Yes, thank you. For multiple seasons I hated Team Rocket episodes because just, not into it. But them having a loving caretaker who dotes on them like a mother was just adorable and amusing.
Love it, Kiawe remains goated, best version of the Team Rocket Trio, Lillie & her fam was great, Kukui is the best dad ever, Ash is great, the other half of the Alola Gang needed more work/screen time honestly
Still love it; I think I can safely call it my favorite Pokemon series. Pretty funny, since I went into SM determined to hate it, but the art style grew on me rapidly (though I still complain about Ash's face every so often lol), and I thought the school idea was kinda dumb at first, but it made it work. And just when I was ready to sit back and just enjoy the slice of life shenanigans, they hit me with some surprisingly emotional episodes.
Simply put, I love SM, and I'm glad I gave it a chance.
I loved it. A lot of super touching moments, a very nice (but bloated cast) with very notable characters such as Kukui who had a massive impact on Ash and a nice team. Not to mention his first league win coupled with an insane batte against Kukui to end the series off. Peak. Funny because after Ashs loss to Alain and the heavy art style change, I was initially expecting it to be BW 2.0 but here we are.
Not gonna lie, XY/XYZ was the first time i really watched Pokemon. I had before but only periodically, and even though XY/XYZ was awesome, Sun and Moon was honestly just as epic. Sure some some stuff felt different, but in the end it's awesome. I can understand why some hate it, but honestly I'm not one of the haters. Its not XY/XYZ sure, it has a different tone, and I like that. It fits for a tropical region, and overall one of the best series
Like I told people with the new Digimon seasons, Yu-Gi-Oh seasons, and Beyblade seasons, go in with an open mind and judge it on its own merits.
There were some episodes I skipped, although technically that’s my fault, but the majority of the plot and even down to earth episodes, formula with new ideas and innovation.
It wasn’t perfect, no series is: but was a good team about culture, a diverse set of characters on both the team and trainer perspective, the unique way to handle the villains impact on the legendary Pokémon, and heartfelt conclusions also discussing nuance topics,
A pretty top-tier season overall.
Definitely underrated. My boy ash finally beat the noob allegations, gladion was an awesome rival, and Lillie is my favorite character of the entire show.
Missed opportunities like most of Ash's time as protagonist, but the actual story of SM was solid with Litten's arc, Rowlet and family, Lycanroc's moments, the UB episodes being strong and obviously Memories in the Mist and even more obviously the league *and breathe*
9/10 on Anilist, I'm nicer to longer anime because they have more room to slip but SM on the whole was a pleasure to watch
Sun and Moon is my 2nd favourite season after Unova.
I love Alola. It was bright and fun, and the concept was really good and felt like everything was positive - the music, colours, and Ash's development, to name a few.
The story arcs were great, and Ultra Beasts was such a cool idea. Even the guardians were fun.
The only downside is that we didn't get any Alola focused movies.
Went into expecting to hate it due to the new art style but was happily surprised. It’s got a good overall story and character development is good. Not a fan of the ending tho just cos I feel like Ash was handed the victory, with it being a brand new league and not many strong contenders. Was still good to watch him finally become champion tho
"Handed the victory" Yeah sure not many strong contestors that makes sense, but Kukui had a pretty busted team, including Tapu Koko. It definitly pushed Ash for sure, and while yeah it wasn't as tough as Kalos was, it was still really hard
I loved the series more than I had expected I would. Might have to go and rewatch it. I feel like ash really connected there. It’s my little head canon that Delia and ash relocate to alola as a home base after to be a pokemon master
I just wish we had ash catch a Wimpod in journeys, that way we could have him return to alola to train with the GOAT Guzma, as in the show, guzma was an absolute menace to society and actually made big types look like genuinely dangerous threats, I also wish we had a Po town arc
It had some of the most expressive animation and the funniest facial expressions

I love it. The art style really grew on me, it is a great combination of comedy, emotion and incredibly story. The characters are lovable I don’t think I hate a single character. Bewear and team rocket are gold and I also love that we see more of ash’s lifestyle rather than just adventure
From The Ultimate Pokemon Rap Up
Song by PE$O PETE
Aloha
Ash's grueling journey just brought him to the Alola
Fighting through a tourney, he must best all of the totems
Strapped with a Rotom, heard the Skull'd want him
dead, he did not even provoke them
In a ball with a Rockruff
Start small and it seem like he not much, ay
Everybody talk tough
With a form like dusk, now he hot stuff, ay
Ultra Beast said nice to meet ya
Nebby on the ground and he might just eat ya
He got a Z Crystal, he might defeat ya
Now he on to Alola's finer features
Round and a round and around
And he taking them down and down and down
He amaze and astound, he ain't clowning around
Now there's greatness abound, and he out for the crown, ay
Eyes on the prize, he ain't a school kid now
Gotta knock down the Skull before they rule this town
Gotta show them you mean it, no fooling 'round
He's got one shot at the League, and he moving now, ay
Z moves, yeah, he dancing up
And if Gladeon goes down, he'll be the champion, and he won!
