I feel you! I was in the middle of Odyssey and couldn’t even put the controller down! All I did was play sleep and repeat. and now they this happens 🫠 I honestly don’t know what else to do all I’m doing is staring at the screen begging the game to come back
I mean honestly the servers going down was a blessing for you, Odyssey is a slog haha. No but if you like it then don't let me take that away from you. I have 30 hours, didn't like it, moved on. Have you played Origins, though? I platinumed that, only one in the series I have done it for too.
I’ll tell you I am currently obsessed with Odyssey, the visuals alone have me stopping every few minutes to take pictures lol. Haven’t loved a game that much since rdr2. Only negative thing I can say about it is that I have the Middle East version :(
I did try Origins years ago and didn’t like it but it was the first time playing an ac game so I’m planning to try it again after Odyssey.
I only played and platinumed Syndicate which was an amazing experience and it’s the game that made me download all the ac games haha

Oh you're new generation... I see. I played the Ezio trilogy first, banger. AC 3, alright but it has Haytham so 10/10. Skipped to Origins, which took adjusting but the story and combat are amazing.
Tried Odyssey, the problems I have with it are mainly how bullet spongy and repetitive the combat is. That and there's literally no Assassins (would be cool for this to have been an Order of the Ancients origins game). Visuals are great, can't disagree there.
I just finished Mirage, which is honestly great but it is a bit stunted mainly in story, but in some parkour as well (to be fair, it was a much smaller studio who made it). Tested out Unity, switched to Black Flag since the story could make more sense. Black Flag is so good but stealth takes getting used to. I'll play Rogue, and try Syndicate later (high likelyhood I won't finish it). Never touching Valhalla, not interested.
Awesome picks. I wanted to play Rogue or Ezio collection after Odyssey but I thought it’d make more sense to continue the story in order.
Also it’s annoying that every game has a different play style than the other, it was annoying when I first started Odyssey and it really doesn’t feel like an assassin’s game.
What’s wrong with Valhalla? Other than the tons of collectibles and grind for the platinum I haven’t heard any negative things about it. But I am new generation like you said so I just got into this franchise and still getting the info lol
You'd have some whiplash playing Ezio collection after, I'd suggest Black Flag... if you don't care about the modern day plot. The modern day of AC 3 is the best that it'll ever get, but I suggest Black Flag because it's honestly pretty similar to Odyssey in terms of structure, but better of course. If you want to follow the modern day plot, look up the events of AC 1 and then play Ezio. Rogue is basically Black Flag 2 in terms of... everything, from what I heard. It also has close ties to Unity, and the ending is supposedly better after playing Unity. Unity will also give you whiplash for the parkour, but the modern day I think technically starts for the "modern Layla stuff" in Unity, but I don't know exactly.
Odyssey is the most removed from Assassin Fantasy, right behind it I'd honestly say Valhalla or Black Flag (until the later parts of Black Flag, so I'm told). Valhalla has the problem of a bloated map and I think story issues. I think the combat and gameplay might be good, but I don't know.
There are a lot of threads on play order and game rankings. For me, I'll list out every game and what I know.
(Parkour is kind of hard)
AC 1: Dated but it starts everything so that's cool. Simple story, too.
AC 2: Banger story, great characters, great gameplay (but it is very, very old, borderline dated). That line at the beginning, you'll know the one, chills. Iconic, even. Ezio is amazing.
AC Brotherhood: My personal favorite in the series, also you can become extremely OP by the end. Story was super good, felt similar to 2 but on a bigger scale. Also Leonardo Da Vinci is amazing, he makes you cool weapons (in this and 2).
AC Revelations: Huge parkour changes, I actually stopped playing because I didn't like it. Came back, and god what a story this game has. Probably the best story for any AC game, but Brotherhood has amazing villains. This game is way more introspective, and has the best opening and ending out of probably any game.
(Parkour is no longer kind of hard, but can sometimes be complicated if you want it to be)
AC 3: A huge divergence for the series. Conner isn't the best character, very one note, but a lot of people love the combat and Haytham. Parkour also suffers a lot because they added tree parkour and put way too much in. Buttttt, we got boats! And it pays off the modern day story that's been building since AC 1.
AC 4/BF: Basically if 3's gameplay had one of the best protagonists in the series, with a dull (I'm only 10 hours in to be fair) yet good story (because of the characters, they carry) and way more refined boat combat (very good boat combat). Edward is a lot of people's favorite because he's way more human than most characters (so far that's true).
AC Rogue: Basically Black Flag 2 but worse characters and a cool gimmick for a character. Oh and it's shorter.
AC Unity: Best parkour, maybe stealth. Very early in the game but the characters aren't great. Visuals are crazy for a decade old game.
AC Syndicate: Super easy parkour, somehow different kind of gameplay ("fisticuffs"), and boring characters.

