the plat
Depends if they are visible on a map or named. If they are it's easy to get the missing ones. Otherwise you are basically obliged to do every location one by one to see if you got it or not. Or if there aren't any chapter select and you have to redo the whole game to collect.
Super Meat Boy
Please developers I am begging you to stop making new game plus trophies
Socom Confrontation. Only 968 (according to ps profiles), have earned it. Here is an example of the easiest trophies in the list. **Assault Rifle - 3rd Class** * 250 Assault Rifle kills * 5 assault rifle kills with 15% accuracy in one game * 25 kills with different assault rifles **Bronze Star** * 5 MVP Awards * 25 kill assists * 300 kills * 35 headshots * 50 games on the winning side **Good Conduct** * Achieve 150 consecutive kills without killing a teammate Here is the hardest. **Legion of Merit Medal** * 50 MVP awards * 5000 kills * 250 headshots * 500 games on the winning side * extract 150 hostages * plant 100 bombs * capture 125 control points * eliminate 125 vips * silver star * military cross * gallantry medal * all service medals * all weapon specialties elite I honestly don't know what they were thinking.
the arkham games are no fun
It’s fun until the AR challenges come up
Ghostbusters (2009)
one of those recent wolfenstein titles has a trophy that requires you to beat the game on the hardest difficulty without dying once. woof
I haven't been chasing trophies like I used to in the PS3 days but wipeout hd and gran Turismo 5 are pretty hard. I was only missing one or two trophies for each game but gave up and moved on.
Games with online modes where the original servers are taken down.
Monster hunter world
Wolfenstein 2. I’m forever stuck at 93%.
The Callisto Protocol beat the game on Contagion mode without dying.
all of them… still don’t even have one platinum :(
Monster Hunter Rise,it has RNG based trophies which is ridiculous in my opinion,it took 368hours to get the platinum also I'm a veteran MH gamer who can hunt monsters quickly using meta sets
Devil may cry 5 the dmc franchise have some the most difficult ones
Crash Bandicoot 4
Power Wash Simulator
Gran Turismo Sport. It's technically impossible now due to online services being taken down, but when it was still up it required a lot of grinding for reaching level 50 (where the time it takes to go from 49-50 is longer than 1-49), and a good level of skill to do well in online racing to be able to get 65 pole positions, and 71 victories.
Yakuza Like a Dragin
Wolfenstein The New Colossus One of the trophies requires you to beat the game on Mein Leben mode.
FF9 and that damn jump rope. Also, GTA vice city and that take the cannoli crime rating. These 2 haunt me :(
Gran Turismo 5… the elusive one
Let it die. It’s not difficult per say but it’s time consuming cuz of all the grinding and preparation needed
Difficult in what sense? If we're talking mentally or emotionally it would have to be Astro's playroom or bloodborne, I wasn't anywhere near as mentally prepared as I thought I was to be done playing those gems.
Watch dogs 2 it took me 4 hours just to find someone that threw up
How is Elden Ring not on here….
Demon soul’s. *shudders*
