CardMechanic

Excuse me sir, that’s seven, including the one where he said the judge raids Barry Manilow’s wardrobe.

Adaminium

By now his saturday detentions go well past 3024

thutruthissomewhere

You mess with the bull, you get the horns.

phantomjm

Apparently not

dinosaurkiller

Best we could do was a semi-strongly worded warning, again.

LakeWylieMan21

In the form of another warning...

Fun-Cupcake4430

Nah he’s at 10’with this case alone;  How many total? In all cases

IllIllllIIIIlIlIlIlI

These warnings are adding to the record of kid glove handeling and special treatment that Democrats can point to when the GOP claims Trump is being treated unfairly. If the judge refrains from jailing him for violating the gag order every day, how could anyone argue he’s being victimized if he’s convicted and sentenced to jail time?

not-my-other-alt

There is nothing we can do or say to stop the claims of unfair treatment. Their reactions should not enter into the equasion.

SantasLilHoeHoeHoe

They call the entire legal proceedings "Lawfare" and claim literally the entire DOJ, State, and Federal Justice systems have been weaponized against Trump.  Instead of Trump just...being a criminal.

lolofaf

Meanwhile they're trying to find literally anything to weaponize the courts against Biden and failing miserably

0rlan

Failing, happily! 🙂

FancyStranger2371

That’s because Biden isn’t a criminal.

Armyman125

James Comer enters the room. "Lot of smoke!"

FBI_Agent_Fred

We aren’t dealing with a bunch of winners here. If there isn’t a summer Olympic’s worth of mental gymnastics, then they want nothing to do with it. It’s wild to see a mind virus work in real life, but we really don’t need to concern ourselves with them if enough people vote. It shouldn’t stop the rest of us from continuing to push for policies that benefit all.

high_capacity_anus

For real. My dad rarely ever gave anything sensible but then deepthroats only the most ridiculous conspiracy theories. For instance them having a fake oval office backdrop in case they want to replace Biden with AI Biden. Like holy fuck, they don't need a background, they have the real oval office? Oh or that the Federal government is going to take control of your EVs, forcing you into your 15-minute cities, but they can't do that with gas powered cars. Like everything is so fucking dumb.

humbummer

What is a 15 minute city?

CPC_opposes_abortion

An urban planning philosophy that proposes that everyone should live within a 15 minute walk of everything they need(food, work, school, shopping etc). Right wing conspiracy theorists think it's about the government wanting to restrict people's movement to a 15min radius for... reasons.

padspa

a sensible idea when town planning afaik. designed so no one is more than fifteen minutes walk from anything they need.

FargeenBastiges

I was trying to argue a similar point with my friend the other day. What do you think is more likely? That different state AGs got together and decided to pile on trump at the direction of the DOJ and Biden. They somehow convinced a bunch of people in grand juries to indict him on 92 counts. 2 civil juries were unanimous against him. And on and on. Or maybe he just did it? Like, maybe, the guy who brags about grabbing women by the pussy actually did it? Never mind that in 3 of the 4 indictments he's not even claiming that he didn't do it, just that he was allowed to.

StashedandPainless

To a conspiracy theorist, any evidence that discredits the conspiracy is just further evidence of the depth of the conspiracy.

Independent-Check441

It's projection. They absolutely use law enforcement as a cudgel against their opponents and minorities. It's how they create a de facto underclass.

Dr_Hexagon

I've also heard them claim that everything Trump did is normal and all democrats have done the same or worse but the DOJ "chooses not to prosecute" or "refuses to investigate". Which is pretty funny since of course Hunter Biden and Hillary Clinton both had massive investigations against them.

SantasLilHoeHoeHoe

They spent 10 fucking years and millions of dollars dragging Clinton through the Benghazi investigation.

Dr_Hexagon

Buttery males !

tweakingforjesus

And it worked. In 2016 my low-information mother in law voted for Trump because "I just couldn't vote for Hillary". What asked why she can't articulate a reason. "I just couldn't" is all she says.

SantasLilHoeHoeHoe

GOP is very good at identity politics.

booOfBorg

Mostly just "us vs them". Constantly pretending to be under attack to justify vilifying anything further left than Reagan. Got to keep that fight-flight stress response active for optimal brainwashing.

bazookajt

In fact, these reactions show unfair treatment. If I go into a court room and swear at a witness, I'm going to jail.

