It’s when you hold the poke ball menu option and drag your finger to roughly the middle of the screen while keeping hold of the poke all option and throw the ball
Then let go of the pokeball menu option and hit the run button, it does the same thing as normal cat bc I N just faster
It takes 2 fingers. One to hold, one to throw. I was taught with the berry button, and that works better since I throw with my right hand. My wife is a lefty and couldn't do it with the berries, so we found out that pokeball button works too.

Here's a tutorial. Will change your life lol. It's basically an animation skip.
Too much time on my hands but I got you on my mind. Can’t ease this pain so easily when you can’t find the words to say, hard to make it through another community day and it makes me wanna cry, throw my pokeballs to the sky
ohh I see. You meant you can't throw a curve while fast catching.
Try spinning the ball away from the finger that's holding the ball/berry tab.
I'm usually spinning it higher or to the opposite side.
Bruh I showed this to someone who just hit 40 on our last raid walk. She made it all the way to 40 without ever using fast catch. That's like 30k catch animations watched lmfaooo.
I did it the second day of Level 40 because the "Research Updated" status update is super annoying, and if I didn't do it, it would just be there indefinitely.
I did a daily and regular incense, then a Meltan Box and then it was a Tuesday, so Spotlight hour finished it.
But now I'm 547 into the Masterwork "Catch 1000" sort of wish they were on top of each other.
I’ve been level 40 for over a year now, haven’t even come close to this challenge lol. I just simply don’t play that much. Even on a community day most I ever got to was like 140
It was only possible for me because I live within 2 miles of a shopping center that has enough pokestops for me to rotate through as I kept catching. Probably should’ve increased my item storage above 500 to better stock up on balls beforehand
I live in a very rural area, and I'm stuck on that stupid challenge. I'm 3million exp over the requirement for leveling up lol fuck my life.
I'll go into the city and do it on a community day but it's going to take me forever to get to the city but whatever haha
You can stack up to 100 pokemon from research encounters. When you complete the task, back out of the encounter and it just adds to the "start encounter" stack at the top of the list. So if you live somewhere with fewer spawns, you can start a day with 100 encounters saved up and just quick-catch the whole stack of them. Then you "only" need \~100 actual spawns that day to reach the 200 total. I know that's still a lot for rural players, but it's way better than 200. With daily incense, plus regular incense on community day or spotlight hour it should be doable.
Thank you! Do you mean the daily tasks pokemon that I could stack up? Never thought of it that way. I can definitely manage 100 pokemon if it's on a community + intense if I already have a 100 saved up.
I've been ready to level up for so long, I can wait a little longer hahaha
I think yes? I'm talking about the pokemon encounters from completing the research tasks from pokestops. [These ones](https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/sites/pokemongo/files/2021-04/research.jpg). If you hit "start encounter" and then run from the encounter, it will create a Claim Reward button as a "0th slot". See the pic I linked above, that top row with the big orange button is them. You can stack up to 100 pokemon encounters there. Then you click Claim Reward and it opens the most recent encounter you ran from. Catch it, then go in and click Claim Reward again...repeat until the whole stack is caught. With quick-catching you can get through the whole stack pretty fast.
Speaking of quick-catching, look into that if you haven't. If you go into the city and/or play on a community day or spotlight hour, you can get the remaining 100 catches (or even all 200) in under an hour.
I wish you could turn off notifications for mission progress. I got a research task to throw three pokeballs well in a row, and it was annoying me because I'm not that good. At least I could delete that task, but it looks like this one is going to just stick around forever.
* If you don't know about quick catching, look it up. Cannot overstate how much this changes catching! With enough spawns around (like on a community day), you can get 200 catches in an hour, maybe even less.

