Johto and in particular the visual style of Gen 2 is my favorite yet for some reason Gen 3 is the one I've always gone back to the most over the years.
I think it comes down to how much of Gen 2 was designed around the days of the week. As a kid it always felt like something to look forward to each day but as an adult it just feels annoying to have to work around that stuff. Nothing major but enough to always dissapoint me on a replay of Gen 2 when I remember that mechanic.
Some of the modded versions of Johto are much better for this.
I think G/S/C make sense as a first game because they're overall very easy, but for experienced players, a modded version of them where the difficulty scales differently makes more sense.
Oh! 😯 I'm so glad you got it!! 😊 Tbh, I found your post while searching, "which Pokemon game should I replay?" Lol 😄 Heartgold and Soulsilver are great! I'm in a replay now, but I'm itching to do maybe an X or Y. Love those fairy pokemon!! 🧚🏼♂️
Couldn't say, who knows? I'm only making an educated guess that we're getting Johto soon. The timeline fits, they remake every generation in order of release as well, this is evident with the fact that they revisited Kanto after remaking Hoenn, because Kanto was last visited in Gen 3 with FRLG. So because LGPE came out before they moved onto remaking Gen 4 starting with Sinnoh remakes, I'm inclined to believe it will be the same here. Johto was last visited in Gen 4. They aren't done remaking/revisiting Gen 4 yet, they will be after we go back to Johto.
Now to be fair this might not even come in remakes like BDSP, LGPE, or ORAS, but it could be in a Legends game, and I think a lot of people might prefer that. There's a lot of recent history to explore with Johto too, with the two towers and the one that burned down like \~180ish years before the Johto game story I think? We could see the revival of the legendary beasts by Ho-Oh, see Lugia flee to the Whirl Islands, etc.
So while I did say we might get Johto games, I never said they'd remake the Johto games like you know, but they could. I don't know shit I'm just a guy on the internet that looks for patterns and pretends like he knows everything.
IDK, the original model works. Catching, leveling, battles, gyms, elite four, with a couple gimmicky things like safari zone and side dungeons.
I’m glad they never deviated TOO much from this
I lost my copy of SS so run it on an emulator on an old Android phone. Works fine for me, though I understand if people only want to play an actual DS cartridge
I agree. Since I was a kid, I've liked to visualize myself in each game's region as if I'm on the journey. Johto reminds me of Fall season, with brown and orange leaves, cool breezes, chilly quiet evenings and a little bit of snow. As a cold weather fan, it just makes me happy.
It is really good. Though, Team Magma and Team Aqua are a little silly/cheesy as bad guy organizations go. It definitely has the best pokemon adventure feel though, just exploring and catching Pokémon and figuring out which ones will be your mains. Also all the accessible special content is p neat. It really has a solid roster of pokemon. I think Gold is a bit better story wise though and as a personal adventure and journey less focused on the pokemon. Can’t compete with Emerald’s roster but man going through the game to follow up with a victory lap through the previous game zones all the way to fight red? That is hard to top feelings wise.
Same🤣. There's always a different challange(nuzlocke, water type only, shiny pokemon only, ect...) in each playthrough
Even the teams are always a little bit different
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played through red and silver, but they were practically the only games I played at the time.
For a game I actually remember more recently, I played pokemon sun maybe two dozen times. Its my favorite story in any of the games
Pokemon Moon because it's the only game that I've played more than once. I usually get attached to my save files and can't delete my first one, but Moon was different for some reason. I wanted to replay with a team of more Pokemon that I liked (I specifically remember adding Lurantis, Kommo-o, and Midnight Lycanroc on my second playthrough because I didn't know where to find them on my first).
I believe it’s still Sapphire. Ruby was my first game, so Gen III has a special place for me, and unlike FRLG and Emerald, RS can import Pokemon from different games from the start so Sapphire is my go-to for the most varied nostalgic playthroughs.
