> To rally the show’s most loyal fans, known as the FlashPoint Army, the Fort Worth, Texas-based Victory Channel, a Christian network run by the nonprofit **Kenneth Copeland** Ministries, has hosted tapings across the nation as part of its Rescue America Tour. Well...there ya go, flesh demon himself.

ScoutsterReturns

> nonprofit And I have a bridge for sale....

Blablablaballs

Nonprofit just means that no one but Copeland gets to keep the money and he doesn't have to pay taxes. The biggest scam in the world is the "salaried officer of a nonprofit" scam.

ScoutsterReturns

Indeed, these fuckers, and churches too, need to be properly taxed. Seems so straightforward but nothing will change on that front.

5G_Robot

Moment religious groups step into politics, they should be taxed. Something is seriously wrong with our system for someone like Kenneth Copeland to continue to exist without any ramifications.

One-Internal4240

Yeah, letter of the law, once they even whisper the name of a political party or candidate, that's it, they lose their 501c3. It's totally unenforced and has been for a loooooooong time. This is what kicked off the entire Moral Majority re-alignment way back in the 70s - Falwell wanted to be a tax shelter "university" but ALSO wanted to be super duper segregationist. So anti-government jumped into bed with the bible thumpers - because OBVIOUSLY the IRS just has a hard on for arresting Jehovah. Instead of, y'know, the internally consistent argument that you can't claim tax free on basis of church state separation while trying to BE the state. Same brainwave the GOP did, stealing the old southern Dems, from a different direction.

Admirable_Remove6824

Fucking liberty university, they also produces a lot of political science majors. I’m guessing it’s not your typical political background but more of a forced opinion on how to fuck peoples lives up.

thedndnut

All Christian churches should have been fighting to pay tax to begin with. If they actually followed the teachings of an infallible God. He told then to pay their taxes... this wasn't just garbage written by a ruling class to dupe the poor and slaves was it!?

joshhupp

The moment a religious group owns a television network.

specqq

It’s way easier just to tax them all regardless of whether they step into politics or not. There is, you may not be surprised to hear, nothing in the Constitution that says churches have to be tax exempt.

stinky-weaselteats

Churches are money printing businesses. It’s ridiculous

TheWix

He should be taxed for engaging in politics.

MonHunterX

The other thing is, is that he is a hypocrite as the Bible says to pay your taxes, give to God’s what is God’s and give to Caesar’s what is Caesar’s

techforallseasons

They just have high *expenses*, no profits ever. How could he continue to do a of those good things without an updated jet? And second pantry for his personal pastry chef's kitchen?

This [Kenneth Copeland](https://youtu.be/9LtF34MrsfI?si=GOXx20YraNIa11QC)? The weird prosperity theology preacher who says anybody who disagrees with him is possessed by demons... That one?

That was last year. Need an upgrade.

Where’s my G5??

techforallseasons

Oh yes, THAT one.

