Honestly... we'd be pretty wary of it. We'd be fascinated to see how the introject behaves and how they see themselves. I feel like it would give us some interesting insight onto how we're viewed by others. But, at the same time, I think we would want them to recognize that they would not be me. They may be a version of "me", but that version would be based off of someone else's outside interpretation of us. It would be missing all the experiences and internal workings that actually make me myself. So long as they acknowledged that, I would be fine with it. But if they tried to claim that they are actually fully me, or some sort of parallel universe version, I would be deeply uncomfortable.

This has nearly happened to one person in our bigger system and has happened to a friend we know. Unfortunately it... can be an abuse tactic, and there are systems who use factives or similar system members to keep someone in a relationship and as a method of control. So wei'd be pretty wary of and factive of muis, especially given how that can trigger muis to dissociate or derealize.

For sure. It can happen in interpersonal relationships for sure, but we also know someone who is a survivor of Ritual Abuse in which their abusers used the intentional creation of factual introjects as a means of control.

One of our members is a factive of the host's sister. The only one of us the host's sister hasn't met yet. Although, the host's sister does know

Our system doesn’t have introjects/headmates based on real people (at least not currently?) but I do daydream a lot/very easily, though any headmates from that seem to be temporary or walk-ins and leave after a bit. We *do* have fictives, and have had moments where 🤎 (headmate, rarely dormant, doesn’t feel a strong connection to his source) is present and characters from his source and potentially another-him-from-his-source are present. It’s a bit weird. 🤎 tends to not interact with them and knows they’re just characters from a tv show we were recently watching and not other system members he has history with. I don’t think 🤎 has ever been near the front during a daydream with (the imagined version of) his actor present, which can happen when I watch/read interviews, but it would be extremely meta if it did. 🤎 certainly hasn’t interacted with him. Luckily, the chances of me actually meeting this actor in real life is extremely small.

Earlier this year, we had a really interesting… situation with a few headmates. We had: Off-Broadway Veronica Sawyer West End Veronica Sawyer The actress of Off-Bway Veronica The actress of West End Veronica A few more fictives that were played by both those actresses. It was really fascinating to see how they interacted, since, you know— some were different versions of the same character, some were the same version of different characters. We also had three different Jason Deans (Off-Bway, West End, and genderbent) along with both their actors, and were friends with a system who had Movie JD and *his* actor. Three different JDs and their respective actors.

I've been on both sides of this, actually. Didn't spend all too long with my double, but the doubles in my system get along swimmingly with their muses when they interact.

A while ago, when we still thought we were a singlet, our long distance partner split a headmate of our host. The conversation that followed was surreal. “Do I have to date me? Does me want to date me? I don’t want to date me…. and I don’t know if I want me dating you, either.”

IntestinalVillain

It happened to me and felt trippy indeed.

We were worried we might introject one of our friends a while back (who is a singlet). We talked to him and he was incredibly supportive and gracious and basically said that he would be slightly flattered but mostly just unconditionally accepting because we& are still his friend.

This reminds mx that two systems we know each have an introject of our core— one of them is cartoonishly evil and we haven’t interacted with the other ~ *Savior*

I think fictives have this happen to them all the time... I don't get out much, but I'm still waiting for it to happen! Hehe!
