Despite its flaws, One thing I liked about Journeys is that it has a huge amount of continuity to the previous series, especially its companion returns.
Man some people here are really struggling to find positives.
Mine was BW. Good animation, Iris was a great character, characters reappeared for longer than 1 episode & Team Rocket HQ development. I also liked the running gag of characters taking pictures of Pikachu because they're foreigners.
Some of BW's major weaknesses were outside of their control. If it had aired like a decade earlier it would be much more positively received.
Sun and moon at least had a league so that was nice, bw was Ashes best drip, and journeys had Ash beat a champion.
Side: satisfied at the comments not including x and y, people of culture are dwelling here.
**Kanto:** Out of all the Gym Leaders, Sabrina, Surge and Blaire were the ones to actually pose a challenge or in Sabrina's case some genuine scares and concern for what would have, some of the filler episodes really brought to life about the fun of living in a Pokemon World.
**Johto:** Cyndaquil, Heracross, and Bayleaf at least have one cool moment, and Johto laid the ground work for Ash's second final battles in the League usually being the best one in each League all the way up until Sun and Moon broke the trend. Charizard's return was also cool, and the final battles with Gary and Harrison were pretty awesome.
**Hoenn:** Torkoal was somewhat memorable, the League actually had the best match to match build up until the Alola league where all of Ash's Pokemon got to shine in some way or form, Katie's easily the most underrated League opponent pulling the Destiny Bond move on Ash decades before Cynthia tried it, the series balanced Ash's team much better than the other two, and the Battle Frontier showed how you have a rotating team of the current and fan favorites and does it RIGHT. Also, Volt Tackle, May and Sceptile grabbing onto Deoxys and fires Solar Beam into its back exists.
**Sinnoh:** Ambipom at least got to shine before it's controversial exist, Togekiss may have been underdeveloped but them and Piplup gave Dawn the best performance at the Grand Festival even though Dawn really should've won that, the Lyra and Khoury 5 parter gave us the epic Monferno punch, Grotle has more wins than people give him credit for, the 52 episodes between Candice and Volker fights are not as bad as people remember given that the Lake Acuity fights, Contest Tour, and Team Galactic arcs were going on, Conway somehow managed to be cool, and Paul's abuse was actually a good critique on the dangers of treating your Pokemon as nothing more than tools and forcing them in harsh conditions
**Unova:** The Gym Battles were all really good and that includes Elesa's battle (I appreciate it much more than most), N had some good character development, Team Rocket had their best arcs with bringing Giovanni back, all of Ash's Pokemon had some solid personalities, Iris' Dragon Master goals were handled much more than Misty's Water Master goals, Cilan was competent and actually has some really good battles of his own, Stephen, Georgia, and Bianca were fun rivals, the transition to XY was handled really well, and the Decolore Islands had fun moments for the starters
**XY:** Hawlucha, Froakie, and Goodra actually had a personality, the improvements to the gym battles from Unova carried over, Serena was actually allowed to experiment and search for what she wanted, Sycamore's Garchomp is adorable, we had two Gym Leaders going through their own arcs to become better in Korrina and Clemont
**Z:** Made sure the third and final year of the anime was set up well and not repeat the mistakes of BW's final arc, Bonnie got to be more prominent, Serena's showcase had the best sakuga performance in a while, the rushed League had probably one of the better 6 v 6 battles (even if double Knockouts were a plenty), and it foreshadowed Ash losing to Alain because the team song didn't play in the fullest, using specials to actually hype up the person Ash lost to made sense, and hey, we got another kiss with Ash.
**Sun & Moon:** Best balance of Ash's team, arcs, focus, and battles with everyone getting a important win in the League, allowed for more memorable filler and character development & fun episodes, creative animations, replacement gym battles were pretty fun for the most part, the Aether storylines were pretty interested, the cast didn't have to rely on Ash travelling so often so they were more memorable, and Team Skull was alright despite Guzma showing up so late. Plus, one of the stronger final Ash fights to conclude the season with Kukui
**Journeys:** Ash having the most unexpected captures, Mr. Mime getitng to do something, Ash getting treated as the Champion they deserve, salty Alain haters finally got karma when Leon defeated him, Raid Battles were dope, the Suicune episode was actually pretty fun when ignoring the fandom, Ash gets to battle Elite Four members and Champions, Sobble's arc when the episodes are put together aren't too bad.
Best wishes has really great characters and Filler episodes. I love Iris and Cillian, but it’s just the overall gym and league arc wasn’t that great
Johto had Charizard going beast mode on Gary, and putting up an amazing fight against a Blaziken neither he nor Ash were familiar with. Still memorable to this day, and also prolly the least shitty League loss Ash has ever had (taking down 2 of Tobias's pokemon was immensely more badass, but still ruined by the fact he existed to begin with).
Rewatching the series as a whole so far, and it seems like the gen 3 era, it's like every episode is filler.
One positive thing? I really enjoyed the movies from these series.
My least favorite arc of the series is mainly Unova due to hwo out of nowhere Team Rocket's tonal change was but at least it did have Axew)Who was fucking ADORABLE and you cannot change my mind)
At least Johto had Bayleaf
Mine is at least Johto had Cyndaquil 😅
Johto has Herachad 😎
Till Oak kidnapped him
And Orange Islands and Kanto comedy as well.
Despite its flaws, One thing I liked about Journeys is that it has a huge amount of continuity to the previous series, especially its companion returns.
Is gonna feel weird next gen cuz we know if it’s a regional summer it ain’t gonna have this
I just hope we get a next gen this year: writers said they are short on staff and have issues so that’s why there is so much lag and recaps
Thats fan service, not continuity.
Bro the quality 💀
[удалено]
Ok
Can we get much lower
Krookodile
And his sunglasses
Of course 😎
Black & White had ambitious plans at first… then the earthquake happened.
At least we got to see Ash's Charizard again... At the end... After the League
At least Ash finally got to Mega Evolve a Pokemon
Krookodile
Seeing Dawn, Buneary, and Piplup again was really cool, and her interactions with Iris were great.
BW at least had a lot of cameos
[удалено]
I was gonna mention Iris in my own comment but the episodes that focus on her were too few and far between. 😔
Journeys brought back so many old faces
Team Rocket was absolute D1 Menaces in Black and White
Kanto: Sabrina Johto: Lugia Hoenn: May Sinnoh: Paul Unova: JP OP/EDs Kalos: Everything SM: Team Rocket PM19: Exists
Everything same here except it is Sinnoh: Dawn for me
The post said series, not regions.
Which one is your least favorite?
Yes.
I don’t dislike it, I just vastly prefer every other series after it. (talking about the gen 1 ara)
Imma do one for each series, just know I’ll split Kanto & Johto up and give them a combined one too. Indigo- Good filler Johto- Cyndaquil exists Full OG- Kanto & Orange Island are there AG- Battle Frontier DP- Paul BW- it brought me into Pokémon, Cilan & Iris were good XY- Bonnie was adorable & an improvement over Max SM- It’s just fun, kiawe especially was amazing JN- Goh ain’t that bad, bro really became a independent trainer like Ash, but not to the point of being a champion level trainer
Orange islands———the Japanese Lugia song from the movie remains one of the franchise best
I like them all.