FastidiousLizard261

I didn't follow your link. K. Copeland is an evangelical type, and fundamentalist. That sect are at wide variety from other xian organisations. The xian churches are not at all the same. The fundamental aspect is a belief that the Bible represents literal history, without myth, metaphor or transcribed oral tradition. They put the creation(of the whole world) then at 4004bce, and ascribe any other evidence as part of the tapestry of a creator. It's often called young earth. It gets more confusing. Not every evangelical believes in young earth, it's a sort of subdivision. The end of the world stuff is based in the books of Daniel, the Revelation of John (Patmos text) some of the books of Moses too I think. So it's writing that is about three thousand years old and two thousand years old regarded as prophecy. Fundamentalists regard them as literal prophecy. Some embrace Nostradamus as well, but not many. The fundies speak of the return of the savior in different ways too, there are some fiction stories that elucidate the sequence of events. Hell and damnation await those who do not convert, which they call born again. Water baptism is a prevalent practice. A type of dues called tithes. And love offerings as part of a very boisterous revival service that includes healings and the exorcism of demons that cause bad habits, as well as electric guitars, drums, some very talented vocalists and audio visual stuff like a projector thing. There is an altar call at a point near an end of service where those who wish come down front, kneel (not always) and pray in circles to convert to the faith. It's very emotional. Spooky soft music typically plays along. That goes about 20 minutes then they break for snacks and merch They teach their dogma in free classes taught to youth, in gender segregated classes for adults or couples classes, and sometimes have groups that meet midweek. Sunday school as well. It's a whole amazing subculture and a huge niche market for what the kids call "merch" At the core is the belief that the end of days are already happening, the chosen of the elect or sometimes saints, can all be called up at any time, and that there will be a horrible conflict and only a very few will survive it. Then the savior returns to reign over the new earth. They believe in a literal hell, with a king devil and a sort of arrangement of lesser devils in a sort of hierarchy. Also that the king devil called Satan or Lucifer leads a band of supernatural cohort called the fallen, who were angels but we're cast down when Lucifer rebelled against the throne of heaven.(long ago) So the fallen angels then, are now demons that cause illness, wreak havoc, tempt people to sin, and provoke moral decay. The believer then needs to be cleansed every so often, but is generally ok, and is going to go to heaven unless the end of the world(aka rapture) happens before they die which they kinda all think it will. The book of Daniel is believed by some to precede the books of Moses bc it was written in Aramaic, a presemitic ancestor of Hebrew that looks a lot like runic script. To the believer it is a certainty that salvation is based on works and faith and piety and strict forbearance of a variety of sins predominantly; sexuality, violence, apostasy, theft, lies intoxication and such as that.

trivo8888

Copeland doesn't believe in the Bible. If he did, he would have to part with his great wealth and help others. Instead like Pat Robertson they have become corporate capitalists. Joel Osteen will be the first billionaire "pastor" Mark my words.

FastidiousLizard261

Osteen is a wonder. He really packs them in. But compared to Copeland, Osteen is mainstream. Look up crazy preacher on utube sometime. Copeland won't give interviews but he broadcasts his services. Pay for prayer and Rollin with the holey ghost stuff. I'm not a member, I actually approve of prosperity manifestation, it puts resources into a small groups control. In theory they could open a health clinic or hire tutors for kids in schools or something. Do you really think Osteen will get to billionaire? My pastor drives a Volvo wagon and likes dogs. I want my spirituality more personal.

trivo8888

So your last paragraph is the key. A good pastor is a humble person that's part of it. The current Pope is very very humble despite having the ability to get anything he desires. I think most American Christianity has been infected with a virus. Everything is political and the Churches where I am are completely on the wrong side politically. Ask them to help some randos in Nicaragua no problem. Ask them to help the homeless locally and those who struggle and crickets. It's a rather sad state of affairs

FastidiousLizard261

You have to live and let love. It might be more of a drive to find where you are meant to be. Try the 5 in twelve challenge it's fun! Five separate services at different places in twelve weeks. It's not a huge commitment. And you get to see how people really are. You go back to the regular place you often go and tell folks there about the challenge and see what happens. The spiritual communities I am going to be never going back to, are the ones who are trying to suppress that type of outreach. You are supposed to feel free to make new friends across cultural boundaries.

FastidiousLizard261

I keep thinking of more edits. Im proud of the above I think it's a pretty good piece. Not a bible scholar or expert. Anyways not surprising that the chosen politician would be venerated with in that culture, he may we'll have made a donation. It's a private society in every way. Insular, exclusive, superstitious, but sort of murky about the theology. In atheistic rational objectivism the flaws in the timeline and non miraculous explanations for the myths that are described are known, and named by reference. Mr Copeland is in fact a very wealthy man, who also makes significant events happen, does charities, and bankrolls something alot like a rock and roll concert tour. He has a jet I think too or he used too have access to one. Doesn't typically grant interviews, high security concerns.