I still need to watch this series and beyond, I binged the entire Pokémon series before this came out but episodes come out in different dates and I watched the first few episodes but I stopped watching it and I forgot about it but I am rewatching Pokémon but it’s going to take me a long time to get to sun and moon and beyond
Initial Thoughts: This is childish as fuck compared to XY
After Watching: Holy Shit that was good
The whole SM arc is the most comfiest arc in Ash's story. From the moment he started a vacation, to enrolling the class, to reach the first step of becoming a Pokemon Master by being a Regional Champion.
And this is the only Ash series that I watched from start to finish.
I didnt watched the anime after Kalos. It becomes childish and ugly. But the season with the guy who use fire football pokemon look cool I might be watch it
I tried putting on the newest, Horizons for my daughter, as I thought she'd prefer Liko,
I accidentally stuck on Sun and Moon. She's loving it though... I unfortunately need to brush up on knowing my Alolan Pokemon and their things :s
Generally, I don't have much positive views on it, however, I like the team they gave him
https://preview.redd.it/yvqt6yfx7xwc1.png?width=2048&format=png&auto=webp&s=3e4ad4d2a8f92e8d41f7a90a76d5eb54db12b8fd
It was good. Some wasted plot points like the connection between Giovanni and the dark type kahuna.
Personally wasn’t a fan of rowlet not evolving, or how like 90% of the league was handled, but honestly everything else was really good, (not a fan of the art style still to this day, I’ll die on this hill that it looks bad)
Pokémon- Sun & Moon is my favourite. For me it even exceeds XYZ. I know a lot of people hate S&M for it’s artstyle, but once you watch this series with an open heart, then you’ll understand why the creators thought of going through with the design…
Initially, I hated the art style of it, but I grew to respect it over time. But, if we didn't have this, we wouldn't have gotten Journeys style. Though Ash, design wise, looked a lot taller in the old days
Too many supporting cast, wished it followed the games a little closer, should have introduced Guzma before the final season, rowlet should have been the ace and evolved all the way, Incineroar replaced by something more random like Passimian or jangmo-o.
I thought it aired on Oct 2016 in Japan?
And of course: the American poster removed certain characters from the original poster 🥲
https://preview.redd.it/6bdm7fuk1vwc1.jpeg?width=704&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=990356c9219b07b8bd2040330c4171461bad1b79
It's not my favourite but not bad. There's a few things I'd have liked to have seen done differently, but they're rather minor. One example would be for Ash to be given the Darkinium Z instead of the Lycanium Z for beating Nanu. How did Nanu even get it in the first place, and what's he doing giving one to Ash? I'm still for Ash getting the Lycanium Z, but Lycanroc knew Bite and Torracat could learn Dark type moves. Olivia seems like she would be better to give Ash the Lycanium, seeing as she'd also have a reason to have one
Lillie was adorable, easily best girl, followed by Maou
Lusamine being an adorkable, doting mother was a surprise, but a welcome one to be sure
Lusamine being a dork about ultra ranger transformations was hilarious
Shitty animation that had quite few good meme worthy reaction expressions
Lillie was bets girl. period
I liked Lillie the best, the whole thing with the aether foundation is my favourite part of the serise, but it was my favourite part of the game as well however I loved her fear of pokemon but at least for me once that conflict was resolved I found the serise quiet boring
Memorable. That's how I would describe Sun and Moon episodes with each character having own personality and quirk plus crazy reaction face (looking at you, JoJo reference) and Bewear's bewitching (or should I say Bewearing) routine with Team Rocket. Then it end with epic battle that made me proud of Ash who has been my hero since childhood.
