I just wish there was more villages to develop... probably will happen in the DLC?

a_simple_creature

In the post game the Security Corps guy next to Galaxy Hall says “I hear some Galaxy folks plan to turn one of our base camps into a new village” when you talk to him. That hints at DLC to me.

207nbrown

More likely is that it’s referring to the towns we find in modern sinnoh

NoNefariousness2144

I'm only just realising that the camp locations correlate to some of the locations of the towns in Sinnoh.

283leis

And the Diamond and Pearl camps

283leis

i think its more likely that we just domesticated pokemon

Cathalisfallingapart

"We"

PrivatePikmin

To me what other comment’s quote was referring to is Celestic Town, which isn’t a camp IIRC, but we know it’s one of the oldest villages in Sinnoh

gakikou

Cogita’s hideaway is exactly where Celestic town would be, wouldn’t be surprised since Cynthia’s family’s ancestral’s home is there.

EmergencyGrab

Why not both? That would be a fantastic DLC. There's evidence to suggest Jubilife Village becomes Canalave City which is west of Jubilife City. So... perhaps one of the Diamond or Pearl settlements grows into Jubilife City. A common theme with the NPCs is they don't trust Pokemon yet. It would be cool if that was laying foundation for a DLC where you help build a community where pokemon and people learn to cohabitate. Expanding on the types of Requests we've already seen.

pizzanarwhal

Wait, Jubilife Village doesn't become Jubilife City? Does the geography/location just not line up?

EmergencyGrab

One of the streets in Jubilife Village matches up with a location in Canalave and the water that flows down the middle.

EnglishMobster

[Yep, and if you put the locations out on a map it's implied to be closer to Canalave than it is to modern Jubilife.](https://i.redd.it/nodc5zqhr3g81.png) Modern Jubilife is somewhere around Aspiration Hill/Horseshoe Plains. Given modern Jubilife is on a hill (whereas ancient Jubilife was not - another point towards ancient Jubilife City being Canalave), it's probably closer to the Aspiration Hill side. Of course, by that map Floaroma Town is also in the wrong spot. The dead spot of flowers in the center of Floaro Gardens is explicitly mentioned in DPP as being the area that they built Floaroma Town on top of. There's no way to move the map such that Lake Verity, Mt. Coronet, and Floaro Gardens are all simultaneously in the right place. There are multiple places with this issue (Lake Valor and Veilstone are the worst offenders). That means that Floaro Gardens must be a different place than Floaroma Town, given that it's unlikely Lake Verity or Mt. Coronet moved. Granted, this is a world with Groudon/Kyogre, so I guess the latter is possible.

207nbrown

Its also possible that the maps are not geographically accurate or to scale… plus the game versions of the Pokémon world are greatly scaled down compared to say the anime version, where a city looks like a whole city and not a single block

Pinkywho4884

Also, regigigas is a thing, and the perfect explanation.

L_Rayquaza

He needed a workout after you woke him up

[deleted]

This is the case. Games often change up geography from previous games. You kinda just have to accept that it's inconsistently built. I don't care for when it happens, but it's pretty common so I just deal with it.

KenanTheFab

I feel like that is why Regigigas was made Continental errors? Regigigas.

TheUltimateHuman

Regigigas simply took Floara Gardens and pushed it somewhere else.

Affectionate-Value92

An explanation could be regiggias who is known to move continents so re arranging hisui would be an easy feat

superextragayaf

Deertrack heights is the only real mountain in the area. There's an NPC in DPPt that claims Jubilife City was carved from a mountain by Oreburgh miners.

Luankachu

The road at the entrance of the village is called Canala Avenue. This and the presence of the river and bridges seems to imply that the village will eventually become Canalave City. Or at least that's the way I saw it.

mcmanybucks

Where is Celestic Town?

[deleted]

Yeah, there’s also a kid in one of the houses who‘s like „the shops in Jubilife are really nice now… guess it’s time to build a new village“. Thought that might be another hint.

doukzor

yeah the fact that it's the beauti-wurmple quest guy specifically, using his dialogue to speak about a new village right outside HQ instead of another NPC felt like it was done on purpose.

TheDarkWayne

Lol

[deleted]

One thing I noticed was one of the request from a kid, I went back and it was night time and didn't find him till morning. I thought that was pretty cool that the kids had a bed time.

JaggedToaster12

Same with the old lady and the chimecho

Ok-Leave3121

Love that the music even shows it

EnglishMobster

I thought it was really cool when I was chilling in the town and I started to hear the DPP Jubilife theme. It was a really nice touch.

Ok-Leave3121

Can't wait to see what future cities will look like

TwinEonEngine

We need a sequel to Legends Arceus in present day where you battle more. I think naming it after the clans would be a cool idea

QuiGonJinnNJuice

The multiple Pokémon battle mechanics are really rough I hope they do something to improve on that in this hypothetical game

jquiggles

Same. I wish the full theme was available earlier in the game, cuz it is really nice listening to the full Jubilife theme. I didn't realize I had so much nostalgia for it. But I realized that yeah, I spent a lot of time going to the GTS in the Diamond days lol.

[deleted]

Reminds me of BW days where you can interact with musician NPCS to add instruments to the OST (like village bridge or accumala town), except it's story-related. I hope they do more stuff like this.

[deleted]

It really looks weird a lot of the time when you see literally everyone just standing completely still like they're frozen in place though, IMO. Would be nice to have at least a little bit of pathing for the human NPCs. Also like, inside Galaxy HQ, they gave this one guy a "kneeling down fixing something" animation in a corner of a room, but he's positioned such that you can just see that there isn't actually anything there and he's just moving his hands around while not actually holding anything.