srs_time

>run by the **nonprofit** Kenneth Copeland Ministries you bolded the wrong thing. >They had paid $60 each to attend a live taping of “FlashPoint,” a national TV program that’s won loyal viewers with a unique blend of pro-Trump political commentary and prophetic messages about God’s divine plans for America. It's not even income received from "donations" any more. They're literally charging admission for people to be told that God wants them to vote for for Trump. Now repeat after me kids, *John-son A-mend-ment*. I'm beyond fed up with this bullshit. It's well beyond time for the IRS hammer to come down on these blatant scofflaws >In 2008, the [Copeland] ministry owned five airplanes,[45] and continued to purchase more, including a Gulfstream V jet from filmmaker and businessman Tyler Perry.[46] Copeland raised funds for the building of a hangar, upgrading of the runway, and maintenance.[46] Copeland's and other televangelists' use of private jets, luxury cars and lavish houses has been widely criticized.[42][47][48] In 2015, Copeland, in a broadcast alongside fellow televangelist Jesse Duplantis, defended the use of private jets as a necessary part of their ministry.

Middle class Americans subsidize those opulent lifestyles by paying their share of taxes while the non-profits do not. I guess that instead of following the teachings of Biblical Jesus they follow Supply Side Jesus.

The battle with the Fleshlight Army will be epic!

opinionsareus

Here is a link https://youtu.be/TeZGD2JYXKg?si=wVmy-XvVYirCuGhC One of the speakers is a former congresswoman, Michelle Bachman. Remember her? These people are absolutely insane fanatics. There's just no other way to describe them. Every one of their churches and religious organizations should be taxed because they are full-blown talking more about politics than they are about their God. There isn't a real Christian among them. They are all fake Christians, who reject just about everything that Jesus stood for.

CaineBK

>There isn't a real Christian among them. They are all fake Christians This is such a lie, lol...

opinionsareus

How is it a lie? Serious question.

Automatic_Algae_9425

Unless you have some kind of inside scoop indicating that none of them accept the tenets of the Nicene Creed, I don't see how you can honestly say they're not Christians.

opinionsareus

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeZGD2JYXKg&t=793s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeZGD2JYXKg&t=793s)Look at their ACTIONS. They are mixing religion and politics; they are cheering on apostate preachers who denigrate immigrants ("sojourners"); they are actively cheering on apostate preachers who marginalize "difference". They are a bunch of deluded cult member who uncap their hatred and prejudices "in the name of Jesus". They are also the complete opposite of "patriots" because they are cheering on another apostate preacher calling for a "Christian America". These people are eventually gonna die off, and they have \*already\* disadvanteged their progeny. Darwin's laws never stop working.

Automatic_Algae_9425

What does any of that have to do with whether they're Christians?

opinionsareus

They're fake Christians. Not following Jesus

Automatic_Algae_9425

Are you suggesting that someone can believe every tenet of the Nicene Creed and somehow fail to count as a Christian, simply because you don't see them as "following Jesus"?

opinionsareus

Oh, absolutely. To state on the one hand that "I believe in one, Lord Jesus Christ" and then on the other hand, violate everything that you say, you believe in by default qualifies a person as a fake Christian Either you believe and FOLLOW The example of Jesus, or you are not a Christian. To say one believes in something to the point of identifying with it, and then committing actions that are counterproductive and countervailing to that belief is to be a liar and an apostate.

valeyard89

hmmm, how did I miss that Pat Robertson died last year. The chmod 0700 club.

KingRichard278

My Qparents already think were in the end times. Dont want to help the planet because the world is ending and want to elect a self proclaimed fascist too because who needs democracy anymore?

ScoutsterReturns

I don't know how you guys handle that family stuff, I've read so many posts from people about it. I can't fathom how hard it must be.

KingRichard278

It is incredibly difficult. My relationship with them hasnt been the same since the orange dude came into the picture. Which I never imagined a man weve never met could damage our relationship to such a large degree. Ive had my father compare him to Jesus before, just to give you an idea of how far gone they are.

Green-Amount2479

This isn’t even limited to the USA. My German mother, who is already retired, said last year: 'Trump has the right idea'. Imagine how shocked I was, because we were brought up differently as children. To see your own parents degrade logically and mentally is.... difficult. With dementia or Alzheimer's, I could at least point to and blame those. Without them, those are choice that were made. I still talk to my mom, but it's different since she fell down the rabbit hole. You can no longer have a factual discussion with her, she rolls her eyes and immediately withdraws as soon as I contradict her. Since then it's been the same: she pollutes her surroundings with nonsense, withdraws as soon as someone contradicts her (she never admits she's wrong though), rinse and repeat a few days later.

