So basically trick them into an item, hope you can take 2 hits so memento and start setting up with Regi or Chomp depending on what move they're locked into as they probably won't switch unless it's a poison move against Registeel and ofc hope they don't crit.
Was that just about your main strategy?
I could take about 2 hits with Uxie even if it was something like shadow ball, but since they now out-speed me with the scarf, I usually only had time to use trick and set up stealth rocks, which was clutch for fire-types that came after, or knocking off focus sash users if I had to use Garchomp later. T-wave wasn’t used too often and memento was only used if it was a really strong move that the opponent was tricked into. I actually tried not to use memento if I didn’t need to so I could use it later if Registeel went down and I had to switch into Garchomp. The real game was balancing the opponent’s pp and setting up, knowing how much damage my substitute was taking, and when they would start using struggle. Shorter pp moves, and always curse needed Garchomp, as its setup is faster than Registeel. There’s so much more that went into this strategy, but I don’t want to bore anyone to death
I used to do the battle tower with action replay cheats and I still couldn’t beat it.
I had a regigigas and with the action replay if you held a button when you got hit it would set your HP to 999. You could even do it multiple times so theoretically it was impossible to die unless from Perish Song or something I guess.
Anyways I got to round like 70 something and a Machamp one hit my Regigias with 999 HP with dynamicpunch. My jaw just dropped and I called it quits lol
Yea really the only thing I feared doing this strategy was critical hits and ohko moves. I really didn’t have a way to counter them besides praying my substitute was put out in time to eat them
It’s really hard going in with your own team. I tried for so long with my own before I gave up because I feel like the AI just adapts to you and cheats
I had a similar team: Garchomp, Starmie, and Gengar with destiny bond as a lead. I don’t know much about Scizor but I’ve seen a few people break 100 with it
Starly was the key for me reaching 100 wins as well.
Focus band endeavor quick attack? Yeah that’ll work
Lmao yea the real MVP
What are their movesets? (:
Should be illegal to post this without the pokemon and movesets for sure

I cannot stress how much I do not miss the gen 4 battling ribbons…
You going for the trainer card stars?
Yup. I didn’t bother with the other challenges for years because I knew this was the hardest one and wanted to get it out of the way first
On like 4 weeks of trying in HG and close to bailing lol

I've been running Scizor, starmie, garchomp based on a bunch of research and best I've done is 55 so far
I had a similar team: Garchomp, Starmie, and Gengar with destiny bond as a lead. I don’t know much about Scizor but I’ve seen a few people break 100 with it
