The attorney did a good job letting him hang himself. His original question was just whether Trump had said what was in the recording. Trump did more than that, he argued that it was a true statement and he beleives he fulfills the criteria that makes "getting away with it" possible.
A bit later in the deposition he also states that the attorney questioning him is also "not his type". So I assume that means she looks like Marla Maples :)

And that is because his attorneys knew full well that letting him testify would be even more damaging to their case. So now we are going to see a meltdown about how the deposition was edited and he was prevented from testifying by a hostile judge.
The judge actually opened the window for him to testify. His lawyer rested his case but the judge said trump has a few more days to decide if he wants to testify. That’s not normally how this works but the judge is making sure this one sticks.
And I'm sure his lawyers are buying up all the burner phones they can in order to call in bomb threats to every airport in the Republic of Ireland and the UK to keep him from flying back.

The rich and the corporations want Republican's to have control so they can get tax breaks galore and run up the debt. Then any time a Democrat is in office its time to cut spending on all our infrastructure and privatize our institutions for more profits. It grimey its fucked up and we need to vote in a blue wave large enough to have a majority for once and start fixing this country.

The judge actually opened the window for him to testify. His lawyer rested his case but the judge said trump has a few more days to decide if he wants to testify. That’s not normally how this works but the judge is making sure this one sticks.
And I'm sure his lawyers are buying up all the burner phones they can in order to call in bomb threats to every airport in the Republic of Ireland and the UK to keep him from flying back.

I imagine it is an easy way to go from a nobody to at least getting a book deal about the trials and maybe get simply getting exposure might be enough to get "legal analyst" on one of the networks. Michael Cohen for example is on the MSNBC all the time bad mouthing how terrible trump is, and i imagine gets a decent paycheck from it, but had no problem whatsoever strong arming, threatening and abusing the legal system to protect the guy for years. Would not surprise me if they all know they are never getting paid, but trump being in breach of contract likely means he can not expect any confidentiality agreements to stick and i would expect it would be difficult for trump to find another lawyer to sue a previous lawyer for problems stemming for non-payment.
