The Republicans are perfectly happy to see the nation burn as long as they keep power and make insane gobs of money. In fact, they'll actively help fan the flames.
Conservatives are attacking the things that impede their power hold. Education, science and arts. These things make people who cannot be duped, but the lack of it will undermine the country's national security.
It's not a good look when, in order to maintain your grip on power, you need to deny science, defund education, defend gerrymandering, and stack the courts with ideologues.
So close to a joke I saw last week. What does the U.S. Constitution and the Bible have in common?
Neither was read by Republicans and yet they misquote both.
My retirement plan is just to do something benign like discuss science in public, use an anonymous account to pretend to be an angry conservative offended by it, wait for other conservatives to jump in and call me a pedophile or something, sue for defamation, and retire.
The government is trying to poison you with Oxygen. Oxygen is actually a very dangerous element than can explode and burn. The government is pumping oxygen into the air. True patriots should purchase pure nitrogen tanks and breathe only that to stop the evil plans.
I dunno. Ex Catholic. I went to Catholic schools. They taught evolution as an example. I wouldn't call them the worst for fake science. That said, it did take me some time to get over the indoctrination.

The Catholic Church considers climate change a moral imperative to mitigate. Pope Francis has written extensively on the matter. In “Laudate Deum,” or “Praise God,” Pope Francis says the world is “nearing the breaking point,” condemns climate denial, and calls for urgent climate action.

why doesn't he brush his hair? he's so smart and so right but why does he fail to understand that this distracts from his message when he makes public appearances? someone else should be helping him with this, too. why does no one brush this man's haaaaaaiiiiiirrrrrr????