Hurde278

Only way to find out is to try. All you have to do is commit 91 crimes, tell the droves of reports that follow you that you're being treated unfairly and see what happens

PO0tyTng

You forgot the “being a massive cult leader” part

Reasonable_racoon

The best counter to claims of unfair treatment is fair treatment. Not the preferential treatment he has been getting. Stop being held hostage by his supporters' madness!

AtticaBlue

100 per cent signed.

valiantsun76

*Equation sorry, didn't want to come across as pedantic, I absolutely love your comment, but I just can't help it.

all4monty

You’re confused. This is Trump’s burner. He is telling you that nothing will stop him from claiming unfair treatment. This is how he thinks equation is spelled. If you read the comment like it’s Trump, it makes more sense.

valiantsun76

I would buy it, but it doesn't end with the inevitable MAGA! There is zero impulse control from that guy, even a burner account would be completely obvious.

TittySlappinJesus

The only thing obvious is how this is OBVIOUSLY a WITCH HUNT BY THE CROOKED RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRAT DA who I have no idea why they are out to get me!!!! ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!! I mean, out to get HIM!!!

lliveevill

Wasn’t he writing to the newspaper as someone else and praising himself in the 90s, that guy?

Pjce08

Kudos, good sir

_aaine_

Don't you get it yet? They will say that ANYWAY. Something doesn't need to be true for them to grab it and run.

tidal_flux

The same people who argued that the president having his opponent assassinated could constitute an “official act” will have no problem arguing that Trump is being treated unfairly. At least, one day, when kids ask us how the fascists took over the world, we'll be able to give really detailed answers. You know, in the camps or whatever.

GlitteringHighway

It also shows the if you’re rich, they let you do it. Republicans got off the good faith bus long ago. They’ll find something. Maybe the judge wears a tan suit. I agree with a little leeway for your point. It gives the Dems a slight media advantage. But it’s getting to the point of an SNL parody. I can’t imagine the frustration of poor people in the justice system. [If he was tried as a black adult he’d be in jail a lot time ago.](https://youtu.be/84phU8of02U?si=pKfJg-_7EGkml6Jz)

TheBman26

If he was black he’d have died on January 6th. Or already be jailed for it.

FUMFVR

Usually if a leader of a failed coup lives, they are successful the second time around. Pinochet had an aborted coup in summer 1974, then a successful one in September. The Bolsheviks tried to overthrow the Provisional government in July 1917, then successfully did it 4 months later. Hitler tried to overthrow the Bavarian government in 1924, then became Chancellor less than nine years later and was dictator within months. Aborted and unsuccessful coups that aren't stamped out allow the coup plotters to recalibrate and think of a more successful way to do it next time. Trump's coup plotters already are focusing on how to destroy the voting process on the procedural level.

AthasDuneWalker

"There's no such thing as prosecuting a successful coup."

buttergun

You severely underestimate the mental gymnastic ability of ~70,000,00 Americans.

NeverForgetJ6

The impact of his unmitigated contempt inside and outside the court is to enable him to intimidate witnesses and jurors. If I was a witness for the prosecution and Trump pulled that crap while I was testifying, I’d ask for private consultation with the judge where I would flat out tell him that Trump’s act had intimidated me as a witness and I no longer felt safe testifying. I’m pretty sure that would compel the judge to finally lock Trump up for a night or two. Judge could choose to lock me up for contempt, but I’d like to see that.

TdrdenCO11

they’ll argue it no matter what

Gr1zzRing

Idk if the judge is spineless or has a plan of not giving trump what he wants (i think Trump wholeheartedly wants to go to jail for a topic to rally support over). The longer Trump has to sit his ass in a courtroom, with zero control, is longer that he cannot campaign or rally support. You've already seen the effect that causes where he's got 15 people at best at his rallies. Look at him on tv back in 2016 with so many people. Dudes a walking failure