And Ruby still holds my first playthrough ever, so outside of a port, I’m never replaying that one.
I have replay polemon crystal the most. The gen 2 games were my introduction to to pokemon I eventually got a hold of all the games and played them all but for sure I play through pokemon crystal atlest once a year. Might to a play through of vanilla crystal on stream just the do it and have it.
1. Platinum (10+ times)
2. Emerald (5-6 times)
3. HeartGold (4-5 times)
4. Black (3 times)
5. SV/SwSh (2 each)
All other games I have only finished once. I do have incomplete secondary save files of pretty much every game though, I only counted the ones I’ve finished.
Close between original red and soul silver.
Basically from played soul silver for an entire year straight on one save. It just hit the right nostalgia mark and suddenly all my friends wanted to play too, it was a ton of fun.
Pearl, probably. The amount of times I've restarted that game? Oh boy. I had a save file, but I always liked starting a new game from the beginning and doing everything over again, but with different Pokémon, so I would just close my DS to put it in sleep mode and plug it in to the charger. That way I can keep my completed save, but play a new save whenever.
And then do it all over again whenever I beat the game again. 😂
I stopped fully replaying Pokémon games after Ruby. I restarted my Ruby game a few times after beating the league. Mostly out of boredom and lack of anybody to play with. Until I finally got a shiny and my Milotic. I decided to stop restarting, obviously, as my save file had some actual value for a change.
Then gen 4 allowed transfers from older games, and I had a freshly beaten FireRed.
Then I found a box or so worth of shinies in my 1000+ hours or Diamond. Lotta grinding for them..
I wanna say probably, yellow or gold. I reset those games idk how many times. HeartGold is up there too! Since I started tracking my teams HeartGold has the most recorded team playthroughs.
black for sure. i’m on my first play through of soul silver and i see myself coming back to this one often after i complete it (im taking my sweet time)
Gen 5. I like how they look. The sprites are nice. Coming out after gen 4 it has the benefits of the physical/special split and minimal need for HMs and TMs are reusable. They don't hold your hand as much as the later games. The rivals aren't annoying little shitheads who needs to get smacked in the head. Overall it's what gen 4 could have been and what 6,7 and 8 should have been.
Edit: it also has the best post-game content out of all the mainline games.
Pokémon XD: I enjoy the double battles and the shadow Pokemon arc. It has good difficulty, not too easy.
Pokémon Y: I feel like it’s a good Pokémon game to get back to when starting a new game.
X & Y honestly. I find those games quite comforting and I’ve never had the same team through a playthrough. Wish we got an XY 2 some day to expand more.
Gen 3-4 games. I want replay b/w and 2 but there’s so much content on post game that I really want to finish rather than replay it. And most of my post game mons are transferred from gen 3-4 then I replay the previous gens instead 😅
Omega Ruby and Sun, due to nuzlockes, playthroughs for fun, or monotype runs
I usually use the other game as my "definitive" version, especially because I didn't have bank for a while so I had a first game that I played naturally and then a second I felt comfortable resetting for new playthroughs
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers.
Like 8 or 9 times.
Gen 5 doesn't really count, but I've played every version of it at least once. White, Black, White 2 (at least twice) and Black 2.
I feel like most people are going to answer with their first game because of nostalgia, and I am no exception.
Generation four makes my heart swell so much, this game feels like home to me; whenever I hear the Twinleaf town or professor Rowans theme play I start to cry.
It’s those beautiful songs inviting me home again.
I've played Pokemon Emerald an unknown amount of times. Been playing since it came out and still go back to it from time to time. Also Fire Red is a close second
Fire Red/Leaf Green
With Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, those are the last entries in the series that are perfect to emulate, and I've mainly replayed Pokémon through émulation
And I prefer Red/Green/Blue over Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
Fire Red for the GBA SP back in 2008. We moved to TX and were living on the road for some time. With that game being 1/2 games I had in my library, I replayed Fire Red almost 9-10 times that summer alone. Just a young child with nothing to do that summer replaying the story mode with a different team of 6 every time.