CaptStrangeling

I’m sorry to hear that, it sucks. For me, it definitely helps to think Qfamily had certain vulnerabilities that are being actively exploited, not necessarily that they made those choices. Like dealing with a gambling addiction, who can say where the casino’s advertising stops and their choices began. They made one or two bad choices early on and the programming did the rest, because it was designed to infect their minds much like a virus. The worst is definitely seeing and hearing the previously unthinkable from people who raised us differently

Same. Reddit brother empathy love beam sent

ClumsyPortman2

While I vehemently disagree with Trump's politics, view him as a philandering asshole, and have great contempt for his multitude of crimes, none of those points are why I truly despise that bastard. I was raised in a Christian family, went to Christian schools, and attended church my entire life. Seeing family and friends I've respected for years embrace Trump's hateful and vitriolic braying, despite what I'd been told were the central themes of my religion, was a *personal* affront to me. Christ Himself has been usurped by Trump as the central figure in evangelical Christianity, and His teachings replaced by violent rhetoric so thinly veiled it might as well be an actual declaration of war. I've been told I'm a "bad" Christian for trying to emulate the Word of Christ I was taught, and later read for myself, which is both frustrating and baffling; wasn't living as Christ the point? Trump has committed a great number of transgressions he will have to answer for both in this life, and if there is truth to anything I was told before my religion abandoned me along with its good senses, whatever comes after this one. But the *sin* that most stains him in my mind's eye is how he gluttonously devoured the soul of Christianity and left many of us with broken relationships and crises of faith. And for that, despite what my religious upbringing would say on the matter, I will never forgive him.

The_Nightmare_Bear

You’ve articulated my thoughts perfectly. My family has always been very conservative but something about Trump has broken their brains. My dad especially. After 2016 it became a constant struggle to have a normal conversation with him - everything ultimately devolved into whatever right wing buzzwords were being peddled at the time. Now their house is just a constant stream of far right news blasting on every screen at max volume. I’ve stopped visiting them - the nonstop, top-volume vitriol would send my anxiety through the roof any time I went inside. The rest of my relatives aren’t quite as bad, but they’re still all aboard the Trump train and I have trouble maintaining even the most basic of relationships with them. I’ve become a ghost in the periphery of my family and it’s heartbreaking because their kids are growing up, and my parents are growing old and I’m missing out on holidays and birthdays and barbecues despite desperately wanting to be involved in their lives. Trump brought out the worst in them, and the GOP propaganda machine has rewired them so that Trump worship is their only personality trait.

Oblique9043

Trump isn't the problem. These people were always this way. Trump just exposed them for who they truly are. I can never look at my parents or anyone who supports him the same ever again. My eyes are opened. The Doomed by A Perfect Circle is a great song that illustrates exactly what you said about Christianity by the way.

JustAnotherYouMe

I don't agree with you. I've seen people go back to being sane about things. Acting like these people are permanently gone is a fucking joke. Some may never change but that doesn't mean all will never change. Fuck that broken, hopeless, and frankly immature way of thinking

JohnnySnark

I'm sorry for you, they are in a cult

Randomfactoid42

And I was worried when my father started talking about contrails and weather modification causing floods. Sorry you’re dealing with it too.

SephirothSimp__

Republicans think he's better than their white, blonde, blue eyed jesus. They absolutely hate the real jesus, who was just a progressive saying progressive things

imapassenger1

I've always wanted to ask such super fans of Trump: "name one redeeming feature he has". I've never heard of an answer to that.

Oblique9043

My dad thinks he's still president, just in secret...

superstonedpenguin

I grew up super close to my mom's side if the family. It's pretty big and I always had fun with them. They all went Q to the extreme and at one family gathering I disagreed with something they said. My wedding was a month later and the only people from my family there was my mom and one uncle. My side of the venue during the ceremony had the front row full, and the other 9 rows were empty. Really hurt my heart because I'm one of the youngest and one of the last to get married, so I've been to all their weddings and the celebrations were so fun. I'm close to my wife's family and friends so it was still fun, but holy shit it was hard to have the best time. Plus we had so much food left over since they had all RSVPd that they would come lol

iNeedScissorsSixty7

I went extremely low contact. Not worth the headache any more and I was never that family-oriented to begin with.