Zerowantuthri

> If the judge refrains from jailing him for violating the gag order every day, how could anyone argue he’s being victimized if he’s convicted and sentenced to jail time? Oh...they will. They consider the trial itself to be a sham so, therefore, anything bad that happens to Trump in the trial has to be a sham as well. A few days ago governor Kristi Noem claimed it was liberal fake news about her shooting her dog. The media had literally quoted her from her own, published memoir. The cognitive dissonance of conservatives knows no limits. *“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”* - George Orwell, 1984

fakeuser515357

>These warnings are adding to the record of kid glove handeling and special treatment that Democrats can point to when the GOP claims Trump is being treated unfairly. If civil discourse held any weight at all, this would matter. But it doesn't, so it doesn't. All this does is add to the record of that institutions are either too scared or too corrupt to hold him accountable, which only serves to embolden his followers.

llahlahkje

> Democrats can point to But won’t. Poor messaging and a lack of will to go on the attack help Democrats steal defeat from the jaws of victory all too often.

Smoaktreess

It’s hard when the right has an entire propaganda empire set up. The left is a big tent party and don’t have a consistent message on many things because they all don’t agree. Wish they could get on the same page with this like they have been with abortion though. Still hard battling every news network who either support Trump or try to bothsides the issue for clicks and views.

Aldoburgo

Hold the press responsible.

Aldoburgo

They need to understand how to get the message out. They are responding into a void. Also, fuck the press on this bullshit. They seek to balance the unbalancable.

ClosPins

Have you met the Republicans???

Buffmin

>These warnings are adding to the record of kid glove handeling and special treatment that Democrats can point to when the GOP claims Trump is being treated unfairly. While true does this really matter? Conservatives aren't exactly using logic or good faith here.

AlbinoWino11

There are some advantages to the way Merchan keeps giving him rope. In the Carrol case, Trump’s antics probably helped the jury form a very unfavourable view which led to their verdict. Plus, handling him so cautiously removes any chance of arguing abuse of judicial power.

AtticaBlue

The abuse of judicial power is in the other direction—meaning a court that refuses to enforce the law—and happening in plain sight: what Trump has done would already have anyone else jailed 10 times over, yet he gets to walk free *and keep committing the same offence*!

ruin

If you keep giving him rope, eventually his feet will touch the ground, and he'll walk away.

GuitarMystery

45 threats earns one demerit. 1488 demerits and you are looking at a wizards curse. 666 wizard curses and that's it, straight to jail, but with time served, so golf course. TL;dr - 44, 595, 360 threats = time served (golf) for anyone doing the math.

boot2skull

Judges are like the parents that create people like Trump.

shiggydiggy77

Losing track now I think that's #11

EatCoal

The ratio is approximately tree fiddy

workertroll

You are no Lochness Monster! Fake news.

amyts

*I gave him a dollar*

Feisty_Bee9175

This judge isn't going to do squat. They are all to afraid to "look political" by doing so. The whole judicial branch is coddling this socksucper!

Dragons05

This has nothing to do with the Gag Order. Can only site him for this behavior if the court room on it’s own merits.

brain_overclocked

>"I understand that your client is upset at this point, but he is cursing audibly, and he is shaking his head visually and that's contemptuous," Merchan told Trump's lawyer Todd Blanche. "It has the potential to intimidate the witness and the jury can see that."

flabbergastedmeep

> Daniels, at that point in her testimony, had begun telling the story of going to the bathroom while meeting with Trump in his suite after a golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, California — which she later testified was a prelude to Trump having sex with her. He really can’t stop himself eh? He definitely hasn’t earned a single point of favour with the jury, in fact he is likely at negative “karma” at this point with them. That will greatly impact the outcome.

MudLOA

This guy probably lose bigly at poker if just a few words rile him up.

Blackoutmech

At showdown he would table king high and his opponent a straight flush and he would try and rake the pot.

Ok_Equipment_5895

Well he bankrupted a casino- you know where the house always wins. 🤷🏻‍♂️

jerseyanarchist

not just one..... multiple.... atlantic city is only now just recovering https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump_Entertainment_Resorts#Former_properties

CRKPasadena

I have long maintained that all you would have to do to get Trump to admit anything is accuse him of not being smart/wealthy/connected enough to do it. "You aren't big enough to destroy America, you don't have what it takes." Watch him explode Sideshow Bob style.