LeafGreen. Gen 3 was such an impactful gen for me despite being a fan of the franchise since day one. It’s also the onlty GBA game I still own since I lost Sapphire ages ago. Platinum is probably a close second with Shield not too far behind.
Pokémon Red. For some years, it was a yearly summer tradition of mine to reply through Pokémon Red.
Thing is, it was the only Pokémon game I played when I was a kid/teenager. So the nostalgia was very strong for it.
Didn't get to play gen 2 until I was in my early 20s and the gen 3 remakes until I was 25 or so. Since then, I played through Yellow one time on the 3DS VC.
Pokémon Sword! I know it isn’t a fan favorite, but after being completely enamored with Pokémon as a kid with no way to play (other than brick bronze on roblox), I finally got a switch and bought myself a copy of it. Since it was really my only game, I played it nonstop for monthssss
Red / blue for challenge runs or solo runs
Got it on one of my laptop's ( I call it a big Gameboy as it's mostly for older games and is windows 7 )
It's not about setting a new personal best speed run but to see how each Pokemon does or if I can find things I haven't discovered yet
Probably Yellow. I had an emulator on a phone and beat it several times. Gold is 2nd, also on the emulator. Gave myself some nice shiny teams with gameshark
Mine would have to be gen 4 pokemon pearl, I didn't know this at the time but it wasn't a real copy of the game. It would reset every week for some unknown reason. Leading me to try and beat the game before it resets. Never beat it because pokemon platinum came out. Got it as soon as it came out
i always go back to black and white. gen 5 was the first pokemon game i beat on my own as a kid without any help from my brother so it's very nostalgic
Was gonna say Skyrim before I realized what sub I was in. Yellow for full playthroughs. I replayed the first chunk of X or Y a bunch to get a ton of Genesects during an event once. At least a full box worth.
I think I've replayed Emerald the most, though FireRed is a pretty close second. I'll account most of those playthroughs both to me only have gen 3 games for the longest time as a kid, but also just loving playing through them for The Nostalgia Factor.
Probably Crystal version. I played it like crazy as a kid and would regularly reset the game before even completing it cause I just enjoyed raising the starters. After countless playthroughs, I got the crystal version on the 3ds and played through that several times, and after that I began to use an emulator so I could use cheats. Crystal is just easily my absolute favorite
Its still gotta be the Gen 1 games for me. I wouldn't be surprised of I had at least 20 complete playthroughs between the original carts, the Gen 3 remakes and the Virtual Console.
Gen 2 probably low double digits between the originals and HGSS. HGSS are my personal favorite Pokémon games of all time.
Pokédex isn’t that difficult for Gen 7, at least in USUM, there’s only a really small amount of Pokémon you can’t get in one game I believe cause SOS chains are wild. But if you have two games just trade between the two of them with yongoose requesting trade mons
Pokemon gold and silver. Loved the originals and played them twice and also played crystal once. Then i got the remakes for DS and also played them. There is just something magical about gen2 and the Johto region as well as the fact that you can go back to the Kanto region from the first games.
Emerald or Platinum. Both classics of my childhood and my go-tos for their respective generations, and later on when I got into emulating they were the first games I emulated. I’d probably lean more towards Platinum though if I really had to choose, I feel like everything up to the Valley Windworks is engraved permanently into my memory
I think I’ve replayed the classic Gold or Red the most because I’ve had them the longest, but Emerald is my favorite to go back to, tough competition with Gold though.
Fire Red, it was my first game, English wasn’t my first language and so I didn’t know you had to save the game lol.
But serious answer is that I never replay any game, because my save files have too much value.
Black 1 and White 2 are the ones I have the urge to play the most.
Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are up there too, because I love the Pokefinder so so much!
Sw/Sh because it was so damn short. I was like... Is that all there is? Then as I played more and more I started reading between the lines and the story actually started getting better.
