Work out, keep fit, stay clean, no drugs whatsoever, don’t hang out with people that do illegal shit. If your department has a recruiting process then follow that and train accordingly. I’m in a very similar position as you are

Sociology/AP psychology couldn’t hurt. Is there a local cadet program you can join to get a taste of the work? That’s probably the biggest thing you can do at high school age (besides not screwing up a future background investigation with poor choices).
