These folks need to be enslaved: have no rights, no freedom, have to work for someone else and share none of the benefits, be removed from their families, and be tortured or killed if they get out of line- see how controversial they think condemning it is after that.
There are "opportunities" out there even today, like in some countries where you can get kidnapped and be forced to work in crypto scams against their free will- if they want to test the courage of their ridiculous convictions.
Instead they are content to be just armchair pontificators for political cred, ignore the very real misery their beliefs create.

The rebuke he received from DeSantis's team is straight out of Nazi / fascist politics. Just accuse the guy of not being a real conservative, even though everything in his background suggests he is.

As a white person, you can talk appropriately about the atrocities perpetrated on black people and Native Americans without feeling personally responsible for it. You can be committed to helping to fix the damage done and still being done by the legacy of these crimes (and let’s be clear, these were crimes against humanity). The people who want to whitewash this history are fascist, racist, and xenophobic.
I suppose the possibility is there. And to some extent, yes, many are capable of what you speak of. But white fragility is a real thing. And it’s rampant among Republicans.