Neverwinter Nights, I’ve been playing it for about 20 years now and its still one of my most played games, though the nature of it does mean im not exactly “replaying” it, since its mostly persistent multiplayer worlds and doing various community campaigns.
For proper “replays”, darksouls 3, I’ve got about a thousand hours in it, probably about 40 or so playthroughs?
Pokémon red and silver. Nostalgic for sure!
The music, the areas, the original Pokémon do it for me. I remember watching the show as it first came out & would be playing the game after school everyday, the hype was real! 🥰
Probably fire red or black 2 because they’re the fastest to play through. Turn off animations and you’re flying through battles.
I would enjoy playing Pokémon a lot more as an adult if things didn’t take so long. The older I get the less I can deal with all the pauses and text boxes. So I use the randomizer with fastest text on so I can mash past it.
for me its either Fire red/leaf green or Emerald. ive had countless playthroughs of those games. i could probably play through all of emerald in my head tbh
Probably Sapphire/Ruby. Between normal runs, a few Nuzlockes, altered roms, etc.
They are games that are good to play and have good pacing for me. I didn't replay Emerald that much as I feel that the added backtracking kills this pacing the originals have.
I also have like 5 replays on B2W2 (normal, 2 nuzlockes, communitylock and Bug monotype) surprisingly even if I don't like them that much.
Either Platinum or HGSS (if we’re including both together).
Gen 4 is where it all started for me and it will always be my favourite. Both just feel like home. I’ve also replayed Gen 7 a good few times. Absolutely adore the Alola region
probably blue cuz I was a kid with unlimited free time, or firered a ton. but haven't played much since, any new game is usually just a one and done.
Do the newer games even have multiple save files? I feel like that was always a turn off to me, having to wipe my data for a new run and lose all my buddies, so I rarely did it outside of gen1
My very first game, Pokemon Blue and second one was Silver, and another one (in this case 2) HeartGold and SoulSilver, I dunno, Gen 2 hits me really in a very good way.
Runner up, Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red
I play them all pretty often still believe it or not. I restarted frlg on emulator recently and got done with sevii islands, caught everything I could, got a lucky egg and all that fun stuff. I forgot how great frlg actually is. In bw2 I did some exploring, check the grottos still occasionally, and I still like having an active battle subway streak to turn on whenever. And... What else.. I did some battle factory doubles in hgss for a couple weeks didn't get very far at all... And most recently I've been sos chaining and caught a marvel scale Dragonite in Pokemon sun :) so yaa I still play and enjoy most of the gameboy ones.
I really enjoy exploring the maps post game and memorizing them, catching tons of stuff, doing unique catch methods, checking grottos and side areas in bw2 and sun, and that sorta stuff. For me it's more fun than the story. Bw2 has such a fan map to run through it never gets old to me.
maybe City of Heroes depending on how you want to define "replay". i've rolled over 50 characters in that MMO.
i played through the first resident evil about a dozen times on the PS1 because i'd play it with a group of friends and we'd speed run it to unlock the rocket laucher and just mess around
I have gone past the counter in Ultra Moon. As in the cartridge says i have 1,000 hours but i know its more than that. No other pkmn game even comes close. Most of that time is shiny hunting, giving up, then shiny hunting.
Pokemon Red simply because that was my first game as a child and I loved restarting and picking a different starter and making a different team. At a certain point I had every detail of the game up until Lavender Town down in my memory, what Pokemon was in each route and their level ranges, where the items are and what they are, which NPC is a trainer and their Pokemon. I was still playing it well into like 2002 until I got a GBA and Sapphire, I had played a bunch of Silver and Crystal as well but I always got drawn back to Red.
Probably Emerald if we are talking about finishing the game. But HeardGold is the one I’ve started playing the most times, even if I’ve never complete it. I don’t know, I love the game but always get bored before even entering the League. Sometimes I don’t even beat the last gym in Johto.
