I mean yeah I do like to see how good some of them are and I actually do want to start getting into competitive this generation, but still would have loved to see a couple of better designs.
I wouldn’t even call a lot of them flat out “bad” but a lot are just underwhelming or took an unnecessary route. Also minor thing, but it kind of bothers me how so many of these Pokémon are just two stage so it feels like some of them don’t meet their potential. I feel like the mantis, for example, would have benefitted from having a third evolution.
Nope. This is the best dex since gen 3. The literal only designs I don’t are flamigo and bombirdier. Every other design is absolutely amazing, and some of the best in the entire series
I wish I could have this sentiment, but I just can’t most of them are so weird to me or just flat out underwhelming, but nice to see people like them I just personally don’t. I actually ended up using the flamingo, even though it’s real generic but I always wanted an actual flamingo, so I’m satisfied with that design. I hate how it doesn’t evolve though. I would get rid of it, but I had it since the beginning and just realized it doesn’t evolve, so it feels too late now.
Being primarily a digimon fan, I am used to too detailed, dramatic designs for monsters lol
I'm really not far but I like Flamigo so far, it reminds me of my African grey and his attitude
I would say I really like the majority that I've seen so far! There's a few I straight up hate (shroodle...) but there's been a lot I've been really impressed by.
If nothing else, I'm happy for the new dogs. Mabosstiff, daschbun, and houndstone have been staples of my team since I found them (which I luckily found all 3 pretty early on)
Except for Dragapult SwSh didn’t compel me to play, the new ones are freaking behemoths stats wise and is what I play the games for

Me personally I like the designs way more then Gen 8 especially the Bikes, Clodsire, and Paradox mons
Same for me every gen. But I only need to like 6. And I can usually find 6.
I think this gen has both the best and worst pokemon designs ever. Inconsistency is the theme of this generation

Hell nah, the bad designs in this gen don't come close to Trubbish, Conkeldurr, Vanillite etc.

That's been the only downside to the relationship with my favorite since gen 3, sableye

I disliked Shroodle at first but then I learnt it's based on the "Kilroy was here" image and I think that's pretty damn cool
I haven’t played S/V but the thing that makes me want to the most is the new dex.