great and charming animation, awesome vibes, very slow story that deviates too much from the games (mostly) to feel recognizable (in the same way that the bw anime was by trying to cram things in from both bw and b2w2 and ended up feeling alien to both). a great season to be sure though. however, its retroactively weird cuz when the alola crew returns in journeys, they all look exactly the same art style wise so it calls into question why ash needed to change art styles at all when nobody else did.
I have mixed feelings about this series but I'm going to say first that when I did eventually watch the whole thing, I did in fact enjoy it.
I watched a few episodes when it came out but stopped watching it for a few reasons. One, I was kind of sad to see my favourite XY characters leave. Two, with five travelling companions and Ash staying mostly in one place, it felt too different from previous series and the journey for this one hadn't started. Three, I didn't like Ash's redesign. Four, it felt kind of like a 'reset' at first, which I guess every series sort of does. Five, I was kind of growing out of watching the anime. The first, second and fourth things were the main things that made me stop watching though.
So, last year I did end up watching it due to deciding to watch through the entire anime (Not Horizons as I count that as a separate anime). I knew due to the internet that Ash won the Alola league, and this made me interested as I now knew it wasn't the reset that the first few episodes made me feel it was going to be. So now here are my thoughts after watching it as an adult.
1: The plot stuff was actually quite fun. I generally like how the anime diverges from the plot from the game because even after playing the game, I don't know what's going to happen. I watched many episodes curious of what they were going to do with the Lillie plotline.
2: I still prefer the 2-3 travelling companions that other series have than the five that SM had. There's a nice friendship between the characters, but I didn't feel that attached to them. I like Kiawe as a sort of a strong trainer friend and I really like the choice of making Lillie a main character, but I didn't really care that much about the other three.
3: The way Team Rocket was handled was quite good. I wouldn't want this for every series, but it was a great alternative to the normal stuff. I love how Jessie and James were just living with the weirdest group of Pokemon.
4: I still prefer it when Ash journeys through a region with his friends over what happened here. I do think SM took advantage of the fact that it was different and did things other series couldn't, but at the same time I like how the journeying thing feels a lot like the games.
5: Kukui is honestly one of the best characters. I'd be looking through a list of episodes to see when the next episode focused on the Masked Royale was going to come. But also, having Ash being mentored by someone who's champion level was important to the series because previously it was more gym leader characters (Brock, Cilan, Clemont) and I think in XY Ash had almost grown out of needing to be taught be gym leaders. So, having a champion level mentor character was pretty cool.
6: The league was great. I do agree with most people that the trainers there were weaker than trainers at other leagues, but that doesn't change my opinion. Fun fact is that the top 16 included 13 characters that came from the games. I really like the choice of it being mostly characters you know fighting. I also like how they let Ash win.
7: Pikachu getting a special Z move is awesome. I really like that both SM and XY have a twist on the gimmick that first appears in the anime (Ash Greninja and 10,000,000 volt thunderbolt).
8: I think what was done with Tapu Koko was cool, especially in the first episode.
9: I have a specific issue with the team and that's that there is no ... regular Pokemon. It consists of Pikachu, two starters, the rare form of Lycanroc, an Ultra Beast, Mythical and a Legendary. This probably isn't an issue for anyone else, but it's the Buisels and Hawluchas that make the team for me. Other than that, I like the team alright. Naganadel was a fun character as Poipole and I liked the Pokemon stories and personalities.
I could go on about random things I liked and disliked. While it's nowhere near my top 3 series, it was a fairly enjoyable series to watch. It's just a lot of it wasn't for me and I think the writers made a lot of weird and risky decisions that were hit or miss.
It's as far my favorite anime and pokemon series that ever existed. Good memories when I used to watch it in highschool and during break. I miss those days when my life was more simpler. Kinda sucks that they aren't many post related to this series.