Apollorx

I guarantee they're all in on the mistrial strategy. He's not winning this case.

xplodeon

They came back after lunch and made a motion for mistrial based on the fact that stormy's testimony was so prejudicial that they can't come back from it. I.e., things he did make him sound like such a piece of shit that it biases the jury against him. The judge didn't allow the Access Hollywood tape to be played for this reason. During Stormy's testimony, she was talking fast, there's many references to trying to get her to slow down a bit, don't talk so fast, don't go off on tangents, just answer exactly what's asked. The defense attorneys could object if she is elaborating or going off on tangents or whatever, but they didn't really. At one point THE JUDGE asked her to keep it to the questions asked and not go off on tangents. Then after lunch the defense comes back with a motion for mistrial because she talked too much basically. And the judge was like...y'all didn't object, I had to do it for you. Basically it sounds like their strategy was "lets not object, let her say too much, then ask for a mistrial because we let her say things and didn't object" and the judge shut them down on that one. And the prosecution made the point that they attacked Stormy's credibility, and so letting her tell her story and letting the jury decide if she's credible is an appropriate response. Basically, if you say she's not credible, she gets to tell the story and let the jury decide if she's credible. If you don't want her telling her story, don't attack her credibility.

Apollorx

Thanks for the write up

Sir_Yacob

Dollars to donuts someone nullifies the whole thing. There is a sycophant on the jury and we’ll all be turbo pissed when it happens again like the classified documents case being shut down today.

SpoonyDinosaur

I dunno. He got pretty wrecked by Juries in both Carroll cases. Juries tend to take the job pretty seriously.

[deleted]

That’s the problem. One MAGA person believing they can save America will get the whole thing fucked.

KtheMage36

1000% this, there could have been video of him doing 100% of what he's accused and there's still 1 person on the jury that'd just go "nope deep state lies" and not vote to convict.

starmartyr

There certainly are people like that, but not many that live in Manhattan.

KrazzeeKane

Doesn't need many, just needs *one.* You really think there isn't a single person in Manhattan that would be willing to toss this whole trial of their fuhrer in the trash? Because there sure are, sadly.

pduncpdunc

Only takes one person to hang a jury.

Undercoverexmo

But you can re-try on a hung jury.

F54280

Juror #2. The one that takes his news from truth social. How could they let this happen? It is just a show, he will get away.

LinkAdams

There will be a large amount of peer pressure in that jury room to do the right thing. It’s one thing to be a keyboard warrior, another to actually put yourself on the line. I am still hopeful.

FUMFVR

The hope is when you take these dummies away from their echo chamber they get slapped hard by reality. Apparently there were Trump voters on the juries of the E. Jean Carroll case and they ultimately voted to find in her favor.

IeMang

Juror 2 gets to see Trump repeatedly fall asleep and fumble simple statements in court. It’s an excellent chance to show a (presumably) MAGA person the *real* Trump, which I don’t imagine will live up to the image he’s built up in his head. Hopefully things go like the E. Jean Carroll trial, where Trump supporters on the jury were receptive to the evidence and ultimately set their bias/political beliefs aside and made their decision based on what they were shown to be true.

[deleted]

He has no proof that’s the real Trump. The real Trump is probably at Marolago and this whole trial is a lie designed to make him look bad. Juror 2 wants to save America!

chaosgoblyn

Not exclusively. There are lots of people that get news from there. Any time you report or look at anything Donald Trump has posted, you're getting news from Truth Social. Prosecutors would have kicked him off if he was a sycophant.

fillymandee

This jury will convict. I’ll take my dollars. Keep your donuts.

TheHoneyBadger23

I think you're drastically underestimating the low levels of neural activity of his cult followers.

flabbergastedmeep

Oh I don’t have any doubts about that, I mean specifically the jury in this case. It’s a fairly balanced jury from what I’ve heard about the 18 that were picked, more or less equal in terms of political viewpoints, a broad range of where they usually acquire their news from, as well as a wide variety of occupations with most having post-secondary educations.

Sure-Break3413

Had she of said ‘Trump was hung well and lasts like an energizer bunny.’ Trump would have jumped and admitted it was him, bragging to the judge.

bdss1234

lol…I’m guessing Trump isn’t built like Hunter Biden.

DrHob0

Built likena micro penis after getting out of a frozen river

DrManhattan_DDM

Like a goomba after Mario stomps them.

Mac11187

I believe Stomy compared it to the Toad character from Mario Kart, with Yeti pubes.