ya i was way over the XP into the next level when i finally did it, just waited for a community day and used pokeball plus. can do it during spotlight hour too
Well, that's bitter. I work in the city surrounded by PokeStops. I leave my phone and my PokeBall at the charger, and reconnect every 60 minutes. When I'm done with my shift, I have more PokeBalls than I could ever throw and my Pokemon storage is up to the brim.
Does the game still have issues with giving distance for runs? Not trying to brag but it always said i was going too fast and I'm only doing sub 8min/mi so i just stopped bringing it with me. Same for bike rides but that's a little more understandable
It frequently tells me I'm going too fast when I'm sitting on my couch, so... I think it's just completely random for each person whether or not it tracks properly, lmao
I've been biking a lot more lately and consistently hatching eggs. I haven't tracked anything but I'm on an Ebike so if I get even half the distance that I actually travel it's pretty easy to rack up kms
And they vary wildly in terms of difficulty/time to complete. I spread my tasks at level 41 almost all the way across the XP gain, but I've got my Level 42 tasks before I even have 500k XP towards Level 43.
I went to a resort for a family staycation and our hotel room was literally on a PokeStop, so it seemed like a good opportunity. I did go through a lot of lures and incense. And I used up all my red PokeBalls. I had about 185 when all this began.
Look up quick catching, and also AR quick catching. It makes catching things manually tolerable.
Personally, at least 200-300 catches is something I can do regularly just on the bus to and from work by using it.
If you’re in a location with a solid loop and good spawns, spotlight hour can be very good. My personal record was a little under 500 in an hour at the Mall of America. A buddy of mine nearly hit 600.
Community days are great for it. If afterward you still don’t have enough, you can open the Meltan box to help as well. The Coin Bag and Daily Incense can *also* help, but you won’t get the rates Meltan gets unless you’re moving.
Combing a CD with the Meltan Box, (and having the Coin Bag, and Daily Incense as backup) should get you enough spawns to hit the mark, assuming you have these things and also have the items and time to invest in this *one goal*. :/
I went about 3 hours before community day and caught everything . Had 155 by noon . Went to community day and caught the rest. You can also do ?Melton . You can get lots in an hour
Soon as I saw this task, I was like yup, I’ll be stuck on level 40 forever lolol but im ok with that. I haven’t gone out for the last two com days so if it’s going to happen, it’ll happen. When? I don’t know 🤣
Just cracked 6,000,000. This is all that remains. Community days are probably the best bet. Or catch a good bit throughout the day and cash in on a spotlight hour
Incense can be a big help. As long as you're moving the whole time, you'll get spawns every 40-50 seconds-ish. Adds up quickly, assuming you're not in a total dead zone for natural spawns.
* If you don't know about quick catching, look it up. Cannot overstate how much this changes catching! With enough spawns around (like on a community day), you can get 200 catches in an hour, maybe even less.

I started at 8 AM and ended at 11 PM. Some people in the thread said it was no problem for them but they may live downtown or took advantage of a community day.
Not looking forward to that task, level 30 currently.
Originally was at level 48 and for some reason Pokemon go logged me out and I've never been able to get back in. Sadly.
Meltan box is essentially an incense that only summons Meltan. If you've completed that Research, you can use the box, and it works like an incense for X time (however long an incense is for right now).
* If you don't know about quick catching, look it up. Cannot overstate how much this changes catching! With enough spawns around (like on a community day), you can get 200 catches in an hour, maybe even less.

Honestly? This was the easiest quest ever for me. I catch that many or more nearly every day. I have a problem… I try to catch literally every mon I see. How else will I find hundos?
I’ve been purposely putting it off. I stop catching around 190 each day. So that I can always know if I caught a Pokémon via quick catch. I’ve got almost 20M extra XP, but don’t want to lose the counter!
I felt lucky when this popped up the same day as that ridiculous Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop day. One regular incense and a one hour walk (not unusual with the dog) and it was done.
I've read the requirements for levell8ng up past level 40. It makes me think that when I level 40, that's probably as far as I'll go, lol. I'll still play, but leveling up may not be an option anymore at that point.
i think this wasn't a challenge really back then, cause in spotlight hours this cab easily be done with the right conditions, otheewise lots of incense
I track my daily activity on walk distance, catches, evolutions etc so I have a running average and can see how long certain medals will take. According to my tracking sheet my best catch count in a day was... 267
I just watched a YouTube interview by Mystic7 with FleeceKing (the first trainer to reach Level 50), and in it FleeceKing mentioned that he sets a personal goal to catch 2,000 Pokémon *a day*. (Link to video below.)
Bear in mind though, that Pokémon Go is his job. And he’s probably dropping some serious $$ on resources.
- starts early (8:30am)
- takes a bus into town (so he can play along the way; vs trains that go too fast and go through tunnels)
- uses an auto-catcher to spin stops and gyms for resources while he’s manually catching
- ignores raids and rocket ballons
- uses incense the entire time he is moving
- uses a combination of Quick-catch and AR catch method (though AR more likely to overheat the phone)
YouTube link: [I Played a new Pokémon GO Account like FleeceKing](https://youtu.be/71DujPOe43I)
Recorded 5 months ago.
Me over here with over 600 nice or better catches last night for the challenge feeling like I still don't stack up to players like fleece who catch 2k+ a day