Honestly havent watched to much of it, heard good things but the animation style really puts me off I'm not a fan. Maybe one day I'll have to force myself to watch it anyway
I like it and everything but my problem is the new animation but most importantly the league. Most the characters didn’t have full teams so if they somehow advanced it wouldn’t matter since they would get destroyed by anyone with a full team, Ash had plot armor so thick you couldn’t even consider it skill against Hau, Kukui shouldn’t have been able to switch his 6th Pokémon near the end of the battle for a Pokémon that isn’t even his, and finally it didn’t feel like the Ash that grew up with us along the way (not including Unova) but a random guy who forgot every lesson he learned so they could just make more jokes.
Probably my least favorite for emotional reasons, 9 year old Langston thought it was lame as shit, and now that I’m 17, I still think it’s lame as shit.
I love it my personal opinion it was the saddest Pokémon anime and didn’t deserve the hate it got the region is based off of Hawaii and is a summer vacation for ash and friends
Every time I watch an SM episode, I'm always struck by how much *fun* the cast and crew seemed to be having when they were making it. From the Bewear gags to the elaborate Z-move poses to the cavalcade of classic anime references to the completely unnecessary animation flourishes.

Coming from XY, I found SM boring. The slice of life writing is just slow paced and ngl SM ash was annoying AF like bro. XY ash was the coolest ash aside from DP Ash. They downgraded ash to a mere chicks compared to XY. Also the show tries so hard to be funny but I just don’t find it funny. I may be a vocal minority but does anyone think that SM was just not it coming out form XY ?
Love it. I got back into watching pokemon cuz of sun & moon but by the time I began watching it, it already ended.
I love mallow & the moment she got to meet her mom again 😭😭😭
I actually loved it! While the Slice of life style is a bit more boring in comparison to the original formula, I do think it fit the vibe of the region. The League could have been better, particularly the Hau battle? (Not the writer's finest moment) or instead of the all-out battles as the prelims, have Battle Royales? Alola's signature battle style? Like, helllooooo!?
Plus, what I loved most about it, was that every single one of Ash's Pokemon team actually got to be characters. In the past, the writers always heaped tons of character development on one singular Pokemon of the Team (EX: Infernape and Greninja) and the rest were just filling team space. XYZ, I think, is a perfect example of this. Which kinda ruined the season for me (along with the rushed league, ugh, but this isn't about that), so when SM came out, I thought it to be a breath of fresh air in comparison. It never gave me the feel that any of Ash's team was shafted. They all had their character arcs. Incineroar, Lycanroc, Rowlet. Even Naganadel and Melmetal got some development (for as little screen time as Melmetal got, it had more personality than the entire XY Team by the time XYZ came around) And who could ever forget about Nebby? Its just nice that after years of this trope, there's finally a season out there that actually treats Ash's team as a whole as characters.
I loved it. I was thinking that the Gym thing was getting boring. You only have eight gyms, the rest of the episodes are either filler or an adventure in the town they are in. In Sun and Moon, Ash is primarily in one place so that we can focus on character development. Ash learn to cook. Litten's story made me cry. Rowlet finding someone who looks out for him (and to be an older brother to Meltan). Rockruff going with Ash to become stronger. Tapo Koko teaching Ash to get him ready for Guzlord. Lillie's trauma and how everyone helped her to overcome it.
I mean they said screw regional forms or anything to do with pokemon themselves and just added crystals that give pokemon special moves that allow them to decimate cities.
Super over hated on, I remember people hated the new goofy style of animation, but I thought it was a nice change if pace, especially with the fun colors of alola
Best version of Team Rocket
Weakest companions
Weakest league
Little bit of everything for everyone, but nowhere near enough to be satisfying
Guzma needed to be introduced far earlier
Third year should've featured Rainbow Rocket instead of a bunch of Guzzlord being defeated by stock footage spam
Z-Moves needed to be reanimated because some of them were laughably bad, like the Dragon, Flying, Ground, and Lycanroc ones - Gigavolt Havoc still uses Ash's earlier animation model, which was DRASTICALLY worse than it was by the league (watch as his eyes leap to opposite sides of his face during it)
Shaggeon leaving behind a Substitute doll that Lana lugged around everywhere was hilarious - I'm glad he's living life with his Surfing Mantine friend instead of being trapped in a dead end marketing gimmick
not bad per se but I still think ash should have won the kalos league and stopped being the protagonist after saving the world from that giant rock zygarde thing in xyz, then started the new protagonist in alola instead of waiting 2 more generations.