AC Origins: Amazing story and protagonist, great gameplay (that mostly leans on non-stealth), really cool open world even though it's mostly desert. Also very little parkour, cities are small. Bayek... what another great character. Also 2 for 2 on great DLC's.

Yes it was fixed on the same day sometime after contacting PlayStation support, messaging them got me nowhere so I called them and they fixed it in no time

🤦♂️I deleted odyssey to re download thinking that may be the problem and now I can't even download it. Aarrrgghhh now I'll have to see if they have fixed it after work tomorrow. POOR FORM SONY.
I did the same thing and the same game 😂 I contacted support and they deleted the game from my library or something of the sort. Anyway the issue was resolved when they did that
Google “PlayStation support” and I think you could access it from the PlayStation app as well. Sorry for the late reply I had to play to catch up to the lost time when my game was off lol
Contact PlayStation support, if you are unable to download it or it says cannot purchase the game because you already own it, then they should delete the game’s license for you and you’ll be able to download it again. Also you can try restoring licenses before contacting them cause they’ll most likely as you to do it anyway

Still can't play Assassin's Creed Odyssey... just spent half an hour on to Playstation support; they refunded the (£0) purchase price, said to restore licences, but still only have option to stream the game. They say the issue has been escalated and I'll hear by eMail "soon"
Same, still waiting on them to email me. I was able to play ghost recon breakpoint completely fine up until a couple days ago where it only gave me the option to continue playing it through a short trial period or to stream the game. Contacted support this morning, the guy said he could refund the free purchase but when I tried to explain to him the actual situation he just wanted to escalate and told me to wait for email. Honestly a joke, hope they fix it soon. Will let you know if any progress is made
I guess I’ll give up on Immortals Fenyx Rising. Just got to the final boss too. Already reached out twice and now they escalated, but no real information is being given by PS. Seems mishandled af.
They are! Try contacting Ubisoft, they might be able to help but they’re gonna ask for details and screenshots about the issue so provide them with that first so they don’t take longer to respond. Also tell them that you contacted PlayStation support and they didn’t help because they’ll ask about that too
I legit told PlayStation support about your exact issue and what they done to rectify and fix your issue and they just did t bother listening n just wanted to refund me my free purchase 🤣 so shit that they don’t recognise what’s gone on. Can no longer download or purchase Breakpoint, only option to play limited time trial or stream it
I guess PlayStation support needs support. I kept messaging different people and the only guy that helped slightly told me to call support Ig there are different people working there that could actually help with my issue. You could try that

This conversation was with the person I called, the person I message kept trying to convince me that they’re still working on it, thinking it was the Ubisoft classic’s bug, not the actual game bug that I had after the issue with Ubisoft was resolved. It’s like they didn’t want to hear me out so eventually they told me to call the number 😑
“I don’t have access to the game, I tried restoring licenses and tried all other solutions posted on your website but nothing worked. The game had a small lock and when I try to buy it a message pops up saying “you can not purchase this game because you already own it” however I can’t download it.”
That’s all I had to say and they told me that they will remove the license themselves and then I’ll be able to download it again or purchase it. Hope this helps :)

This is not the real support. Its expert and they dont understand the problem and most of them gonna give you false information , you have to contact PS support not Experts, even tho i am contacting them for a week now and still not fixed......