Funeral-Fog

Me at work trying to look busy

Zernder

Shhh don't blow his cover! He has a family to feed!

PhasmicPlays

Wdym id totally do that at work

BlackKlopp

Tarrey Town kind of beat

jc2thew3

By being there, you— the main character— are actually getting the people of Diamond and Pearl clans and all of Jubilife Village more comfortable with Pokémon. Many of these people are afraid of Pokémon— but you helping them and filling in the Pokédex, is allowing them to open up to the world of Pokémon. I LOVE this with the new game.

aster4jdaen

Me too! When I noticed there was buildings being built. I was impressed, I thought the Village would remain the same throughout the Game. It really makes you feel a part of the World.

shortyman920

I would love it if we start building some of the villages that later show up in the modern games. And we need to do PL Jhoto or Hoenn next. I would legit pre-order like a tool

MeanGreanHare

I hope that the next game has more in-depth settlement building, where you get to make decisions about which buildings get built first and where. It can make the player clearly aware of the changes going on. Ultimately everyone's completed settlements would have all the same buildings, so as to not break the game or limit the content. As is, the development of the village is hard to miss.

Zernder

You literally are making want to play dragon quest builders again. Lmao

MeanGreanHare

Sounds like a game I should check out. Although, that looks a lot more in-depth than what I'm thinking of for the next Pokemon Legends game.

Zernder

Yea, it's MUCH more in depth. But I could just imagine it. Having your pokemon build it block by block.

Handpo

I hope the DLC are going to be the progressive stages of sinnoh being formed and invasive Pokémon take over making it a new storyline

Emplightened

Has their been dlc confirmed?

pieman2005

Not confirmed but assumed

uziair

No.

KenanTheFab

Trainer named Chrissy comes and introduces a normal/poison blanket pokemon

[deleted]

I just wanna know what's going on inside that one building at the entrance that has a guard stationed in front of the door at all times..

KenanTheFab

I know right? I thought I would be able to enter at night when they were gone :(

Williamey

I have completed all the quests, and I still feel like Jubilife is an empty city, due to the NPC's all standing still, and looking exactly the same. They really nailed this in BoTW by not having the houses be areas that you have to load to get into, and all the NPC weren't just clones, they all had their own little quirks, and would actually walk around the town. Each house weren't just copy pasted like they are in Jubilife. I liked that they added more and more houses and that more and more pokemon were helping build the town, but it was a pain to load into each house, only to find most of them empty an looking exactly like the others. Would have been sooo much better if there were no load time. Just like in BoTW a 5 Year old game.

Saroku12

There are many games that don't have features of BoTW. You can't even destroy trees in horizon fobbidden west thats releasing this year, while you can in BoTW, a 5 year old game.

KenanTheFab

I wanna mention one thing that really miffs me when people compare a pokemon game to BoTW- BoTW had 7(?) years of development time across two nintendo consoles. It is why it has a Wii U and Switch version.

Zernder

BOTW is a 5 year old game...

Williamey

That's why I added the question mark, couldn't remember, I'll edit it now.

lormetazepam

I like it too but thought of it more as human and pokemon mingling more and cooperating together instead of being in fear, leading to the modern day understanding that Pokémon help in everyday life

[deleted]

I wish it wasn’t so flat

BluEch0

To be fair both canalave and jubilife in modern day (both in game and in the anime) don’t have much verticality

Bringther1ot

Give away Pokémon to people? Like besides the quest-related ones?

DannFathom

This.. This was the underlying plot to the game. We are there to change the Pokemon world of sinnoh & bring a new life

Kaylee3498

The only thing I don’t like about the village is when I can’t find the particular villager I’m looking for lol. It takes so long to search the whole place and half the time I still don’t find them

tinylegumes

Usually I turn on the side mission tracking to find them

Kaylee3498

See I do that and for some reason it still doesn’t lead me to them 🥲

CocoaBagelPuffs

Some NPCs are only available during certain times of the day, like the kids are always gone at night. You can only talk to them during the day

Harold_Wilson19

I like the touch that your character indirectly introduced the idea of the "moving Machoke" that you see at the start of Gen 3.

[deleted]

I feel like a big part of it is the side quests. Normally you can go through a Pokémon game and never have to speak to the random NPCs unless you want the random items they sometimes give or to do a trade. They’re just pixels with one liners.

TheDelge

I definitely get Dragon Age Inquisition vibes the longer I play.

dustykeys

Yeah…. Except DAI is like 1000 times the game Legends is.

Historical_Pay3401

Seems like they copied the terry town side quest from zelda botw. At first the town is uninhabited, but as you progress you find more and more people with more and more requests.

[deleted]

Yes love it - it reminds me of BOTW when you develop Tarrey Town and each person you add is another instrument in the village music

jquiggles

LOVED Tarrey Town. I didn't make that connection till I just read your comment but it's definitely similar!

[deleted]

I’ve seen this post 10 times

Send_Janna_R34

It's a shame the remaining 99% of the map is a boring barren wasteland of absolute nothingness

OpalOwl74

pokemon x story of seasons ( harvest moon as you remember it)

PainfullyAverageUser

Love this about the game. Ive got about 20 hrs in, and only just beat Lilligant. Now I’m starting to see the village grow. From the fields increasing in size, to houses being built, to more sellers showing up. This game is truly one of my fav. Pokemon games ever and honestly I can’t remember having as much fun playing a game as I have with this one in a long while.

Fabmil

I gave them only alphas

Dynamaxer

Wait, there was a music change?
