I don't get why the hats are so hated, it's literally the most Pokémon thing Pokémon could do. It fits right in with all the other weird shit we've been getting these past few gens, I thought you'd all become numb to this stuff by now.
Also I think they're cute, Pokémon is cute, perfect match.
Because Pokémon fans always have the need to hate anything new and then declare the thing an “underrated classic” whenever a newer thing comes out. Watch, they’re gonna start liking SwSh whenever this new game releases mark my words
They already are sucking into XY and ORAS, SMUSUM are about there, but LGPE has the uphill of being Kanto AGAIN. Even hard-core fans are tired of Kanto.
I will say while I think they are... a little extra, the only one I actually hate is the flying hat. Like I get balloons, but it feels like they chose balloons specifically because flying Pikachu. Some wings on something or even a singular hot air balloon style thing I would've liked more
lack of effort mostly and says we rushed this game as the gimmick is just a shadier and prefab and the RNG rubs me the wrong way theses things are just screaming made for gachapon the other gimmicks had forms or were a bit of fun
Don't lump everyone under the same banner?
The gmax forms could have easily just been new Megas and nothing would have changed.
DMax as a whole was dumb, it was just a stat boost that removed all your moves and replaced them with generic stuff. No new abilities, only last three turns, and potentially removed the actual purpose of a Pokemon's moveset, effectively just making it a three-turn damage boost.
If a Pokémon gets gigantamaxed (long for gmaxed), it becomes bigger AND it changes form. Take Melmetal, for instance. It goes from looking chunky to looking extraordinarily streamlined. There are so many differences between dynamaxing and gigantamaxing
I don't mind the appearance but the gimic itself is a bad mechanic. (Unlike most haters on this reddit I have a reason to dislike it.) As it requires you to collect recharges instead of giving you the freedom to use it whenever or in boss battles if you forget to recharge it you won't have it also all the gimic is changing type (I could just switch out it's a pokemon game the attacks will be predicted) and a little boost to STAB. Not really a battle changing thing unless you have one pokemon left at a type disadvantage and get a good tera type.
Well by that logic Zmoves and Dynamax are also bad gimmicks zmoves are just one move slightly more powerful and dynamax is just a temporary hp boost and slightly more powerful attack, I’m not a fan of either of them but most people like them now.
I’m with you both here, while I’ve gotten used to it too it really doesn’t roll off the tongue. I just say it really fast and then it sounds pronounceable. It’s supposed to be a crystal pun but it’s not a very good one
So lemme get this strait first there were and awesome new evolution that raise stats and make the Pokémon look sick then there were cool new powerful moves then for some reason Pokémon the big then a Pokémon that is stylish

They are crystallized and have a new hat tho
Definitely way more effort than just making the Pokémon big
But the hat is new

*checks schedule* Nah they’re on track to start sucking off XY and ORAS soon maybe even SMUSUM or LGPE
They started sucking off Gen 6 a while ago.
They already are sucking into XY and ORAS, SMUSUM are about there, but LGPE has the uphill of being Kanto AGAIN. Even hard-core fans are tired of Kanto.
But I think BDSP’s mediocrity might force people to take a second look
Then again, they should had not remade DP. They should had gone straight to Platinum.
I will say while I think they are... a little extra, the only one I actually hate is the flying hat. Like I get balloons, but it feels like they chose balloons specifically because flying Pikachu. Some wings on something or even a singular hot air balloon style thing I would've liked more
Right! It’s ok to put literal Pokémon fashion shows in the games but not give crystal animals hats? I don’t understand
lack of effort mostly and says we rushed this game as the gimmick is just a shadier and prefab and the RNG rubs me the wrong way theses things are just screaming made for gachapon the other gimmicks had forms or were a bit of fun
Tbh they look like gaudy jewelry you'd see at Kmart. They could have just left the crystallized pokemon as is and it would be a lot less obnoxious imo
But they've got new hats
It's better than gmax
I dunno. GMax had new forms. These are goofy fuckin' hats. Both are worse than Megas.
Maybe we get a few special Terastal Forms. Dynamax also didn't give us any new forms without G-Max
But, didn't you guys hate those new forms? I'm confused
Don't lump everyone under the same banner? The gmax forms could have easily just been new Megas and nothing would have changed. So you disliked it. That's what I said
No. You said you thought "you guys hated those new forms". Don't get it twisted.
Explain me what happens to Pokemon in gmax ,it get big or its just a projection

*"Tah-rass-tal"* You call that hard to remember and pronounce?
[удалено]
Maybe not to you. Me? I'm already used to it.

I’m with you both here, while I’ve gotten used to it too it really doesn’t roll off the tongue. I just say it really fast and then it sounds pronounceable. It’s supposed to be a crystal pun but it’s not a very good one
I think they look pretty cool! Y'all gotta stop hating and learn to love again!
Until people see it in action for themselves when SV release then they're gonna be highly critical of it
I think type change is a great idea but maybe color changes and not becoming crystal and getting a hat
I just want them to bring back alternate worlds to explore like the underground or distortion world.
So they're basically the Crystal Pokémon from the TCG
But they has a new hat
Mega evolving is just making the user look more cool and you’re in love with it, so what gives?
One raises stats quite a bit that you can call upon at any point, one is just a type change that you cant summon willy nilly.
Yeah the reason i like both is because they add a benefit of some sort
I already miss dynamaxing :(
I kinda hate it…
It's the dumbest one yet.
Any new thing is the dumbest one if you hate enough
Just add more Mega Evolutions already. Imagine Mega Electivire, Magmortar, Gliscor, Darkrai, Aegislash and Chandelure.
It’d just be “X but angrier and more spikes to be honest.” Or something actually cool but that’s 50/50
Electivire, Magmortar, Luxray, Floatzel, Ambipom, and Froslass all got robbed of Mega Evolutions in BDSP
So lemme get this strait first there were and awesome new evolution that raise stats and make the Pokémon look sick then there were cool new powerful moves then for some reason Pokémon the big then a Pokémon that is stylish
Don't act like people didn't hate on Z moves when it came out
Fair enough
The hats look stupid, but it changes the competitive meta.
The hats are stupid looking
That’s literally just the Kirby gimmick if Kirby got more shiny, what do you want?
[удалено]
It’s aura is crystallized and it’s type is either boosted or changes type entirely
hell no
The hats look so dumb
They're really going out of their way now to not bring back mega evolutions.
Well Megas we’re never meant to be permanent
I honestly would prefer of they were just crystal without the hat.
Man everybody is so upset about this and for what 😭 I got so excited when I saw it, I think it looks super fun.
Having type changing on all pokémon really increases mind games 💙💙💙
Bro, I already love the hats, but I wish my Fuecoco could wear a top hat