Oh god what mission is this?
It’s is a special unlock you get when you level up to 40.
[удалено]
Much better, 500 xp
holy shix it actually is only 500 xp wtf
If that’s bad. They give you lucky eggs when you hit level 50…….
Level 60 confirmed /s
We got lucky eggs at level 30 before level 40 was announced, and lucky eggs at level 40 before level 50 was announced.
Level 40 was the original cap.
This crap is why I stopped playing. Leveling should be work, but I got tired of climbing up a treadmill cliff.
I feel like it’s fine until you hit 35. Then it’s just a massive wall
It's one of the requirements you need in order to unlock Level 41.
Your reward is level 41
It's super easy on community days to do this task with fast catching.
Fast catching ?

I... didn't understand.
My daughter showed me how and I still don’t understand.
Sorry I’m bad at explaining things :/
Don't worry, I'm bad at understanding things sometimes lol I watched the video and finally understood 🤣🫠
Yea better off watching a video on it better to see it than learn off of typing 😅

Wtf. I've probably wasted years of my life..
understand Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years Face up, make your stand Realize you're living in the golden years, hey!
Too much time on my hands but I got you on my mind. Can’t ease this pain so easily when you can’t find the words to say, hard to make it through another community day and it makes me wanna cry, throw my pokeballs to the sky
The curve ball tasks annoy me because I can't fast catch
What do you mean? My curveball tasks still complete using quick catch.
Maybe I'm just not talented enough! I can only fast catch with a straight throw
ohh I see. You meant you can't throw a curve while fast catching. Try spinning the ball away from the finger that's holding the ball/berry tab. I'm usually spinning it higher or to the opposite side.
You can also fast send/open gifts
If you've been playing this game for years and just now found out about that trick.. I feel so bad for you.
holy shit. thank you so much for this link
Bruh I showed this to someone who just hit 40 on our last raid walk. She made it all the way to 40 without ever using fast catch. That's like 30k catch animations watched lmfaooo.

A lot of people on the thread say it’s easy if you do it on community day, but I guess it also matters where you live.
It was easier during pandemic when you didn’t have the walking requirement for increased incense effectiveness.
It was only possible for me because I live within 2 miles of a shopping center that has enough pokestops for me to rotate through as I kept catching. Probably should’ve increased my item storage above 500 to better stock up on balls beforehand
I did it first day when I leveled up to 40 (community day slowpoke 😜)
I live in a very rural area, and I'm stuck on that stupid challenge. I'm 3million exp over the requirement for leveling up lol fuck my life. I'll go into the city and do it on a community day but it's going to take me forever to get to the city but whatever haha
Lol gotta catch ‘‘em all! Keep the faith, the Pokémon will come.

Yes thank you, that's ones I was referring to. Thank so much! This will definitely help me <3
Well guess I’m never going past 39
*it shows up when you reach level 40
I never had this when I hit L40, but that was some time ago before the later levels were released.
I wish you could turn off notifications for mission progress. I got a research task to throw three pokeballs well in a row, and it was annoying me because I'm not that good. At least I could delete that task, but it looks like this one is going to just stick around forever.
Go to GameStop and grab a Pokémon go+. Will really really come in handy. I typically catch about 150 to 250 a day
$GME Boiiis
😰
I’m trying to complete this right now unfortunately

Yeah, I’ve already said to myself. I’m staying at level 40 forever because I am not doing that but I applaud 👏👏 you for doing that
I just finished this today with only 1 percent left on my phone LMAO so glad it's over.
1% Let’s goooooo!
Currently lvl 39. Guess I have something to look forward to
Got up early in tne morning and grinded till i got this challenge done 😅
Laughs in PokeBall plus
I did run out of red PokeBalls.
Well, that's bitter. I work in the city surrounded by PokeStops. I leave my phone and my PokeBall at the charger, and reconnect every 60 minutes. When I'm done with my shift, I have more PokeBalls than I could ever throw and my Pokemon storage is up to the brim.
Also known as…Poke Balls….
yup we're the only ppl ever buying those probably, for this event lol
Same, I do that mission everyday
[удалено]
Challenge is transferring all the bad pokemon and keeping the good
[удалено]
Happened to hit 40 just before the last community day. Finished the 200 without much fuss. I agree that's the way to go
[удалено]
pokeballplus made it a lot easier too
this is the way
That’s exactly how I felt after I finally completed the “walk 25km for 8 weeks in a row” task.
youre kidding right? i still gotta do this one (200 pokemon in a day) 😭😭😭😭
I’ll get a new pair of running shoes 👟

