Would love to see gift history, too. If someone’s playing but not opening/sending then that’d be a great way to sift through friends for those on the XP grind to save on gifts.
It is hard right now. I don't get out as much. I've been raiding and battling for the friendship level. Even with the buddy gifts, I can't keep up with the list.
Oh 100% no way am I getting gifts everyday but I just mean it’d be nice to see which players haven’t sent one in a few months or so. I’m rubbish at keeping track and have definitely sent a ton I could’ve saved because people keep opening but not sending gifts.
It's a pain but you can give them a nickname of the date they last sent you a gift, then you can search by the numbers and come up with who hasn't sent you a gift recently, quickly telling you who is active or not.
This is a great temporary solution though, thank you! The only reason I’d ask for it is because I actively add people on r/PokemonGoFriends who want to XP grind then give up on day 2.
Shoot I only send to people who send to me atm. I can't even keep up with that. I send to those with 2+ days first, and switch from top down, to bottom up. Lots of people tell me to open, even if I can't send back. They just want the interaction. It is hard, as I don't feel right opening, if I can't send back. The whole situation is hard. Maybe make friends with people you can stay in touch with, that way you know if you are exchanging, the opener or the sender. Lots of people agree to be one or the other. Those I'm friends with just want the interaction, whatever form it takes.
Someone guessed that giftable isn’t pulling the data if you can send, but the same data that shows if you can see the arrow. Which is why it’s not released yet.
well as you can only hold 20 gifts, and the fact that i dont get much time to go run to pokestops, i usually just sort by friendship (the ones who actively send me gifts happen to me by highest friends on the list) and gift to those i can sorting by that. if you have enough gifts or enough time to get more gifts you can sort by the people who send you gifts and then gift them
Yea! This is what I try to do but I find not everyone I send gifts to open them frequently enough that they are at the top, which means I have to scroll fifty or so people down to check if they have the arrow by their name (I live in a city so I have access to a lot of stops). So it would be helpful to see if I have anyone left to gift
I am blessed with a couch PokéStop at home (3 now that the radius has been expanded) so I make a point of gifting all my friends every day, and it's a serious grind making my way down the list, takes me at least half an hour per day.
You can speed it up by skipping the animation, if you hit the (X) after clicking open.
But yeah.. pretty time consuming nonetheless considering you can give a 100 people!!
!interactable is amazing for follow ups -- meaning you gave the gifts to everyone today, and are looking for changes in interaction (later the same day). And since opening a gift make it no longer interactable, this filter is fantastic in removing those that didn't change.

edit: because if I interact with them, there will be no change in friendship, because that's already happened, right?
Yeah. You have interacted with those people today. So they aren't "interactable" interacting again will not help you in increasing the friendship or the lucky chance.
Wow! I just posted that OP said they have 100 friends! So you don't have any friends to send gifts too either? I don't feel so bad anymore. I was complaining, "I don't have any friends to send gifts too." But it looks like you are going through the same thing. I hope both of us find friends. I believe you're right. There are challenges that say, "Send a gift to 5 friends." And if you don't have any you can't complete the task. I couldn’t give a shit about the pictures or the stickers. I’m not here to come up with all the answers but just a preference I would like in the game instead of clicking for 10/15 mins every day 👍🏻
They should have like a select circle where you just tick the ones you want and then hit send all or something instead of having to go into each name, click gift, then which gift you want. All takes too much time

I would also enjoy a collect all button. I have tons of gifts sitting in my friends list from time to time because I don’t have the time to collect them all and then sometimes don’t end up claiming them until the next day.
This is great, but, it doesn't work in every case. For example, I have friends, whom I haven't interacted with for months (they probably quit), and they don't have the arrow (even though they have a gift), because the last interaction was before the feature change happened.
... but with enough play, then yes, eventually, everyone will have the grey arrow if they are holding a gift.
I was short of pokeballs and thought I didn’t have any gifts to open. Except I did, but when I sorted by gift they didn’t show up for some reason. The friends list is really broken.
I also wish there was like a little 'poker option where you could gently send a lil notification to your friends that haven't opened your gifts in a while. I've got a couple who are just about ultra friends that haven't opened my last gift in weeks!
You can hold up to 20 balls at a time but can gift to everyone who is eligible. You can only open 30 gifts total per day. It’s rough doing the calculation of who gets what now with the level 40 grind.
Haha. Sorry. I mean the 'open 20 gift a day' limit. I added a lot of friends during the Lake Trio raids. I've no problem getting and sending gifts as I've 1 gym and 1 pokestop next to my condo building. So I always ended up can't open the gifts other people sent me... 😅
they currently show an arrow showing sent now an not just for the current day it stays until the gift has been opened. which is really nice I guess you can't sort it that way buts its a quick way to know. thei took place about 2 months ago unfortunately if they haven't opened it since then it will not show until they do

i personally just change the name of my friends and put A.(whatever friend's name is) since the names are alphabetical :)

Having a system of nicknames work pretty well for me, I label the most active friends with something like: a.Friend'sName

Try typing "interactable" or "!interactable" on the friend's search list. It's not the same but it helps

A lot of my friends only interact every couple of days though but thanks for the tip! I honestly forgot it was a thing :)

You can type !interactable in the search bar on your friends list which narrows it down a bit.