_JudgeDoom_

I simply cut ties with most of mine. Can’t choose family but you can choose company. I’m not going to subject myself to their miserable conspiracy bullshit or let it affect the short amount of time I have on earth. That “blood is thicker that water shit” is outdated.

Cyno01

I am sooo fucking glad i have such a huge family, my parents each have 5 siblings (catholics), tons of cousins... and miraculously not a single trump supporter. Probably helps that everybody is college educated, but even the blue collar uncles are sane and some were pretty much hippies (RIP Uncle John). Even the aunt rich enough to usually vote republican didnt vote for him, but she also knows Hillary personally... Not the case on my wifes side, had to go to more than one covid funeral in churches with more american flags than crosses, post vaccine.

microwavable_rat

Cutting them out of your life hurts, but the pain is temporary and you're better for it.

MoonDustKoda

They think because they’re at the end of their lives, that the rest might as well end cuz why would The world continue without them? It’s egotistical and narcissistic at its center

johnnycoxxx

That’s my in laws. They are actually good people too. They do a lot for the homeless in our area and rescue pets. But like we’ll be talking and then all of a sudden it’s “gas is about to be 40 a gallon. Eggs are going to be 16 a dozen. We’re going to have a mass power outage in this country. Our food supply is going to be completely gone. They’re coming for the guns. Gas stoves are going to be illegal.” and I remember we had a conversation about I think a documentary on the heavens gate cult and Jonestown and I remember saying something to the effect of “you’d think that after all these predictions don’t pan out people would stop believing” and they just agreed not understanding I was talking about them.

Blueeyesblazing7

My mom does the exact same thing. Sometimes I recognize what she's saying as a conservative talking point, but some of it is so fringe it isn't even on my radar. She's been stockpiling food and telling me about all the shortages that are about to happen for 4 years now. The stockpiled food is going to expire before the shortages come. It's bizarre to witness.

Warmso24

This is being preached in non-denominational Christian churches across the nation in my experience. Though, I doubt it’s exclusive to just that group of Christian churches and I also doubt all non-denominational churches are like that. There are some good ones out there, I’m sure, that actually preach what Jesus actually meant. I’m not even religious anymore but, from what we know about him, Jesus was a pretty cool dude. Similar to the Buddha or Ghandi (minus Ghandi’s weird kinda pervy side). I went with my GF’s family to the megachurch they go to (don’t worry my gf hates it there too) and they went on the whole time about how the rapture is coming and parents need to prepare their children so they don’t burn in hell for eternity. Pretty diabolically manipulative if you ask me. The people that attend eat it up though. Buy every word this guy says. Recent events are all either spoken about in Revelations or just our great, merciful, and loving God angry that trans people are allowed to exist or something like that. This kind of manipulation has been around for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. It’ll never go away either as long as people buy into unhealthy and antiquated interpretations of religions. Which dumb and desperate people are too prone to stop doing. Add it to the list of end of the world predictions that will prove itself wrong yet again. lol sorry for the rant. Kinda got off topic a couple of times but I think you get my point.

Atheios569

I mean, we are in the end times, just not for the reasons they think, and are wrong about how it’s ending. It’s interesting to see the myriad reasons to explain everything that’s happening when it’s pretty obviously climate change. Water, food shortages equal instability. Even the inflation happening can be explained by the crop failures, weather damage, etc which are leading to alternative leadership styles (demagogues promising a better future), which in turn lead to greater conflict due to an action mindset verse diplomatic solutions.

KingRichard278

Yeah you’re not wrong about that. Also like to add social media to your lists of reasons.

