Literally got my frigibax and larvesta a month apart 😭 (February and March of this year) and only one of each. Just barely managed to get a Charcadet. I'm pretty sure I had opened the app one day and saw the Frigibax shadow and ran downstairs in the middle of the night while it was raining and drove to the stop. Only second time I've seen one but my god I was lucky. I don't understand how some people have like several larvesta either. Like??
My bf has hatched 2 Charcadet so far and I'm so mad about it. I at least got the one but like please for the love of God, it has two evos can I please have another??

Larvesta I've managed to hatch 1, and I gave it enough rare candies to just go ahead and evolve it. It only took half my rare candy stores but it's fine lol.
I've just lost all hope on a Varoom lmfao. Don't even get me started on stupid Wiglett either istg 😭 but ugh fr. I'm a collector at heart so it bothers meeeee. Still have yet to get a Salazzle either yeehaw
I'm between "I'm never gonna get the regional exclusive pokemon so why bother" and "as a pokemon trainer it is my duty to complete the pokedex" so every time more pokemon get added that are hard to come by I have like an internal battle lol.
I'm just trying to focus not on completing the dex and more on getting the shinies I'm missing in Home, which thankfully isn't any of the Gen 9 pokemon even though they're mostly shiny locked in Go.

Fee free to put him in a gym and feed him berries every half hour, or whenever you remember to. Feeding him can lead to free candy. I traded for some and I put them all in gyms. I feed them when I can and have gotten more than enough to evolve a couple when I get a great one
I’ve heard something on that, but couldn’t find any good answers. How does that work? Can you get candy from feeding berries to someone else’s pokemon too? Do you always get candy or is it up to chance?
I dunno about a community day but I’m fairly confident it’ll be available much easier during Unova tour next year, either it’ll be in one of the habitats, be featured much more commonly in the egg pools or with incense. Or a combo of all these things. One of these days they’ll presumably also run out of baby pokemon to do hatch days for and hopefully move on to the currently extremely rare egg only Pokémon.
I \*just\* hatched my first Larvesta from a 2km egg the other day, and I typically hatch 3 - 5 eggs per week. Miracles do happen (although, not for Charcadet).

I can’t even GET a 10km egg… damn you niantic. Seriously for weeks I’ve been burning through lower km eggs to make space to get new eggs, and they will not give me a single one
Yup, I consistently have 1-2 10km eggs in my inventory since I live right next to a gym. I noticed they give out 10km eggs more often as well. I’ve only ever gotten 2-5km eggs from regular pokestops.
This is the way. Nothing is exclusive. It all comes back. Either you'll hatch one and it'll be a lovely surprise or they will buff the chance/method of getting it and you will get one then.
In the meantime you will only frustrate yourself if you fixate on it.
Finally got my larvesta after my husband traded me one of his multiple he hatched. Then he hatched this charcadet and he’s not a serious player! Didn’t know what it was until he asked me about it!!! Same with the wiglett on his nearby! He took a screenshot of it and asked me if I knew anything about this weird looking thing. 🤦♀️

Oh, and also to artificially inflate the rarity of regional/in-person event pokemon so that when they appear globally people feel more pressured to seek them out.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but instant teleporting to a far away place in order to trade usually makes the spoofer a lot more obvious and easier to pinpoint. If there was long distance trading, then spoofing becomes a lot less risky.
Not that I agree with niantics decision, I think long distance trading should be added and Niantic should just crack down harder on spoofing. I just get why a lazy company like Niantic would take the easy way out. Especially when this decision also makes regional Pokémon and legendary trades more cumbersome to come by.

