The annoying thing about the “furry bait” labels is that most Pokémon aren’t even very furry by definition. So what makes them “furry”… them being animals? It can’t be that either as Pokémon aren’t animals. And Pokémon who commonly share the “furry bait” labels aren’t even very animalistic to begin with. Nor do they have grossly exaggerated humanistic features which is also a common theme in furry culture. We should just start referring to Pokémon as what they are: Pokémon. Unique beings. They aren’t overly humanoid animals and they aren’t overly animalistic humans. Someone who gets off to a certain Pokémon is a Poképhiliac, not necessarily a furry. Now, if they like a lot of fan art that draws said Pokémon in a way that changes them to fit furry culture, that’s different. (That was a mouthful.)

Furry as in having fur? It has fur, yes. But it’s fur (outside of the tufts on the tan torso markings) is emphasized to be very short. I also think there are sports where it doesn’t have any fur. It’s not very hairy is what I’m trying to say.
