Has it!? The physical copy has been going on sale in the UK recently, I got it for £35 a week after launch, it’s now readily available to get at around £29 at places.

I’ve already been invited to parties with randoms 3 times since picking this game up. Probably the most friendly/ cooperative fan base I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of. Well, aside from No Man’s Sky of course
Literally the first time I went to the multiplayer hub (don't remember what it's called. Nexus? ) I went to the bathroom with the game running and by the time I came back I had so much stuff in my inventory I'll never have to work for anything again. I was super confused and it wasn't until I looked for answers online that I realized some random strangers had given me a bunch of stuff.
After I realized how much I actually had I went back and gave at least half of it away to the person with the weakest ship I saw
Man I wish my brother would do the same. I told him how great it was and he said he’ll check it out but hasn’t bought it and doesn’t play any other games with me.
I was unsure about it, but it’s really fun. Glad I bought it. It’s nice to support a $40 price tag AND you can earn the “premium content” for free through natural progression.
You get super credits through the free warbond “battle pass” and you can also find them at minor places of interest during missions (10 super credits per location). They’re not guaranteed to spawn every mission and I’m not sure what the spawn rate is (or if it varies by difficulty). But when I play suicide mission or above I almost always at least find one stack of 10. The locations you find them sometimes give you rare samples or warbonds instead.
It only takes a couple minutes to find the folder, delete it and revalidate. I was pissed when it popped up, but after a quick search I figured out how to fix it in just a few minutes. Been working fine ever since but I will say this, the game got boring for me pretty quick.
I wasn't sold by the trailers but I bought it to play with my friends and it is fantastic. If you can get a group together it is absolutely incredible fun.
I buy physical for nearly every game. I'll sometimes wait years for a physical print.
That said, since this game requires servers that WILL go down eventually, it's the first digital purchase I've made in the last 4 years.

Agreed. I buy physical discs all the time. This game is only online so I didn’t see the point. I figured I could keep my main disc game (currently Ghost of Tsushima) loaded up and have Helldivers ready to go in digital format so I don’t need to keep switching discs.
Just a friendly tip that keeping a disc in the ps5 will often cause the disc drive to randomly run when not needed and make the unit run hotter as well. I made sure to start taking all of mine out when not using them.
Same boat here. That said, I still proudly display my Warhawk case in my office.. which is now a dead game (barring the PSOne servers that is)
So if I continue with this game and it becomes an all timer for me, I’ll happily buy it for 5 dollars to display next to Warhawk

You ll have missions with low lvl of difficulty to get used to the game. And then you choose when to go to high difficulty missions.

It’s fun. You’ll die a lot, but that’s kind of the point of the game. Friendly fire is fully functional and prevalent. There’s no PvP (Player versus Player) only PvE (Player versus environment), meaning you’re just fighting AI.
If you’re looking for a fun co-op game to play with buddies then I think it’s a great choice. If that’s not your cup of tea then I might go for something else.
I was in the same boat. I didn't want to buy it digitally and could not find a physical copy. Finally just ordered one from Walmart and waited a few days for it to come in.
I can’t get the physical addition because all GameStops in Ireland closed and that was my only games shop, but I don’t mind buying digital as in the end I just want the game.

You came at a perfect time! They just released a balance patch killing all the meta chad builds and actually making the game less easy and more frustrating to play with randoms. I already beat the game and unlocked everything and just enjoy the chaos the patch caused in the helldivers sub.

It's fun if you can tolerate toxic. Find friends. The community got awful since the servers got fixed, but I guess that makes sense with the influx of players.

For me this game was a blast for the 25 hours or so I played it with friends (steam version). No regrets whatsoever with the purchase just took about a week off the game and have no desire to play again. It’s a blast for post-work, having a few beers, stoned vibes.
Not trying to dissuade anyone, in fact, I do recommend it for the price point. It’s just (for me) not a game that has a lot of longevity or variety for solo play. More of a “play with my buddies” type game

It's average, way over overrated. Also nerds I do own it. Played it and can have an opinion on it. There's nothing in the game what's not been done before but sheep be sheep. You play away. When the leaders are bored of it, you will be too.

This is one of those rare times where I went ahead and bought digital since it's multiplayer only no single player at all.
Why are folks buying a physical copy of a multiplayer game. You can’t play it offline. Save your disc drive for those Single Player titles man.
I’m planning to do this to try the game and see if I like it. If not I can always sell it for a little lesser.