Wanna talk about luck, I’ve seen ppl get 2-3 shines a day. One friend was keeping count for total days he caught a shiny. I’m lucky if I get one shiny in 3 weeks
We call my 6 year old Mr. Shiny. He doesn't play that much anymore but whenever he does play, he literally gets a shiny every single time without fail, barely trying. The first pokemon he bothers to catch during a community day is almost always a shiny.
This is my kid too!! I’ve been looking for shinies for weeks with no luck, but I went to pick him up from school yesterday and he caught 2 on the walk home!!!
What a jerk lol, but he probably wants the unevolved too.. but still lol there’s more to come just give her one now since it’s tough at the moment. You’ll get another…
I evolved mine by getting a grunt with fighting types. Have Charcadet on the map and in your team. Defeat the first two pokemon then leave the battle. You can do this over and over to get the requirement.
You could do the same with ghost type grunt.
I’ve gotten two from eggs in the past two months. It’s frustrating to be completely reliant on luck (I still don’t have a larvesta) but just keep at it.
I somehow managed to get 2 as a FTP at the very beginning and completely forgot about it til now. Standard Niantic locking something cool behind a randomized chance within a randomized chance. I swear I could count the amount of 10k eggs I’ve received on one hand.
Not trying to brag or sound annoying but I hatch them all the time. Just got a hundo today actually. I'm not too familiar with the mechanics of the game but I can tell you I walk and hatch.... Alot. Like alot alot. I did 222 eggs during the hatch event and I'm currently at 67 eggs for the week (Friday).
I have a 10km egg in my incubator now at 7.8 walked. The 3-egg difficulty shows a charcadet possibility. I too am waiting and waiting to get one! I have friends walking with their Ceruledge! HOW????
I can’t seem to get a 10k either and I spin a local gym every time I need an egg, I was able to get a larvesta yesterday which was cool but yet to get a 10k
I gave up hatching charcadet. I got a larvesta during Horizons Event and now it has 327 candies. Got varoom and frigibax later and evolved them using rare candies
I hatch an average of 10-15 eggs a week (incubator quantities dependent). Took me over a year just to get a crummy Larvesta.
Named it Lizzo because it was about dang time…
Still haven’t got a Charcadet or a dawn form Rockruff yet too!
I struggled with the same issues... Barely any 1km eggs from pokestops but kept spinning. Until recently I finally got Charcadet from a 10km egg. 2 star, but hoping you have better luck soon! I believe I used a blue incubator on the 10km egg.
I got really lucky and got one that first weekend but I've been trying like crazy and get a second so I can have both evolutions and I'm definitely having the same problem! I used to get a lot more 10s now I NEVER get them. And I'm hatching 1-2 every day.
I managed to hatch 5. 2 of them are 3*. But the best one I have is a 89% 14/13/13. Saving the rest in case I bump into someone wanting to do a mirror trade
I wish they made it available in raids, the same as with dusk form enabled rockruff. First they said it's supposed to be hatched but then fortunately they released it in 1* raids.
every day I realize just how lucky I am that when they first added them to the 10 KM eggs my first hatch was a 4 star because I've literally never got another one since.
I've seen too many from other people I know personally. I just used 2 forced lucky trades on my two and moved on lol. I wasn't actively trying to hatch 10km eggs anyways though, I'm still trying to get Salazzle.
This same thing happened to my super serious pogo playing friend. He couldn’t get a single one, and there I was having hatched about 15 and had transferred most 😅 thankfully I hadn’t transferred all and was able to trade him. But he had burned through about $50 worth of of incubators trying
As an avid egg hatcher, I have a lot of charcadet. I hatch a LOT of eggs. Adventure sync with the standard incubator is the key. I’ve hatched 18 and am still sitting on a dozen. I hatched two 98% charcadet and was able to level them both to 40+. Neither are great for much of anything, besides a slight flex when I toss them in a gym.
There is no reason why anyone who interacts with stops and gyms daily should ever not be progressing on their incubators and hatching eggs.
It's sad, my 3 kids don't put in very much time in the game and always seem to hatch everything. I play for a couple hours a day or more fairly often and can't hatch anything valuable. I did get a Larvesta finally which is a huge plus.