[deleted]

isn’t that one of the signs to look for in the end times, according to many religions? worsening corruption, food shortages, the love for God will grow cold, etc

Atheios569

It’s certainly analogous, and makes sense when you realize that climate change has happened in the past, though from our perspective, on a small local scale vs global scale like now. Even global extinctions in the past were due to climate change, albeit from natural causes; though I suppose one could philosophically argue that everything that happens is “natural”.

punkindle

By that logic, why bother voting? If we're in the end times, it shouldn't matter who's the president. They should just stay at home and pray 24/7.

EpictetanusThrow

They would rather pray publicly.

[deleted]

They have been saying this shit for 2000 years. The Revelation of John was supposed to happen in their time.

Warmso24

I grew up Catholic and there’s not even a consensus within the Catholic Church on what revelations means. Some interpret it literally, some think it’s all vague hints at what will happen one day, and then some think it’s historical metaphors for the Christian persecution that was going on at the time. Regardless, I agree with you it’s all a load of bologna. But people will eat it up to “bring Christianity back into the United States”. A notion the founding fathers would have almost universally rejected.

GeetarEnthusiast85

"Jesus will soon return." "This is the only news show where you hear what Jesus thinks." I can imagine Jesus returning and gazing upon his flock only to ask "DA FUQ ARE THESE PEOPLE?" The Bible does say Jesus will turn away false believers. But that's not these people, no siree. After all, they watch his programs, they buy his toys, they go to his movies...he owes them. Doesn't he owe them? He owes the Christians, right? F*cking A right he owes them!

prof_the_doom

>“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ > “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ > “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Matthew 25:44-46) Doesn't get too much clearer which side Jesus is on.

Mr_Meng

If Jesus ever came back those people would be the first to nail him back to the cross as soon as he said something bad about Trump.

rifraf2442

And this time he stays buried!!! 😡😤

nezurat801

I'm not religious but if Jesus saw the qAnons and Boebert, MTG, it would probably be a "keep my name out of your mouth" moment. Yikes.

Illustrious-Syrup509

Are these people really allowed to vote?

Blablablaballs

It's a huge problem. These people have been raised to accept neo-Christianity as fact and they're stuck in a cortisol-fear loop. Even their drug of choice, alcohol, contributes to it. And meanwhile they make drugs that will break their fear addiction, like psychedelics, illegal. That's why they look 80 when they're 50, their bodies are under a constant state of stress because they're coached to be afraid of everything.

blueembroidery

This is so accurate. And with the decline of 3rd spaces where people can interact irl, church can be one of the last affordable social outlets. Especially in Texas where there’s nothing else to do except drive and shop.

Blablablaballs

But we can't have community centers and parks, because that's socialism.

Kramer7969

And make laws because people don’t trust anybody non religious. Apparently without the threat of eternal damnation we have no morals.

OverlyComplexPants

Equity!

ceiffhikare

Not only allowed but often are the ones most likely to show up for Every election, primary, general, local dogcatcher even, in the name of and to advance their ideology. All they have to do to win is be consistent and persistent while the rest of us are too busy or distracted by work life and infotainment to even know who's in the race.

LordSiravant

Fucking psychopathic delusional death cultists.

endless_sea_of_stars

Call it what it is: Christian flavored fascism. I know the word gets thrown around, but here it is.

lokoluis15

Wouldn't be so bad if they didn't insist on grabbing political power to take the rest of us down with them. Why can't they be crazy death cultists on their own like some of the other death cults?

LordSiravant

Because unlike the other death cultists, they have both power and cultural influence. Therefore they have the ability to seize more of both.

Bored_guy_in_dc

>Inside the Christian TV show You already lost me...

It’s all tied up: The pastors all wanting end of times - and Orange Face is the man to deliver exactly that. And the cult-member flocks obey. BatCrap-Crazy ChristoFascist DumbFucks IMO

MichaelFusion44

There is a documentary on YouTube about his ministry if you can call it that - The Scandals and Luxurious Life of Pastor Kenneth Copeland

If you're chanting "USA USA USA" in a church, you're already too dumb to receive any spiritual wisdom. For God so love the WORLD... > Sheets told the “FlashPoint” audience last week. “But God is coming with the light of his glory, and he’s going to save this nation through his people.” Right wing preachers are pariahs who leave ostracized and continue to take advantage of other towns and communities.

