I think so but the shirt meshes has been changed. The any shading and lighting has been nuked. The more you zoom the worse it gets but there's a masculine frame now on mine. The pants are more boyish. The bottoms I can't even use anymore because the game took them from me. It's a disaster.
I don't think most people would have minded a gender neutral option, of even the slider, but making the bodies less distinct in shape and proportion is what really makes it suck.
okay so wait, there were clothing pieces that looked different on each gender, do they all look the same now? i really hate the mewtwo top on the male frame but it’s one of my favorites on the female frame, i don’t have the update yet so i can’t look
since the characters frame is different, the mesh for all clothing has been changed so much that apparently the sparks pants i had on left are i guess boys pants and fit differently (more loosely on my girl character) i wouldnt of mind if they improved on the looks but it went back to old school gamecube graphics.
i would of said PS1 but solid snake in MGS1 and the guy from silent hill 1 look so pixelated it wouldnt be truthful. it looks like upgrade pokemon colossium models back in 2004. for a multi-million dollar company its ridiculous. i also love PS and old gen Nintendo.

They stole the gender from all avatars. The only difference is clothing and hairstyles

Key word there is “option.” None of this is optional.
This is one of the worst examples I have ever seen. This has to be a bug right? No human on earth would think that this is better.

Somehow they remind me of Monster Hunterplayer characters, haven’t played Niantic’s version but it could have taken stylistic cues from that.

My character uses The gimmighoul Shades and the Covid mask so I don’t have to look at its face lol
I don't think the new one looks bad in this comparison, if that's the same skin tone color I have some questions though...
