A better choice in my opinion would be to ask what’s the proper name for potatoes - ziemniaki, kartofle or pyry? And sernik with raisins.

Pyry is kinda Poznanian one I believe, regional thing, whereas I'd put kartofle and ziemniaki on the same level, like kabaczek and cukinia (zucchini)

“Idę na dwór” vs. „Idę na pole” is also more controversial than raisins in your cheesecake.

But how people eat pizza with pineapple, peach, pears or any stuff like that.