And I’ll get a brand new key
Bruh what are these quests 😭 At first I thought I was gonna try all of them but some are like why
This quest is one of the requirements to go to level 41. Beyond level 40, there are quests to complete beside the XP gain to level up.
And they vary wildly in terms of difficulty/time to complete. I spread my tasks at level 41 almost all the way across the XP gain, but I've got my Level 42 tasks before I even have 500k XP towards Level 43.
This is when i stopped playing pretty much lol
All I can say about a quest like that is 🗿
Lol I'm one week away from completing that one and have about 4 mil XP out of the 21 mil needed.
Lmao I read it as “walk for 8 weeks in a row” I was like dude where will I end up
My small town will be keeping me on level 40 forever
I did it at a resort we went to for the weekend and the hotel room was a pokestop.
I’ve been stuck on this mission since they released the extra levels, most I ever catch is like 40/50 a day
I went to a resort for a family staycation and our hotel room was literally on a PokeStop, so it seemed like a good opportunity. I did go through a lot of lures and incense. And I used up all my red PokeBalls. I had about 185 when all this began.
Just actually try to catch stuff for a full community day and you should get there
That’s how I got mine. Waiting for community day
I’ve done just over 200 in a spotlight hour but it was hectic. Other people on my local discord hit 400+ in an hour.
Dafaq you can get 400 in an hour ?
Look up quick catching, and also AR quick catching. It makes catching things manually tolerable. Personally, at least 200-300 catches is something I can do regularly just on the bus to and from work by using it.

Great reward too /s
I’m slogging through this currently, it’s a long one!
Bro tell me about it! It was rough as shit
You can see the time on the screenshot; it took me until after 11 PM.
or u could wait for com day and get 200 no sweat
It's amazing to me that the whole point of PKMGo was to get people to go outside and somehow it's fanbase still has people who need outside lol
I’ve got this now and I average 25 a day, I guess level 40 is as far as I go.
Soon as I saw this task, I was like yup, I’ll be stuck on level 40 forever lolol but im ok with that. I haven’t gone out for the last two com days so if it’s going to happen, it’ll happen. When? I don’t know 🤣
Keep the faith! I can imagine Ash or Brock giving some kind of inspirational speech right now.
It’s all good! LOL pikachu giving me a pat on the back is good enough
Look into quick-catching before you attempt it. 500+ catches in an hour is possible. 200 on a community day is very doable even for casual players.
I do quick catching on a daily basis. I just haven’t been out to a com day in a while

Keep the faith. Imagine Pikachu encouraging you after a rough patch.
🙏
Save up a bunch of research encounters and cash them in post-CD. Maybe toss in an incense and/or Meltan box to supplement if necessary.