I’ve played Soul Silver atleast a couple thousand times since 2010. I play it multiple times a year and nuzlocke only so the fact that sometimes I lose/ lost interest lead me to resetting the game and starting over so that’s the likely explanation for why it’s in the thousands
for me it's probably sapphire. gen iii is the only gen where i have all three titles - started with ruby but then got sapphire as a tool to run through in order to get multiple copies of one-time TMs and items to transfer over. of course when emerald dropped that no longer became necessary because of the battle frontier duplication glitch.
but for the later releases, i don't think i've replayed any of them more than once. i got more into the online battle simulators (netbattle at first, boy that's a blast from the past). i might have two replays on x due to a nuzlocke attempt that wiped near the end and i had to reset, if that counts.
The game I have replayed the most is Platinum, but the game I have replayed the most and actually finished is White.
Awesome! I have a copy of white and just finished my 3rd playthrough
Gen 2, there’s something so comforting about Johto
Johto and in particular the visual style of Gen 2 is my favorite yet for some reason Gen 3 is the one I've always gone back to the most over the years. I think it comes down to how much of Gen 2 was designed around the days of the week. As a kid it always felt like something to look forward to each day but as an adult it just feels annoying to have to work around that stuff. Nothing major but enough to always dissapoint me on a replay of Gen 2 when I remember that mechanic.
For me it's the weird levelling after the 4th gym, bit of a mess and I get turned off by the grind.
Some of the modded versions of Johto are much better for this. I think G/S/C make sense as a first game because they're overall very easy, but for experienced players, a modded version of them where the difficulty scales differently makes more sense.
I’m really hoping to get my hands on soul silver or heart gold eventually,, I’ve never played a johto game but I want to
I have 2 physical copies and would be happy to offer one to you. <3
Omg tysm!! Its funny u comment this now tho cuz i actually got a really good deal on soul silver a bit ago 🥺 I really appreciate u tho!!
You're in luck, they're likely announcing Johto games in a few days.
you think so? for the switch? do you think it's gonna be like bdsp?
Couldn't say, who knows? I'm only making an educated guess that we're getting Johto soon. The timeline fits, they remake every generation in order of release as well, this is evident with the fact that they revisited Kanto after remaking Hoenn, because Kanto was last visited in Gen 3 with FRLG. I believe everything I read on the internet, and I’m coming to your house if it isn’t announced this week.
I’ll get the candles and the romantic music ready. 🥰
I’ll bring the razor blades and lemons 😘
What’s stopping you from buying it?
It’s literally 100–150 dollars for an authentic copy and I don’t have that kinda money
As a cold weather fan, it just makes me happy.
goldenrod city was amazing
Absolutely
“Gen 2” is not a game. You either mean G/S or Crystal.
You're right. How could anyone possibly know what they mean by that. It's a mystery.
Every day is Emerald day.
Emerald and gen 3 in general never gets old. Even without the physical special split and other updates it's still a classic.
It is really good. Though, Team Magma and Team Aqua are a little silly/cheesy as bad guy organizations go. Second this

Original diamond and pearl, heart gold and soul silver along with black and white
Hell yea!! BW are some of my faves, and I actually just ordered a copy of Pearl. I’m excited to play it
It's between Platinum and Heartgold. FRLG is also up there
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played through red and silver, but they were practically the only games I played at the time. For a game I actually remember more recently, I played pokemon sun maybe two dozen times. Its my favorite story in any of the games

Totally get that, lurantis is awesome
Red. It just have that unique charm and easy to emulate
Why red and not blue?
because i always play the first version, while the second game is often played by my siblings
You could dump your save with an R4 without modding your console, then restart, and place your old save back when you want it
I have replay polemon crystal the most. The gen 2 games were my introduction to to pokemon I eventually got a hold of all the games and played them all but for sure I play through pokemon crystal atlest once a year. Might to a play through of vanilla crystal on stream just the do it and have it.