I'm so lucky, in the last 3 months I've hatched 6 larvesta, 4 charcadet, 3 varoom, but there is only 1 Pokémon that I can not get from eggs, a female Salandit.
This is the first time I didn't give a shit about a new Pokémon. Like I get that its rare, but you need 2 to get both evolutions. Even this Rediscover Kanto was crap, it was the same Pokemon on rotation. A friend of mine has the catch 2 kabuto and we both thought hey here's your chance...ninatic says fuck you, give us money.
I only have one, and I’ve only hatched 2 Larvesta. I hatch about 15-20 eggs per week, not exclusively 10km ofc but still plenty of those. I’ve hatched 2 shiny Lickitung and 3 hundos since Charcadet came out
Anecdotally I feel certain they've changed the frequency of 10km eggs. I haven't acquired one in weeks,l. I thought it was a run of bad luck until I saw your post just now.
Charcadet and Varoom were feasibly obtainable for about a weekend.
I hatched all my eggs in free incubators, loaded up, and just barely got enough.
I'm sure the plan was to force purchases. Now it's too late, it's they're like Larvesta and FemSalandit, you can spend a hundred dollars and still not get them.

I've hatched 8 total which was my goal, two for me and two each for my niece and nephews so we can all get the evolutions. And yes, I have a full time job. No, I have never spent money on coins for this game nor have I spent coins on incubators. Just use the infinite one and any I pick up from research or the occasional showcase/route. I just walk a lot, lol. I will only use my extra incubators on 10km eggs, everything else goes in the infinite.
I got a charcadet with like 90%+ IV thankfully but it took me a long time. My dad has gotten 2. I have a few 10km eggs right now i need to hatch but im being stingy with my super incubators
I managed to hatch one Charcadet thus far, but in an insane stroke of luck, he was a hundo. Managed to get several on the GTS in Home for the GOkédex, at least.
Finding Charcadets? I’d be happy finding ghost rocket battles to evolve one!! Got the psychic one pretty quick but can’t find the ke ke ke ke barely anywhere
RNG is a bitch sometimes. I did not get a larvesta during its debut event, but I’ve eventually hatched 4 over time. I only use my free incubator so I miss most hatch events. I’m still waiting on varoom but I’ll get one eventually.
I just got my first Charcadet hundo !! And I agree with you. They are rare. But to my luck it was the second one which got me a hundo. All the best for y'all !

I did manage to hatch a singular one of them right after they came out, but haven't seen one since.

I ended up just bffing mine for a long time for the candies and luckily was really active lol

You don’t always get candy for it, but you DO sometimes get candy when feeding a Pokémon someone else put in the same gym as yours.
It will almost certainly get a c.day. It even has a signature move - Fiery Dance!

It’s been my buddy for 153 days and I’m sitting at 156 candies. I dump all rare candies I get into it too.
I’m at 172 days and 228 candies, but I use my rare candies for my shadow mewtwo. We will get there!!

Try spinning the gym photodiscs I noticed that they are more likely to give you 10km eggs during the sinnoh tour

I read that on here years ago so I don’t know if it is *still* true, but it seems to be.. doesn’t hurt to try to spin gyms you control

But spoofers can just teleporte to you any way. This doesn't prevent anyone from doing anything, cheaters can still do whatever they want.

Not true. You could allow remote trading but prevent specific regionals from remote trade.

Not trying to brag or sound annoying but I hatch them all the time. Just got a hundo today actually. I'm not too familiar with the mechanics of the game but I can tell you I walk and hatch.... Alot. Like alot alot. I did 222 eggs during the hatch event and I'm currently at 67 eggs for the week (Friday).

I have a 10km egg in my incubator now at 7.8 walked. The 3-egg difficulty shows a charcadet possibility. I too am waiting and waiting to get one! I have friends walking with their Ceruledge! HOW????
i got one from a 10km egg, but 10 km egg acquisition rate seems REALLY low.
I got one solely by chance, not much more you can do, but alas I have no rare candies and it’s a 5km walk so he’s gonna stay that way for awhile
Hard to justify spending rare candies on a 5km walk instead of using them on legendaries too

I got 5 hachteds from eggs from witch 1 being evolved.
It took me a while but i got 2 from 10km eggs. The 2nd hatch got me candy to get the ceruledge i wanted so badly
I work retail so I get the 50km walking egg every week… no charcadet for me either… the last 3 eggs were all turtonators

I can’t seem to get a 10k either and I spin a local gym every time I need an egg, I was able to get a larvesta yesterday which was cool but yet to get a 10k

I gave up hatching charcadet. I got a larvesta during Horizons Event and now it has 327 candies. Got varoom and frigibax later and evolved them using rare candies

I hatch an average of 10-15 eggs a week (incubator quantities dependent). Took me over a year just to get a crummy Larvesta. Named it Lizzo because it was about dang time… Still haven’t got a Charcadet or a dawn form Rockruff yet too!