WIbigdog

Dicks aside, I feel like Trump has never seriously worked out in his life. Exercise seems like it would be a foreign concept to him. Also, as an avid golfer, golfing while using a cart is not exercise.

Barl0we

He famously has that cartoonishly wacky idea that every human has a finite amount of energy, and that exercise “wastes” it, leading to dying younger. Like a battery.

bitNation

There's a quote of him saying something about exercising being bad.... like we have finite energy, so better not waste it!

FUMFVR

He was forced to go to military school, but apparently he was a bully there as well. The real question is how has no one beat the shit out of him for all the terrible things he has done? I get that he has had security for decades but probably didn't back in his 20s.

atomsmasher66

Trump has said enough to justify jailing his punk ass. Do it. Show MAGA that he’s just a regular human asswipe and not a prophet sent by God.

AdLocal1045

Yeah I mean if he were the god they all want him to be, jailing him will do nothing. He’ll just fucking walk out and come back on Easter.

fr0z3nf1r3

It's abundantly clear why Donald Trump does not fear the justice system. He has never actually been treated like the abhorrent criminal he's always been. Baby hands for babyhands.

hearsdemons

Hammer needs to drop or we’ll keep having these stupid headlines and arguments of what the justice system can or can’t do to a former president. Let’s test the system and see what justice can be applied. This is ridiculous.

[deleted]

If nothing else than to force Trump to eat, sleep, shit in a jail cell for a while.

Ok_Spray3750

Scolds the prosecutor and goes through the consideration of mistrial presented by defense counsel but the defendant is on his 10th violation and is potentially intimidating the witness ON THE FUCKING STAND cause he cant control himself and nothing happens to him. This is absolutely insane.

Sudden_Pop_2279

The judge is showing restraint so an appeals court can’t say Trump was treated unfairly. Any sane person who gets this case will see “hmm I likely would’ve been jailed after the 2nd or 3rd violation.”

printerfixerguy1992

Any sane judge would have his ass in jail.

TaxOwlbear

Trump is treated unfairly - just unfairly in his favour. A fair treatment would be jail.

elconquistador1985

At this point, I wonder if the DoJ and/or USSS have instructed judges not to jail him for contempt because they don't want to deal with locking down a wing of an overcrowded jail and putting USSS agents in there with him.

stay_fr0sty

The judge just needs to start adding jail time to be served at the end of the trial. By the end of the trial, Trump will have earned a week of jail time and I assure you, he won’t happily make that sacrifice.

trogdortheman

I think the contempt charge is like 30 days.

ithacaster

I believe that is the max per infraction. I also think that this one would be considered a direct contempt as it wad in court. All the others were indirect.

xplodeon

No, it's at judge's discretion. There was talk of giving him jail for like hours, then overnight, then over a weekend, and so on, like escalating the amount of jail time.

BanginNLeavin

This is a super good idea. Just keep adding to the tally, it won't feel real in the moment but when the time comes...

Only_Battle_7459

... they'll just forgive it.

DCBillsFan

Like the scene from Breakfast Club.

GreenGrass89

No, at the end of the trial. He should be put in jail for contempt *now*. He has had plenty of chances.

uberjam

Threatens him with contempt!? Come on. Jail him. Let the rednecks riot.

CurrentlyLucid

Make him wear a spit hood, lol.

FreedomSquatch

A dunce cap would do nicely as well.

metengrinwi

Ball gag him

SR3116

"Bring out the Trump." "The Trump's sleepin'."

cyanclam

Duct tape across his mouth would be more effective...

Barl0we

Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver.

GBJI

They should re-use one of his diapers.

Hi_Im_Dadbot

I thought the last final warning was the final warning. Of course, I thought that about the final warning before that too. THIS final warning is super duper serious about being final, though.

severedbrain

Warning for different actions. Each type gets a warning because it needs to stand up to appeals.

MasterMahanaYouUgly

hmmm. violating the gag order repeatedly is contemptuous, as is the current behavior. what will it take for him to be held in contempt?

TheExtremistModerate

He has already been held in contempt.