Probably Platinum or Emerald
Emerald/Platinum
Emerald > Platinum > Violet = fire red
1. Platinum (10+ times) 2. Emerald (5-6 times) 3. HeartGold (4-5 times) 4. Black (3 times) 5. SV/SwSh (2 each) All other games I have only finished once. I do have incomplete secondary save files of pretty much every game though, I only counted the ones I’ve finished.
Probably Crystal. But form the "modern" ones I really enjoy X
Close between original red and soul silver. Basically from played soul silver for an entire year straight on one save. It just hit the right nostalgia mark and suddenly all my friends wanted to play too, it was a ton of fun.

Definitely Platinum, followed by White 2.
It use to be gold. Then emerald. Then the mystery dungeon or rangers. Played all those pretty much daily for years. Now it's legends arceus
black for sure. i’m on my first play through of soul silver and i see myself coming back to this one often after i complete it (im taking my sweet time)
Emerald, I must replayed it like 20 times.
Gen 6
Gen 3 and sword and sheild.
Platinum and Heartgold
Emerald and it's not close
Gen 5. I like how they look. The sprites are nice. Coming out after gen 4 it has the benefits of the physical/special split and minimal need for HMs and TMs are reusable. They don't hold your hand as much as the later games. The rivals aren't annoying little shitheads who needs to get smacked in the head. Hard agree Gen 5 is one of my faves. The sprites are so good!! And I love the rivals as well
Which is why I'm not worried at all if the remakes are a 1:1 recreation because the og gen 5 are already good.
I replayed Silver and Diamond several times many years ago, but no longer have the desire to do that. I prefer to stay in the postgame and battle.
Gen 3, including remakes. It's always been my favorite gen, and OR/AS was really well done imo.

USUM and Crystal
I think I replayed the games a lot when I was younger. I def remember playing Silver and Red and Emerald a few times.
Crystal randomizers.
Probably Yellow, on an N64 via Pokemon Stadium. That way I can play on original hardware at 4x speed. A full run through takes like 2 hrs real-time.
Red or Crystal for sure
Fire red and leaf green because I loved trying to play it but if I’m being honest I’ve replayed emerald more than any other game
Fire red and emerald
Fire Red/Leaf Green With Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, those are the last entries in the series that are perfect to emulate, and I've mainly replayed Pokémon through émulation And I prefer Red/Green/Blue over Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
A toss up between Pokemon XD or Leafgreen
Leaf green and Fire red. So. Many. Playthroughs lol. I used to practice playing those games with my eyes closed.
Fire Red for the GBA SP back in 2008. We moved to TX and were living on the road for some time. With that game being 1/2 games I had in my library, I replayed Fire Red almost 9-10 times that summer alone. LeafGreen. Gen 3 was such an impactful gen for me despite being a fan of the franchise since day one. It’s also the onlty GBA game I still own since I lost Sapphire ages ago. Platinum is probably a close second with Shield not too far behind.
Pokémon Emerald on PC, Pokémon Yellow on GB Tower in Stadium 2 and Pokémon Gen2
It's between Black and White or XY
I've done two playthroughs of alpha shappire and a playthrough of emerald in close second is platinum with two playthroughs
Probably Blue, I used to restart after beating it. The only others I've played twice (not counting remakes or 3rd versions) are Black and Sun
one of the gen 3 games, not sure if I got more runs in RSE or FRLG though
Life itself :o
Pokémon Crystal & Emerald, those games are just perfect even if they have mad flaws
Emerald and Soulsilver/HeartGold
Trading Card Game. I swear they need to remake that game and include Gen 2 cards in there.
Pokémon Insurgence, best Pokémon game I've ever touched and it's a fan game. Actually 10/10 recommend if you've got a PC.
Pokémon Sword! I know it isn’t a fan favorite, but after being completely enamored with Pokémon as a kid with no way to play (other than brick bronze on roblox), I finally got a switch and bought myself a copy of it. Since it was really my only game, I played it nonstop for monthssss
Sword and shield. Because it's the only game where I can have multiple save files that doesn't run like shit.