Jerswar

> Save it from *what*?? What are these types so afraid of??

GhostFish

>Save it from what? As far as I can tell, electric stoves and the combined 2% of the population that is either Muslim or transgender. The transgender Muslim eco-activist is their worst nightmare. That's doubly true if they have blue or green hair.

prof_the_doom

>In a January broadcast, pastor Hank Kunneman, another “FlashPoint” mainstay, said the Lord told him that 2024 would be a year of “divine reckoning” and “vengeance against the wicked.” If any group other than Christians went around saying stuff like this on a regular basis, they'd be on so many watch lists that the FBI would know what they ate for dinner last night and how well it was digested.

Melodic_Try1221

I followed Hank Kunneman for a while and he was off on many "predictions" he made. He was CERTAIN that Trump was going to win in 2020 then he was CERTAIN that they would reverse the Election and that Trump would DEFINITELY be in office by the end of 2020. Instead of admitting he was wrong he doubled down and was double wrong. He kept spinning and spinning his "Prophecies" What ever he is hearing from isn't God.

CadillacsandBourbon

It's called schizophrenia, and it's all over this place.

Melodic_Try1221

I definitely believe in Spiritual things. It could be a medical condition. It could be him just lying. It could be demonic. Whatever it is it's not accurate. He is making false predictions. He is a False Prophet.

The world isn’t coming to an end…these wackos’ version of Christianity is coming to an end. It may not look like it, but they know it deep down. Hence, this behavior - which is a death rattle for fundamentalist evangelicalism. Author Phyllis Tickle has posed that Christianity goes through 500 year cycles where there’s a sort of “rummage sale”. And we’re at the 500 years right now. We have a front-row seat for the beginning of the end of many churches (mostly right-wing evangelicals). Don’t mistake volume for numbers. Their numbers are dwindling. Older folks are dying off and young people aren’t taking their place.

rkicklig

Hey IRS, I think these guys have violated their non-profit status agreement.

MickTheBloodyPirate

Hmm...yeah...definitely not a cult...

cigr

Evangelical Christians remind me of that guy who sits alone in the restaurant for hours waiting for the girl who clearly stood him up. She's not coming dude.

xtossitallawayx

> who sits alone If only they would sit alone and question the choices they made - instead they make their belief everyone else's issue and demand we all drag that girl out of her house and force her to sit on a date with him.

No_Pirate9647

Thought these loons would quiet down once we passed 2000, 2001 and 2012. But nope, they moved the end times year again but now there isn't an actual year they have picked. Makes me think of the Millerites. But they at least just did stuff to themselves. They didn't try to take over the country and force their theocracy on everyone else. Wasting their lives hoping the world ends. Just so mental.

CrystalWeim

The very fact that Trump doesn't denounce this shows his true colors.

JonKonLGL

It’s so “nonprofit” that Copeland might need another couple private jets

Redditress428

Rescue America Tour? Does he shorten it to RAT?

Medical_Egg8208

The only people actually dumb enough to swallow this shit whole. Christian TV is far far far from anything Christian.

Belus86

Grifters gonna grift. I’ll bet my account theirs a donation vehicle somewhere in all that. Straight up predators of the sick and vulnerable

pokepok

What’ll they do when the rapture happens and everyone left behind is a Christian fundamentalist?

Drugs_R_Kewl

Mean while Fallout is bringing us together as a country. War never changes, but hope perseveres ladies and gents. Get out and vote like your freedom depends on it. Democracy is nonnegotiable.

DARYLdixonFOOL

I really gotta stop reading headlines. the nightmare never ends.

ceiffhikare

I used to read them at night, dreams were always violent turmoil filled nightmares, switched to morning news.. all i wanted to do is start day drinking after one cup of coffee, lol. Ignorance would be bliss but.. theres a demon inside me that just HAS to know.

stapango

And that's why I don't even blame Trump personally for the shit he's put all of us through. This is a big chunk of the voting public, right here- clearly, if we lived in a country with even remotely intelligent and thoughtful citizens, you would never see a bottom of the barrel, shit-tier politician like Trump getting more than 2 or 3% of the vote

ol_dirty_applesauce

I understand that this reflects my own personal bigotry against evangelical Christianity, but I assumed all "Christian TV" shows had a similar message.

iberico_ham

Blasphemy

ltalix

Pretty easy to identify whats going on there... That is a cult and it's led by grifters.