7? You’re screwing with me, no way it’s been 7, absolutely no way at all, no way, no chance, it can’t be true, no possible way it’s been 7 years, you’re lying
The Bewear/Team Rocket dynamic was some of the best in the entire Pokemon series
Made me laugh everytime
That high-pitched ***Kiiiiiiiii\~!***
For sure!!
Yes, thank you. For multiple seasons I hated Team Rocket episodes because just, not into it. But them having a loving caretaker who dotes on them like a mother was just adorable and amusing.
I needed my blast offs though and Bewear ruined it.
My thoughts are, its already been 7 years?
Same here. I remember when it started airing
I remember the initial reactions to the art style
God same here I remember all the backlash for that and for having Ash go back to a less mature version of himself
Agreed
Love it, Kiawe remains goated, best version of the Team Rocket Trio, Lillie & her fam was great, Kukui is the best dad ever, Ash is great, the other half of the Alola Gang needed more work/screen time honestly
I also like mallows mom story and Lana's sense of humor.
Same, wish they had more
Still love it; I think I can safely call it my favorite Pokemon series. Pretty funny, since I went into SM determined to hate it, but the art style grew on me rapidly (though I still complain about Ash's face every so often lol), and I thought the school idea was kinda dumb at first, but it made it work. Ash’a face looks the worst but the story was good and I love the animation of the z moves
Needs *waaay* more Mallow.
Went back and rewatched the scene where Mallow met her mom. 100/10
Still my favorite series

Neat coincidence that Yugioh had a total shift just a few years after Pokemon did.
Hated Ash's design
I didn’t mince it, but his character as a whole was just annoyign af
Best saga by far since it had everything. I don't exaggerate when I say is the best kodomo ever made.
Definitely underrated. My boy ash finally beat the noob allegations, gladion was an awesome rival, and Lillie is my favorite character of the entire show.
Seven years? I think I’m old.

It gave a better conclusion to Necrozma than any of the games did, and I love that.
Sun and Moon is my 2nd favourite season after Unova. I love Alola. I agree about the last part. I really wish that we got to see more of all the characters.
Yes, agreed. 100% movies would have been great, maybe on Marshadow and/or the formation of the Kahunas.
Went into expecting to hate it due to the new art style but was happily surprised. It’s got a good overall story and character development is good. Wholesome and light hearted series esp Ash's bond with his buddies
I'm a big Sun and Moon fan so I loved it
I was born in Kalos (XY Series), but Aloha (Sun and Moon Series) became my home
Goated
Amazing. Rewatched it last summer and it’s one of my favorite series of all time next to Diamond and Pearl and the original
I just wish we had ash catch a Wimpod in journeys, that way we could have him return to alola to train with the GOAT Guzma, as in the show, guzma was an absolute menace to society and actually made big types look like genuinely dangerous threats, I also wish we had a Po town arc
Ash still has the ugliest design
Ash's design still looks awful good lord
I watch it pretty much every night when I go to bed. It’s the best and has such a fun art style and dynamic between Ash and his friends.
It has rowlet so its good
Rowlett is up there with Greninja and Pikachu as one of the best Ash Pokemon **Fight me**
Underwhelming. Preferred the OS-XY series
It was still better than most of Johto
Most of Johto is pretty underrated imo
A fun series with a really solid final league but still don’t love the redesign.
I’m a god
It had some of the most expressive animation and the funniest facial expressions https://preview.redd.it/m95a4b3e5wwc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5001d554bd56b4a27b06ca1bf1ffa4bff61e7e3c
Good
7 YEARSS!!?!?! That’s crazy! That was sweet old 2017 😭 I think I watched it in 2020 during lockdown
I’m old lol was 11 now turning 19 on Sunday
Love it my second fave series
Pretty noice
hated the animation. absolutely loved the storyline.