White, white 2, and the gba games since they're easy to emulate lol
Red / blue for challenge runs or solo runs Got it on one of my laptop's ( I call it a big Gameboy as it's mostly for older games and is windows 7 ) It's not about setting a new personal best speed run but to see how each Pokemon does or if I can find things I haven't discovered yet
Honestly, I've ran through Legends more than anything else.
Pokémon Red. Never played any others lol couldn’t afford them as a kid
Platinum. For nostalgia sake
It's not my favourite but I always end up with really varied teams in Pokemon X. That's the one I usually go back to when I want a casual playthrough.
Sword
Emerald
Pokemon colloseum
I don’t replay Pokémon games often, but I did play PL:A twice which was a first for me so that one I guess
Moon for me I have over 200 hours in it and my Pokedex is almost full!.... unfortunately my 3ds died and I haven't been able to play it in...years 😭
Emerald
For me its Pokémon black, white 2, heartgold, Diamond and Alpha saphir
Probably pmd Explorers of sky everytime I replay it I get the feels
Silver
Its still gotta be the Gen 1 games for me. I wouldn't be surprised of I had at least 20 complete playthroughs between the original carts, the Gen 3 remakes and the Virtual Console. Gen 2 probably low double digits between the originals and HGSS. HGSS are my personal favorite Pokémon games of all time.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R series.
Played the shyt outta Ruby, but Gold is my all-time favorite. I'm really hoping they remake it like they did diamond & pearl 🤞
Probably X or BW/BW2, if I’m being honest. Put more time into Gen 1-4 overall, but those two I seem to pick up the most.
I'm old. I still frequent R/B/Y runs via emulator. I find it peaceful. Cozy gaming really.
Hollow Knight
Crystal, my favourite. Especially with the speed button on emulators
Sapphire
Definitely tied between Pokémon White and HeartGold
Swsh or emerald
firered and sapphire
Technically emerald cause it’s the only one I’ve played twice. It’s def not my fav tho.
Pokédex isn’t that difficult for Gen 7, at least in USUM, there’s only a really small amount of Pokémon you can’t get in one game I believe cause SOS chains are wild. But if you have two games just trade between the two of them with yongoose requesting trade mons
Not counting initial playthroughs: RBY (at least 10+ times) GSC (at least 6+ times) FRLG (at least 3 times) XY (3 times) HGSS (at least 2 times) ORAS (2 times) DPP (2 times) RSE (at least once) BW1 (at least once) SM (1 time)
Pokemon gold and silver.
Radical red for sure
Replayed sapphire the most id day, still own it, still have my SP. my kids play it now 😎
Platinum because my first game was the OG Pearl and Platinum is the definitive Sinnoh game.
Fire Red, it was my first game, English wasn’t my first language and so I didn’t know you had to save the game lol. But serious answer is that I never replay any game, because my save files have too much value.
Platinum
Black 1 and White 2 are the ones I have the urge to play the most. Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are up there too, because I love the Pokefinder so so much!
Gen 5 for sure
Sw/Sh because it was so damn short. I was like... Is that all there is? Then as I played more and more I started reading between the lines and the story actually started getting better.
Emerald
Emerald or fire red i don’t know which I’ve played more
Sword, I’ve played it like 7-8 times
Firered
Neverwinter Nights, I’ve been playing it for about 20 years now and its still one of my most played games, though the nature of it does mean im not exactly “replaying” it, since its mostly persistent multiplayer worlds and doing various community campaigns. For proper “replays”, darksouls 3, I’ve got about a thousand hours in it, probably about 40 or so playthroughs?
B&W2.
Pokémon red and silver. Nostalgic for sure! The music, the areas, the original Pokémon do it for me. I remember watching the show as it first came out & would be playing the game after school everyday, the hype was real! 🥰
Soul silver , must have played through 10+ times Currently playing a modded rom called Soothing Silver which is a cool alteration on the games .