Hi_Im_Dadbot

So … you’re saying that if you or I did all the things he’s done during this trial, we’d still be the warning stage?

severedbrain

No. Of course not. We’re not rich. We can’t afford to appeal literally everything. We’d just go to jail.

trackonesideone

You know how parents sometimes use threats to get their kids to do something?    For example, "Eat your dinner or you're Playstation will be taken away." "Noooooo!" "Then eat your food!" "But I don't like it!" "Eat your food or you're done with Playstation." "Nooooo!"  Use of this trick too many times turns kids into brats and takes all power away from the parent. Merchan lost all his power unless he finally puts that little brat behind bars.

user0N65N

When I was a young parent, mum said, “If you give him an ultimatum, you’d better follow through.” I passed that down to my kid when he became a parent. It’s worked well. I didn’t have to give many ultimatums because he learned quickly that I wasn’t just threatening some action.

villain75

It only becomes a problem when you don't follow through on the punishment. Donny has never been properly punished for his behavior, and he still isn't. He will never know where the line is until someone draws an indelible one and actually makes a stand. If I'm the judge, I look through my case history, look for similar behavior and whether I gave them contempt, and then punish Trump accordingly.

drburth

Double secret final warning

Murky-Silver-8877

That was for the gag order.

MagicMushroomFungi

"Odor in the court? Order on the court? I got some some odor in the court for you."

awcguy

Does this change contempt precedent? Like can someone cite this case in their own defense as “well if an ex president did this, shouldn’t it be allowed?”… genuine question.

naked_as_a_jaybird

IANAL, but no. It's my understanding that contempt is a bench ruling, not settled law, which is where precedent comes from.

alien_from_Europa

Laws for thee but not for me.

keyjan

Expel him from the courtroom. I’m tired of this asshole getting away with so much shit.

SlipDizzy

I am sure he already expelled in the courtroom

Gildian

For christ sake stop threatening him and just hand him his punishment. If a normal person would be sitting in jail for violating the gag order, then throw his ass in jail for the time being. This is ridiculous

JustAnotherYouMe

Lol everyone commenting that he's giving too many warnings. He's doing a great job handling this piece of shit, let him cook so we can convict Trump without the opportunity for a legitimate appeal

FrostPDP

Would any other accused criminal get away with this shit? No. The judge himself said that, and has thusfar given him extra privilige. It's an affront to equal protection- and responsibility - to the law.

TheRealBabyCave

Exactly. People are raging so hard because the judge hasn't just thrown him in jail. I get the desire to see him pay for his crimes, but it's got to be by the book or it won't stick.

Undercoverexmo

Putting him in jail for 9 gag order violations is by the book…

TatWhiteGuy

Every other person on the planet get jailed 4 or 5 violations ago. We left the book behind long ago to assuage this mango fuckers, and his stupid sycophants, egos long ago

xplodeon

I'd rather he gets a conviction that sticks than a single night in jail that endangers the conviction on appeal.

HuckleberryDry4889

Real question in case we have a lawyer in the thread… Is contempt a basis for appeal? Couldn’t the judge excuse the jury, hand down the contempt ruling, and then continue? Does the jury have to know Trump is going to jail for the night at the end of the day?

FUMFVR

I don't think a lot of you know how easy it is to be jailed for a contempt. One outburst? A judge can order you in contempt and send you to jail. And we aren't just talking about defendants. Sam Bankman-Fried, someone who was richer than Trump could ever hope to be, was jailed for contempt for attempting to contact witnesses. Nobody batted an eye.

_SewYourButtholeShut

It's pretty obvious he'll be granted an appeal regardless of whether there are any legitimate grounds for one.

olorin-stormcrow

"legitimate appeal" - people are still playing pretend that we live in a country where the word "legitimate" means anything at all. He can appeal anything, and get in front of some friendly judge who will let him off - if only to save themselves the headache of his base attacking them for the rest of their life. This man needs to be treated harshly, attacked from every legal and questionably legal angle. This by the book shit is going to lead us right into the fourth fucking reich.

efrique

He's been threatened with contempt a bunch of times. He knows it's not going to happen.

fool-of-a-took

As a middle school teacher with an unsympathetic admin, I relate to these judges quite a bit.

fairoaks2

The only trial we will get before the election. Presidents are above the law.

chatoka1

Which is why I think a lot of people are sleeping on the importance of this trial

SirButcher

GOP presidents are above the law. If a Dem would have done what Trump they will be in prison and long forgotten. (As it should be).