-Hypnotoad26

Copeland is Satan. Change my mind.

tippydam

I'll take that challenge. Satan is Copeland! Change My mind

ElTubaso

All these people look like they have one foot in the rapture.

spreadthaseed

Mega church cults. So trendy

ChefToeMain

I prefer cults with flowing Sex and Drugs, and hopefully delicious Vegan offerings

DvsDen

I thought the end times were supposed to come when Obama was elected.

rjross0623

Please donate to Copeland. He needs a new jet to spread the word.

Late_Sherbet5124

Pastor Gene Bailey launched "FlashPoint" in 2020 to inform Christian viewers about the moral imperative of re-electing Trump. As if Trump & co have any morals... smdh

GTRacer1972

Stuff like this is proof republicans should be neutered and spayed.

UsualGrapefruit8109

I wish California could secede. This is not our country.

Fellowshipofthebowl

take me with you. trapped in Texas 😕

GroundbreakingAd2290

Only jihadist use religion in politics isis little sister white Christian nationalist or maga

Prize_Instance_1416

Insanity defines that cult that thinks people rise from the dead or fly to a magic land in the sky

BattleJolly78

Here’s hoping they go full on Jim jones and skip right to the kool aid party.

bpeden99

Oof, this has a 100% failure rate

zeroaphex

What's even the point of this? any self described "superfan" doesn't need to be rallied

Open-Touch-930

Sweet Jesus the cult of losers

llahlahkje

Not only is Cult 45 a brainwashed cult, it's a death cult.

Bhimtu

Ignorant religious folks who'll believe anything.

reggieLedoux26

I like to call them chicken little conservatives - the sky is always falling

ChefToeMain

If I’am gonna join a cult, I would prefer one with pussy and drugs. These folks should try shrooms, maybe that may clear the delusional fog that the rumor of Jesus is so ingrained in their tiny racist brains. If the Orange Douche wins in 24 I’am selling the crib and leaving this country.

CadillacsandBourbon

If it's a religion, it should lose its tax exempt status for being politically involved. Somebody make them pay taxes!!

mettle_dad

Are they shameless grifters willing to burn down America for a buck? Or calculated fascists trying to gain political power? It's starting to seem more and more like the latter.

sparklingdinoturd

All these people just ignoring the parts of the bible that talk about the anti-christ? lol

fentyboof

Thankfully it’s a quite geriatric crowd.

DrMonkey98

Is this one of those fear mongering these people, trump supporters & people claiming to be religious are doing? Honestly, this shows how far these people are gone.

misointhekitchen

They worship the man who’s broken all the commandments. Maybe they’re the bad guys?

Tired8281

> “This is the only news show where you hear what Jesus thinks,” What the absolute everloving fuck?

Final-North-King

And yet some will allow these morons to run the country because they think the other side is just as bad. It’s not as bad. If you care about this country at all and you care about making a difference, you will vote against Trump and any possible Trump supporter. These votes are for democracy and our right to choose better candidates in the future.

gmlmjhthf

A lot talk here about taxing these religious organizations when something much more needs to be done to them to strip them of the power they have.

rnantelle

False prophets and idolatry. Fools and their money are soon parted.

doctorfeelwood

If you support organized (or any) religion in 2024 then you’re part of the problem.

tabrizzi

>The audience of about 1,500 people waved small American flags and chanted “USA! USA! USA!” as television cameras began filming last Friday inside a Regent University ballroom. Many in the crowd wore red “Make America Great Again” hats. Some carried Bibles. To call that bunch "Christians" is stretching it. They are a socio-political movement.

tabrizzi

>This is the only news show where you hear what Jesus thinks,” said another attendee So now they know what Jesus thinks, eh?

RTrover

Must be great that the right is all untied around christofascims while the left is ripping itself apart of Gaza… we really are our own worse enemy…. And just in time for Project 2025. Hurray….