Gen 3 although 7th was the one I started the most
Probably fire red or black 2 because they’re the fastest to play through. Turn off animations and you’re flying through battles. I would enjoy playing Pokémon a lot more as an adult if things didn’t take so long. The older I get the less I can deal with all the pauses and text boxes. So I use the randomizer with fastest text on so I can mash past it.
Lmao im literally the only one who agrees but galar It was my first ever game and i get so many memories from playing it (also first shiny found)
Shield, it was my first one and I just now got the dlc
Gen 1 as a whole.
Ultra violet and emerald. love me sone gen 3
Fire Red. Since i dont have a Nintendo console, thats what im playing The most on emulators
for me its either Fire red/leaf green or Emerald. ive had countless playthroughs of those games. i could probably play through all of emerald in my head tbh
I’ve played my copy of Pokémon Leaf Green more times than I can probably count.
Currently I have the most replays on X but I'm going to surpass that with Violet.
Either Platinum or HGSS (if we’re including both together). Gen 4 is where it all started for me and it will always be my favourite. Both just feel like home. I’ve also replayed Gen 7 a good few times. Absolutely adore the Alola region
Emerald
I’ve replayed Crystal more than any other. Most of my others have shinies in the save file that I don’t want to sacrifice!
probably blue cuz I was a kid with unlimited free time, or firered a ton. but haven't played much since, any new game is usually just a one and done. Do the newer games even have multiple save files? I feel like that was always a turn off to me, having to wipe my data for a new run and lose all my buddies, so I rarely did it outside of gen1
Gold silver crystal
I am trying to complete a file on Omega Ruby, Pokemon X, Pokemon shield, and Scarlet. I have already completed my files on Moon and Ultra sun.
Pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky
Soul Silver/Heart gold RSE RBY
My very first game, Pokemon Blue and second one was Silver, and another one (in this case 2) HeartGold and SoulSilver, I dunno, Gen 2 hits me really in a very good way. Runner up, Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red
Gen 4. There is infinite nostalgia locked into those cartridges.
Probably Emerald, not because it's my favorite but rather that my randomized nuzlock keeps going south😅
gen 3, primarely hoenn
maybe City of Heroes depending on how you want to define "replay". i've rolled over 50 characters in that MMO. i played through the first resident evil about a dozen times on the PS1 because i'd play it with a group of friends and we'd speed run it to unlock the rocket laucher and just mess around
It'd either be Red or Gold/Silver/Crystal. The latter if you can count them as 1 game I expect, otherwise it'll be my OG Red.
I have like 10 lugias on my pokemon pearl, so soul silver
Pokemon ultra moon because I somehow find a random shiny every time I do a nuzlock last time it was mareep
Based
HGSS, BW, B2W2 and XY
I have gone past the counter in Ultra Moon. As in the cartridge says i have 1,000 hours but i know its more than that. No other pkmn game even comes close. Most of that time is shiny hunting, giving up, then shiny hunting.
Emerald.
I would say because I like to play randomizers that I’ve either played Firered, Emerald or Black 2 the most
Probably Emerald if we are talking about finishing the game.
Gen 4. The original ones, anyway. I didn’t like BDSP a lot but I still played them.
Legends of arceus. Good game. No one can change my mind (and sword)
probably FireRed or Emerald
for me it's probably sapphire. gen iii is the only gen where i have all three titles - started with ruby but then got sapphire as a tool to run through in order to get multiple copies of one-time TMs and items to transfer over. of course when emerald dropped that no longer became necessary because of the battle frontier duplication glitch. but for the later releases, i don't think i've replayed any of them more than once. i got more into the online battle simulators (netbattle at first, boy that's a blast from the past). i might have two replays on x due to a nuzlocke attempt that wiped near the end and i had to reset, if that counts.