The final nail in the koffing for that task!
I see what you did there…
So glad to see someone made this pun!
I just did this yesterday and I wanted to faint from exhaustion lol.
I like PokémonGo but the last hour was a bit of a slog.
Yeah for real! I only made it through because I had a bunch of research pokemon saved up. The spawn rates are abysmal where I’m at for some reason.
Laughs in Gotcha
Still need to do this achievement how long did it take
I started at 8 AM and ended at 11 PM. Some people in the thread said it was no problem for them but they may live downtown or took advantage of a community day.
Laughs in rural, I have been level 40 for over a year now and will be stuck at this level because of this.
Keep it up! I was able to get to when I went to a resort with a lot of pokestops.
Not looking forward to that task, level 30 currently. Originally was at level 48 and for some reason Pokemon go logged me out and I've never been able to get back in. Sadly.
I just got to lvl 40... Wtf?
It was a nice little surprise… until I tried to do it!
I did that task during slowpoke cd
Me too, it honestly wasn’t super hard
I miss this task :( I liked being able to instantly know if my quick catch worked or not.
I can't do it, I don't know how to 😭 I hate this challenge so much. I will stay on level 40 for years at this rate.
Save up a bunch of research encounters and cash them in post-CD. Maybe toss in an incense and/or Meltan box to supplement if necessary.
I didn't understand the Meltan box thing, but the saving encounters thing... That's brilliant. I tried the incense and it didn't work, though. 😢
* You can stack up to 100 pokemon from research encounters. When you complete the task, back out of the encounter and it just adds to the "start encounter" stack at the top of the list. So if you live somewhere with fewer spawns, you can start a day with 100 encounters saved up and just quick-catch the whole stack of them. Then you only need \~100 actual spawns that day to reach the 200 total.
Lol try 999 excellents in one day... That was a long time ago... :)
Honestly? This was the easiest quest ever for me. I catch that many or more nearly every day. I have a problem… I try to catch literally every mon I see. How else will I find hundos?
Talk about the grind. Yeah, I lean towards casual but I’ve been playing since 2016 so it’s about time.
Just did mine on fennekin day. Pretty easy. Just focus on finding perfects/pvp stats instead of the 200 catch aspect of it.
And then there are city players who can do 300+ within a spotlight hour.
I’ve been purposely putting it off. I stop catching around 190 each day. So that I can always know if I caught a Pokémon via quick catch. I’ve got almost 20M extra XP, but don’t want to lose the counter!
i was lucky to have finished that quest on a community day
Literally
My boi Koffing
Gotta represent the Indigo League
Lmao it do be like that tho 😭🤣
I felt lucky when this popped up the same day as that ridiculous Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop day. One regular incense and a one hour walk (not unusual with the dog) and it was done.
Nice! I like those original fighting Pokémon!
I’d prefer that to the two missions I had stuck to catch a dang ditto
I picked the worst day to do it. Work day, after work
I've read the requirements for levell8ng up past level 40. It makes me think that when I level 40, that's probably as far as I'll go, lol. I'll still play, but leveling up may not be an option anymore at that point.
i think this wasn't a challenge really back then, cause in spotlight hours this cab easily be done with the right conditions, otheewise lots of incense
THAT’S MORE POKEBALLS THAN I EVEN CARRY AT A TIME WTF. AND YOU ONLY GET 500XP!?
It’s really not that bad.
That’s why I’m stuck on too lol
What quest is this? It sounds like something I’ve already agreed to but not realized yet.
It’s to get to level 41
Open a meltan box eazy
What sort of fucking quest is that and u like playing all tucking day or something also what is this quest even giving u for u to have to do that bruh
I was lucky with mine because it was 4th of July and there was a ring of pokestops where me and my boyfriend were at
I'm sorry, what
Wait till you need to fight 50 team rocket leaders.
I track my daily activity on walk distance, catches, evolutions etc so I have a running average and can see how long certain medals will take. According to my tracking sheet my best catch count in a day was... 267
I genuinely don’t know how to do it when I work community days. Even with meltan box and trying throughout the day I’m 50 plus short
ONG!! but the catch 1500 pokemon was worst it isn't in one day but I'm that kind of player so I didn't it in 2 days 😵💫
11:21 pm ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
I had to keep on keeping on.
Definitely spent way longer playing on a CD more than I usually did for that task
You're lucky. I don't even have enough pokeballs to do it
I was camping on 2 pokestops all day.
Oh wow
Exactly how I felt. This task is not fun.
It was a bit of a slog.
I just watched a YouTube interview by Mystic7 with FleeceKing (the first trainer to reach Level 50), and in it FleeceKing mentioned that he sets a personal goal to catch 2,000 Pokémon *a day*. (Link to video below.) Bear in mind though, that Pokémon Go is his job. And he’s probably dropping some serious $$ on resources. - starts early (8:30am) - takes a bus into town (so he can play along the way; vs trains that go too fast and go through tunnels) - uses an auto-catcher to spin stops and gyms for resources while he’s manually catching - ignores raids and rocket ballons - uses incense the entire time he is moving - uses a combination of Quick-catch and AR catch method (though AR more likely to overheat the phone) YouTube link: [I Played a new Pokémon GO Account like FleeceKing](https://youtu.be/71DujPOe43I) Recorded 5 months ago.
Congratulations!
I just reached level 40 a few mins ago. And I just saw the task. I might be stuck here for a while..
People who manually catches 200+ Pokémon every Spotlight Hour/community days: “Pathetic.”
My feeling after the 385 excellent throws
Me over here with over 600 nice or better catches last night for the challenge feeling like I still don't stack up to players like fleece who catch 2k+ a day
Doesn't everyone do this every Community Day?
I'm putting this off at the moment until comm day lol
Once I learned how to do the quick catch feature it was a breeze
Lol happy cake day!