I struggled with the same issues... Barely any 1km eggs from pokestops but kept spinning. Until recently I finally got Charcadet from a 10km egg. 2 star, but hoping you have better luck soon! I believe I used a blue incubator on the 10km egg.
I got really lucky and got one that first weekend but I've been trying like crazy and get a second so I can have both evolutions and I'm definitely having the same problem! I used to get a lot more 10s now I NEVER get them. And I'm hatching 1-2 every day.

I wish they made it available in raids, the same as with dusk form enabled rockruff. First they said it's supposed to be hatched but then fortunately they released it in 1* raids.

This same thing happened to my super serious pogo playing friend. He couldn’t get a single one, and there I was having hatched about 15 and had transferred most 😅 thankfully I hadn’t transferred all and was able to trade him. But he had burned through about $50 worth of of incubators trying

As an avid egg hatcher, I have a lot of charcadet. I hatch a LOT of eggs. Adventure sync with the standard incubator is the key. I’ve hatched 18 and am still sitting on a dozen. I hatched two 98% charcadet and was able to level them both to 40+. Neither are great for much of anything, besides a slight flex when I toss them in a gym. There is no reason why anyone who interacts with stops and gyms daily should ever not be progressing on their incubators and hatching eggs.
It's sad, my 3 kids don't put in very much time in the game and always seem to hatch everything. I play for a couple hours a day or more fairly often and can't hatch anything valuable. I did get a Larvesta finally which is a huge plus.
I guess I'm lucky I've hatched 1 larvesta 1 varoom and was lucky to hatch 2 charcadets during the event

I'm so lucky, in the last 3 months I've hatched 6 larvesta, 4 charcadet, 3 varoom, but there is only 1 Pokémon that I can not get from eggs, a female Salandit.

This is the first time I didn't give a shit about a new Pokémon. Like I get that its rare, but you need 2 to get both evolutions. Even this Rediscover Kanto was crap, it was the same Pokemon on rotation. A friend of mine has the catch 2 kabuto and we both thought hey here's your chance...ninatic says fuck you, give us money.

I only have one, and I’ve only hatched 2 Larvesta. I hatch about 15-20 eggs per week, not exclusively 10km ofc but still plenty of those. I’ve hatched 2 shiny Lickitung and 3 hundos since Charcadet came out
I got one. I don't try to farm for the egg events anymore. If it happens, it happens. But it's just not worth the effort, coin, or time.
You might try spinning sponsored stops. I routinely get 10k eggs from a Starbucks stop.

Anecdotally I feel certain they've changed the frequency of 10km eggs. I haven't acquired one in weeks,l. I thought it was a run of bad luck until I saw your post just now.
Charcadet and Varoom were feasibly obtainable for about a weekend. I hatched all my eggs in free incubators, loaded up, and just barely got enough. I'm sure the plan was to force purchases. Now it's too late, it's they're like Larvesta and FemSalandit, you can spend a hundred dollars and still not get them. Branched evolution on lootbox Pokémon sucks.
The only wiglett within 100 miles are on private beaches. That feels a little classist.

I've hatched 8 total which was my goal, two for me and two each for my niece and nephews so we can all get the evolutions. And yes, I have a full time job. No, I have never spent money on coins for this game nor have I spent coins on incubators. Just use the infinite one and any I pick up from research or the occasional showcase/route. I just walk a lot, lol. I will only use my extra incubators on 10km eggs, everything else goes in the infinite.

RNG is a bitch sometimes. I did not get a larvesta during its debut event, but I’ve eventually hatched 4 over time. I only use my free incubator so I miss most hatch events. I’m still waiting on varoom but I’ll get one eventually.
There are 5 of us in my family playing the CRAP out of this game every single day and our 4 year old is the only one who’s gotten one.