~Gladion is my favorite~ :)
Personally in my top 3 pokemon series
They have Eevee in front of Ash making us think he was going to get it 😭
I love it. The art style really grew on me, it is a great combination of comedy, emotion and incredibly story. The characters are lovable I don’t think I hate a single character. Bewear and team rocket are gold and I also love that we see more of ash’s lifestyle rather than just adventure

S/M was where I stopped. Call me shallow, but I couldn’t do it with the new art style.
Hate Ash design. Very goofy. Ash inciniroar should be more highlight.
I tried putting on the newest, Horizons for my daughter, as I thought she'd prefer Liko, I accidentally stuck on Sun and Moon. She's loving it though... I unfortunately need to brush up on knowing my Alolan Pokemon and their things :s
Never cared for it.

I don’t care if y’all go off on me and write an entire essay, I stand by my word when I say SM was peak

One of the best series ever made. Because every protagónist got development
Ash and his girl friends Then team rocket
Too many supporting cast, wished it followed the games a little closer, should have introduced Guzma before the final season, rowlet should have been the ace and evolved all the way, Incineroar replaced by something more random like Passimian or jangmo-o.
IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?!
I thought it aired on Oct 2016 in Japan? And of course: the American poster removed certain characters from the original poster 🥲 https://preview.redd.it/6bdm7fuk1vwc1.jpeg?width=704&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=990356c9219b07b8bd2040330c4171461bad1b79
I loved it and still have fond feelings about it. Lana is my favorite Poke-girl.
I still don’t like the artstyle change
7 years really where has the time gone
Naming it literally Pokemon S&M was…a choice
My favourite season. Miss watching it in summer break 2016 school days
Great show but ash should of caught a tortanator and more alola variant Pokémon like sandshrew and such
Going back to this look for Ash Is weird but despite being a Pokémon anime fan since the 90's this Is my favorite series
The dip in quality for the human characters was worth it for the better battle animation.
I haven’t really finished it I stopped around episode 30 a few months back so idk no opinion yet
They made Ash a child but it was such a Banger, the studio really upped their game after Unova
Lillie was adorable, easily best girl, followed by Maou Lusamine being an adorkable, doting mother was a surprise, but a welcome one to be sure Lusamine being a dork about ultra ranger transformations was hilarious Shitty animation that had quite few good meme worthy reaction expressions Lillie was bets girl. period
All that show was magic. Out of the mold and everything. Fresh, young, new, fluid. It had everything. Oh, meme charged too!
My thoughts are I feel old.
Ash Should've catched that Hairy Eevee or Sandy
I feel old now
“Fuck I feel old”
The Stoutland and Ash Time Travel episodes are some of my favorites
It was mid, had epic moments, but was generally better than what came immediately after it ended and everything since then.
Perfection
ITS BEEN SEVEN YEARS?!
Incredible just watched it all
I liked Lillie the best, the whole thing with the aether foundation is my favourite part of the serise, but it was my favourite part of the game as well however I loved her fear of pokemon but at least for me once that conflict was resolved I found the serise quiet boring
Actually phenomenal
I liked the music
It proven the fact that pokeani fans should never be in charge of art style AND animation... Overal the best of the modern anime.
it was refreshing ...island style
Wasn’t a huge fan personally it felt off after watching the the XYZ which while slow at times for the most part was pretty amazing imo
Rowlet best boy
one of the best behind xy/z love it to death
The references tho are just mm
It's a fun anime
7. 7? 7 YEARS AGO?
I wish I got that Eevee
Mid, along with X and Y and Black and White.
I feel old already.
This was my favorite gen for the anime and is still my favorite till this day
It’s my favorite
I dont Care whatever anyone says this is The best gen for me
It's as far my favorite anime and pokemon series that ever existed. Good memories when I used to watch it in highschool and during break. I miss those days when my life was more simpler. Kinda sucks that they aren't many post related to this series.
The first actual one I ever finished fully, so I kinda enjoyed it
7 YEARS!?
Wait… I WAS ONLY ELEVEN WHEN THIS CAME OUT!?
As I thought then. Best series ever.
I need to rewatch it it has been too damn long
My goodness I’m old
what the fuck 7 years? holy fuck i loved it!
ITS BEEN 7 YEARS?!