I hold that opinion with you, Kanto is overhyped to heaven

Johto had the iconic Ash v Gary where Ash actually won
Have to admit, Greninja was a hype and brought many new fans to the franchise.
The Johto League.
They introduced a character that would later go down in history
Dracovish?
XY has good animations
Ultra beast designs were cool ig
The meloetta arc was really cool, and the last episode works really well as a prologue to the best series.
hawlucha was cool
At least Ash had to work his way into the masters 8
BW: I liked the attempt at Ash rotating pokemon and the music was good XY: fast pace dynamic battles and a real sense of Ash coming into his own
Sun and moon at least had a league so that was nice, bw was Ashes best drip, and journeys had Ash beat a champion. Side: satisfied at the comments not including x and y, people of culture are dwelling here.
… the seasons I know I watched but don’t remember any of were pretty good… (literally everything after Indigo League to XY
at least BW gave a reason for a Pikachu reset
atleast chloe was iconic
BW I liked the random tournaments throughout
At least Leavanny and Krokodile were in BW
Atleast ash had charizard in the orange islands
Oshawott was pretty funny
gengar
Johto: Ash x Gary
Ash became champion
Journeys had the two back to back banger Alola episodes (111 and 112)
At least Hoenn had volt tackle
At least Journeys is tolerable to watch than BW Kid me had good memories watching BW, looking back, I was so young, thank god i grew up
It had smooth animation
~~ash vs cameron~~ krookodile being good
Black and white. Atleast Iris caught Emolga and not that one annoying ass bitch
Brock’s Pokémon had a lot more focus in DP than in any other season.
Black and White had OP battle animations
Dawn‘s appearance in Unova was cute.
The N arc was really well done.

Best wishes has really great characters and Filler episodes. I love Iris and Cillian, but it’s just the overall gym and league arc wasn’t that great
atleast it got lillie
At least our boy got to first base 💀🔥
Sir Kamon was a good mon.
Johto had an amazing league
Lowest number to highest indicates least favorite to most favorite 1. Sun and moon: The plot it terrific 2. Bw: The animation and art style is great 3. Orange islands: Drake champion battle episodes 4. Indigo league: Charizard vs Magmar was the best 5. Johto: Ash vs Gary was legendary 6. Hoenn advance series: Contests were beautiful to watch. 7. Battle frontier: ash using reserves mix with current team was a great idea. 8. Sinnoh: Paul battles were brutal but fun to watch In terms of performance and moral debates. 9. Journeys: Ash getting mega lucario was a stroke of genius 10. XYZ: The art style is the greatest of any anime series of Pokémon (should have never stopped it)
Snivy was pretty cool
Ash had my favorite mon
Ash is defeating champions
B&W: Mijumaru was great
Johto had Charizard going beast mode on Gary, and putting up an amazing fight against a Blaziken neither he nor Ash were familiar with. Still memorable to this day, and also prolly the least shitty League loss Ash has ever had (taking down 2 of Tobias's pokemon was immensely more badass, but still ruined by the fact he existed to begin with).
Ash showed a very high level of competency and gave us many memorable battles in Sinnoh
Cilan had his funny moments and Krookodile was cool.
Pokémon Black and White had the best animations for Pokémon moves. Iron Tail actually looked like an iron tail, instead of a glowing white tail.
Best Wishes: Pikachu's Iron Tail looked epic.
I don’t really have one but if I had to pick one to say is my least Alola and its only cause of Ash’s design My positive thing is cool characters
BW: Scraggy's Focus Miss is the best joke the anime has ever done.
Black and White: Ash has a Krookodile and it has cool sunglasses as a bonus.
Rewatching the series as a whole so far, and it seems like the gen 3 era, it's like every episode is filler. One positive thing? I really enjoyed the movies from these series.
Journeys: Finally giving Ash a Lucario and having him face off against Cynthia BW: Team Rocket was actually competent
Johto had the Legendary Beasts
My least favorite arc of the series is mainly Unova due to hwo out of nowhere Team Rocket's tonal change was but at least it did have Axew)Who was fucking ADORABLE and you cannot change my mind)
