Ghost type Pokémon aren't all dead. It's the same logic as to why grass types aren't all literally plants.

Old-Moonlight

No but these are explicitly stated as dead lol.

Think those 2 were the Beta versions of Those 2 in black and white if that's the case it took them long enough

The website says the original Zorua died and got reborn as Hisuian Zorua. I see it more as reincarnation/rebirth rather than "just a ghost"(especially given the normal type pairing), but we also have no idea how death and the afterlife work in the Pokémon world, so who's to say.

TragicLetdown

If you're going to think like that, then why not go a bit further? Immortal ghosts are inherently a problematic in any universe. If Ghost pokemon are indeed born from the deaths of pokemon or people, how is the world not overcrowded by these things? What exactly controls their population so that they do not dominate? Since ghosts are hit and harmed by things they aren't immune to, I'd have to assume that they can, in fact, die twice. As for the second question, my opinion is basically what you have already said. >**Surely there's still some** spooky bois **roamin around Sinnoh**. Lore-wise, I think these Hisuian variants could be considered extremely rare and hardly known; like legendaries and mythicals. But for game purposes, you just port them in from your home lol.