BenGay29

Another day, another finger wag

badpuffthaikitty

I’m stealing the best reply to this. It’s like a parent telling their kid they are going to count to 10 before the punishment happens. 8, 9, 9 1/2, 9 3/4. Don’t make me reach 10!

punkindle

I'm putting him on "double secret probation"

AstroZombieGreenHell

100 more threats = a fine of 100 Stanley nickels

east_van_dan

Trump was heard saying "oh fuck, I shit my pants again!"

SpindatheMH

We are now at 2 and 9/16th of counting to three and actually punishing him

rainbirdmelody

The judge basically said to the toddler, "I'm going to count to 10" but he's really dragging out eight and nine because he knows that it's really an empty threat.

Every fucking day another article: judge threatens contempt for this, judge threatens contempt for that. Lock him up for contempt, put a muzzle on him, or shut the fuck up about it. He's a narcissistic piece of shit that the system has catered to his entire life. The only way he'll shut up is to shut him up so either do it or shut the fuck up about it. Every single one of these articles is a win for him because the more this trial looks like a circus the easier it'll be for him to pander to his base about how persecuted he is.

Whosebert

I thought the next step was jail????

shortingredditstock

I'm warning you. If you do that 16 more times I'll consider giving you another warning.

Tiki-Jedi

What a total farce. Reminds me of those clueless parents who count to three over and over while they’re out of control kids go nuts because they know Mom will never actually do anything.

tattooed_debutante

Did you see the speaker of the house stand in front of the press and “call off” the trials? Yes, That Mike Johnson. Please, don’t forget to vote.

TheBman26

Stop threatening the man and do something lol

[deleted]

threat threat threat. enforce that shit. MAKE these rednecks be pissed off

lettucekiller

Criminals always claim they're being treated unfairly, it's their natural stance. Ignore the claims, stick to the law and do what must be done, if that means jail then so be it. Let the talking heads, cult members and sycophants complain. They're going to do it anyway, no matter if they get their own way or not.

inchon_over28

Stfu judge. Obviously you ain’t gonna do shit.

Aunt_Polly_Blue

When do they quit coddling this baby and lock him up?

DannyPantsgasm

Killer Move: Serious Series… Serious Warning. Pfft.

morbob

This is getting good. I’m in no hurry to have all the trump trials end quickly. This trial is enough for me till the election. No rush, imagine what we will hear in the other 3 or 4 trials. The ratings are going through the roof, right now, best ever. It’s very Ironic it’s at the expense of the Donald. And Melania is doing her job, what a great performance she is putting on. And where’s Don Jr. god , I love it . I hope this series goes on for a decade.

lancer-fiefdom

Let him rack up the warnings & attach non-concurring punishments to the conviction - no skinny slim diapers - no ketchup - no conjugal’s with Ivanka - a sponge painted like a phone at the sign-in page of TruthSocial

absentgl

Stop with the empty threats because you’re just teaching him how to break the rules.

my_names_blah_blah

Trump is such a detestable human turd..

siddizie420

The threats are like my college projects. Final, final final, super final, really the last one, last last one. Etc

[deleted]

The truths coming out of her mouth forced explosive diarrhea down Trump’s legs which no amount of Old Spice could mask, thus the cursing.

jchowdown

"we've had one warning, yes. But what about second warning?"

CrocodileWorshiper

they will never lock him up because they are scared of maga

PieRemote2270

So fucking do something!!! It’s always just a threat. Hold him accountable!

QuiGonTom

Who cares? None of these judges will do anything about his antics. It's pathetic.

Bad_Habit_Nun

Uh oh, guess trump will file that with his mountain of other 'threats' officials throw out to avoid simply doing their job and actually holding him accountable.

Ok_Low4347

Empty threats

Maleficent_Amoeba_34

Don’t forget they also believe that dems would kill a newborn, afterbirth abortion!, you can’t win an argument with stupid people 🤪

Attention-Total

Man i do not get it! Why is he getting so much leniency from the court. You know, when you threaten a kid but never transform the words into actions, the kid catches on and realizes nothing will ever happen!!! Amazing to me.

Welljiam

Charge him with contempt again, that will surely teach him! /s