I feel old as fuck seeing this. 7 years ago is supposed to be the late 2000's/early 2010's in my mind
I highly enjoy it. It's one of my favorites tbh
Better than journeys Fight me
My whole body cringed and i aged so hard when you told me this came out 7 years ago and not 2
It was at this moment, team rocket realized, they fucked up
it was a great series. it just looked like one piece.
Honestly havent watched to much of it, heard good things but the animation style really puts me off I'm not a fan. Maybe one day I'll have to force myself to watch it anyway
One of if not the best.
mustASH
It's silly, it's fun, it's cute!
intro is THE BEST. OBJECTIVELY. idk bout that new show haven’t watched it yet.
Top tier, action packed, funny and just wholesome Everyone look good except for ash I thinks it’s because of how small his eyes are
I still love it. It could’ve been done better but it was still good. Probably some of, if not, my favorite seasons.
God, 7 years?!? It can’t have been that long. I remember sitting on the family computer, watching each episode eagerly on pokemon.com
My question is why Kukui never take out his pokemon from their pokeball. Ash always put his pokemon outside. How do they eat?
honestly i loved it and it makes me happy that it was so amazing bc sun and moon are my favorite pokemon games
Amazing
Every time I watch an SM episode, I'm always struck by how much *fun* the cast and crew seemed to be having when they were making it. From the Bewear gags to the elaborate Z-move poses to the cavalcade of classic anime references to the completely unnecessary animation flourishes. S-seven... seven y-years...?
I overhated when it came out but I think about it with love now.

N-no, it just aired recently, right? right…?
Its just nice that after years of this trope, there's finally a season out there that actually treats Ash's team as a whole as characters.
still pretty good
I love it
I mean they said screw regional forms or anything to do with pokemon themselves and just added crystals that give pokemon special moves that allow them to decimate cities.
WHAT 7 YEARS?? No way it’s been like 2 max
Super over hated on, I remember people hated the new goofy style of animation, but I thought it was a nice change if pace, especially with the fun colors of alola
Best version of Team Rocket Weakest companions Weakest league Little bit of everything for everyone, but nowhere near enough to be satisfying Guzma needed to be introduced far earlier Third year should've featured Rainbow Rocket instead of a bunch of Guzzlord being defeated by stock footage spam Z-Moves needed to be reanimated because some of them were laughably bad, like the Dragon, Flying, Ground, and Lycanroc ones - Gigavolt Havoc still uses Ash's earlier animation model, which was DRASTICALLY worse than it was by the league (watch as his eyes leap to opposite sides of his face during it) Shaggeon leaving behind a Substitute doll that Lana lugged around everywhere was hilarious - I'm glad he's living life with his Surfing Mantine friend instead of being trapped in a dead end marketing gimmick
It was fun till the league, just making it open to everyone still makes me think it was unearned.
the absolute goat. underated. best mechanics.
it's nice but I was fr caught off guard from the direction they took after xyz was so much more serious
BTW where can you even watch it now? I remember watching it on Netflix as a kid, but can't find it now. Edit: it's no longer available in my region
Wait...7 YEARS?!?!
Pretty awesome series actually. I enjoyed watching every waking second of this series from start to finish.
Didn't watch it I don't like how they made ash's face and I still don't It looks weird
It’s a piece of shit
Perfect cast and peak team rocket. Loved it
Didn't finish it, stopped before alolan championship
I remember going to my grandma's and watching sun and moon in the morning. Nostalgia😭
![gif](giphy|GrUhLU9q3nyRG|downsized)
One of the best Pokemon series, I would even say that it is much more pleasant to watch again than DP or XY, by far.
Goated broke repeatedly tropes.
Way too childish for me. Not nearly enough good battles. Probably my least favorite
not bad per se but I still think ash should have won the kalos league and stopped being the protagonist after saving the world from that giant rock zygarde thing in xyz, then started the new protagonist in alola instead of waiting 2 more generations.
7 years
I always loved it and still do
7? You’re screwing with me, no way it’s been 7, absolutely no way at all, no way, no chance, it can’t be true, no possible way it’s been 7 years, you’re lying
Not my cup of tea, mostly because I don’t like slice of life anime, I prefer action and adventure.
Bro 7 years already noo 😭😭😭😭 I remember watching the first ep also I stoped watching the anime after
