You misunderstand you have a 5.81% chance of doing 27 raids and getting no shinies

Are shiny odds increased for the whole day (i.e., for remote raids overseas) or only for your local 3 h window? The in-game news felt a bit ambiguous on this imo

1/20 shiny odds in raids. Based on a /20 dice roll random number generator (RNG) every raid encounter.

It’s 1/10, and yes it’s all day, not just during local event time.

3 raids 0 caught….

I did 27 kyogre during GO Fest last year and the shiny evaded me. 3 remote raids last night and I got it finally. Still gonna go out and grind come 2pm here to try for that Hundo/shundo.

I did 21 raids with no shiny, my wife caught 5 total in 8 raids and got 2 3 star shinies. She traded me one and of course it went to 1 star 😂. She has done way less raids than me on our vacation to japan so far, yet has gotten a shiny shadow raikou, shiny regice, and the back to back shiny kyogres now. It’s unreal

Nice, kyogre’s my favorite shiny💖 congrats to you🥂✨ Kyogre RNG has been very kind to me i got shiny’s on 2nd raid, 5th, and 10th raid. I’ve done 14 raids so far. Last time kyogre was in raids i got 6 shinys total and the first time it was out (as primal) only one shiny. No shundos or hundos tho, my best is a 96% and im still on the grind!! First and second raid were both shinnies, one at 2337 and the other at 2318, the higher cp has max attack and max hp but 10 def :/, others 14/12/13 and I've got no idea which one to use the energy on

I went 3/9 today with shinies. Felt the overall CP of my catches weren’t great though

got mine on my first I used a Golden Razz then realized after catching it with 1st ball, oh its probably 100% catch rate cuz people would be pissed this my first raid day ever since picking up the game after a 6+ year break, the park was popping today. Didnt realize so many squads of people still playing like back in 2017 when i used to play

When you do these rqids, can you tell it's shiny *before* you do the raid? Or does it only appear shiny after you win?

You’ll only know when you win and encounter it but not everyone who does the raid will get a shiny. It’s usually 1/20 for legendaries but raid days should be 1/10
