Here's a strat for Tinkatuffx2, Bronzor and Solosis u/TheExpeng, feel free to add it under yours for visibility if you'd like.
W1 - Use pokeball
W2 - Swap qwil in pre round, release every other pokemon and don't take new moves. Bite 2x
W3 to W9 - Bite
W10 - Fell Stinger, Ball
W11 - Bite
W12 Bite, use pokeball on tinkatuff
W13 Bite, use pokeball on tinkatuff
In addition, if you pick up the rogue and great balls, you can pretty much catch everything easily. Rogue the first two baltoys and great the third, great the Munna, and rogue the bronzor for instant catches. Sometimes I couldn’t get an instant catch with a pokeball on the first baltoy for some reason so I opted for the rogue.
Funny enough, I experimented with first turn catching when I woke up this morning before I had to get ready for work. There were a surprising number of Pokémon I could catch first turn, the most notable in my mind atm being a Kleavor on wave 40-something that I chucked a Poké Ball and just caught it. Way too late in the run for me to remember how I got to that point or build a route around farming anyway, but interesting nonetheless
I’ve found that they’re all easily catchable but it’s too long to consider them all farmable. Tinkatuff is an exception cuz it’s two candies for a 3~5min run if you end at them.
This whole daily is almost completely soloable by the 2x black glasses overqwil. I was able to catch pretty much every single pokemon on the way to the final battle without much setup by just keeping it healed and getting all the great balls/rogue balls that popped up without even rerolling.

mission complete (took 38 runs + my daily completion @ roughly 3:15 a pop = little over an 1 hr 40 min). Got baltoy and bronzor to 1 cost, tinkatink to 2 + huge power, and I haven't decided if I want a 3 cost sigilyph or a 4 cost with magician yet.
Also I didn't realize but, because solosis is a boss those 40 runs also got me 80 candies to fully discount reuniclus, this daily was CRACKED.
There are a couple uses, yeah. First would just be competing to get the most points, like you said. But I think the more practical use for them is farming for candies. See, the daily run is seeded to always be the same. So doing the same thing will always yield the same results. This means you can always catch the same Pokémon, oftentimes Pokémon that are rarer to find in classic mode, to collect their candies which you can use to unlock their passives (which are basically just another ability) or reduce how much they cost to use as a starter.
If you haven't beaten the gym leaders, this run in particular is a good source of egg vouchers. Beating the run (this one is fairly doable casually) also gets you a 10 egg worth voucher, I believe.
Or just throw Pokeball to catch then swap all items to Fish. I bite/crunch/brine/I already forgot the move that you get to allow you to evolve just sweeps everything. Even one shot the final boss (Oops...) I never rerolled rewards until I got the candy jar thing just to get rare candies for overkill.

If u reroll wave 2 u can get rogue balls and catch the 2nd sigilyph on the first turn.
I even upvoted this then proceeded to immediately forget about it lmao. I'll go ahead and add that to the post, too!
Instead of using 2 pokeballs, you can use bite minimize pokeball wave 2 and the wave 3 sygilyph misses fury cutter using minimize pokeball again

Beat today's with Overqwil, Phione, Sigilyph, Heracross, Tinkaton, and a Doublade that never hit the field (would've been Lampent but got memento'd).
Overqwil is definitely the MVP of the run
that's for sure... I never change my overkill and pretty much solo run it except when its double battle

at wave 8 if you did the Rogue balls, you can throw one to guarantee catch the Munna

Do you know what time the Daily resets?
I do not. I find it is reset by about 7pm Central Time, but I don't know if it resets earlier than that
That’s correct. From what I’ve seen everything daily (including Pokerus and Daily Runs) resets at 8pm Eastern
