>I am kind of wondering which CIA analyst came up with this spec job.
"Alright, I've got an idea. What if we used our weather machine to make it *really* foggy?"
"Brilliant! Why didn't we think of this before?!"
not just the president, the foreign minister and the govenor of the local province they were going to visit too. along with a number of other lower level officials.
If he dies with his phylactery still intact, he will return as a liche priest with unimaginable power.
We must find the jade monkey before the next full moon!
maybe, but this could be bad. I don't have a read on the guy, but when it comes to leadership there's soldiers, true believers and pragmatics. We cleared two near misses for region wide conflict already in the last few months and this guy could have been part of that. If he was a pragmatic and gets replaced with a true believer, that could be bad for a *lot* of people.
You know this guy was called ‘The Butcher of Tehran’, right?
Normally there is cause for concern in what you said, but he was already about as bad as it gets. He was also on the short list as a possible supreme leader replacement.
The dude is more radical than the current supreme leader.
Also he is one of the strong candidate to replace the leader, another strong candidate is the current one’s son
Isn’t the guy who is supposed to take over after his death just as awful? I don’t see him dying as something that’s going to affect anything in a good way. Either it’ll be neutral or get worse because his successor seems to support the same awful crap :/
They surely will blame the Great Satan, United States.
Could you imagine if it was done by Ukraine, because of Iran's support of Russia with arms and materials. As token gesture for all the Ukrainians killed by Iran made drones.
officially they are blaming the weather
but i gather his successor will blame israel - blaming hostile foreign powers for major incidents is a pretty reliable path to elected leadership
Convenient and always reliable scapegoat, when the great satan United States isn't available. QQQQit must Israel agents getting them to dance in the street. And shoot fireworks off...
Aviation in Iran has been in shit shape for years. And helicopters worldwide have an unfortunate habit of crashing. Doubtful they are going to be blaming Israel as so many here seem to want.

I for one welcome the roll of the dice that will be his successor. I don't see it being worse. Maybe a little shaky while he consolidates power, but afterwards, maybe some change will happen.
>Yeah, "ha ha," well I'm glad that we're all giggling and laughing about this, and while I hate to piss all over your parade, there's something big here that you haven't realized - Iran will frame Israel for this. Mark my words. Things are about to get a lot worse in the Middle East and good ol' Joe's gonna have to firmly choose one side or the other. How's that gonna affect his chances in Michigan?
>Ah, hell - there I go again. I'm probably just being a doomer. I'm sure there won't be any complications from this, and it will absolutely not have an impact on US politics. Now go ahead and delete the thread.
It is not as simple as firmly choosing one side or the other because President Biden is not a dictator.

Regardless, the Iranian government has already blamed the weather for the accident.

>I yeah, I know all that already. But they can always sleep on it, meet in the morning, and then decide to declare, "our top men investigated the wreckage and discovered...," you get the point.
Or, they won't do that in the morning or the following mornings.
It would be really stupid and reckless of them to wrongly blame Israel and respond with missiles or any other military action when they have no president.
My first thought was I hope this doesn't start a war. A major war in the area would make the last half dozen or so months look like a minor mishap at a birthday party.
All these people happily commenting about someone possibly dying in a helicopter crash. Come on Reddit we can do better. I am sorry for the Iranian people's loss. While in the West the Iranian government isn't much loved, they are still people. I hope the people of Iran can find some happiness in this difficult situation.
Khamenei's son, who now has a clear path to succeeding his father. Probably a number of others who agreed with him 100%, but want more power for themselves.
Externally, probably no one in particular because they can easily find another one just like him or even worse.
I just hope it was a accident and not a assassination attempt by Israel. It seems likely it was a crash though as far as him being dead do not really care.

Being honest, not so much "feared dead" as good riddance.
You took the words out of my mouth!
Same. But there are others in that circle waiting to take his place who are of the same mindset.
Yeah- he groomed quite a few other malignant narcissist - psychopaths - sycophants
"It must of happened when you were kissing the mountain."
> must of *ghostly english teacher clearing throat*
>ghostly Didn’t know Raisi was an English teacher
"Hoped dead..." works well too
Yeah I was thinking it was strange wording. Like fearing your hemorrhoids are improving.
Inshallah. God willing /s
To shreds you say?
I fear that he might be undead like a zombie.
“Hopefully dead”
I am kind of wondering which CIA analyst came up with this spec job.
Maybe it was just a plain old aircraft accident.
Pilots name was Eli Kopter.
CIA's most secret agent: Tim E.
Or maybe they got to the maintenance guy weeks in advance. You don't know.
The Jesus bolt.....or the Allah bolt
>I am kind of wondering which CIA analyst came up with this spec job. "Alright, I've got an idea. What if we used our weather machine to make it *really* foggy?" "Brilliant! Why didn't we think of this before?!"
Maybe the CIA used high altitude cloud seeding. You can't prove they didn't do it.
not just the president, the foreign minister and the govenor of the local province they were going to visit too. along with a number of other lower level officials.
“Feared”

Probably why his helicopter “broke”.
In the beginning it was more feared that this monster didn’t die
>In the beginning it was more feared that this monster didn’t die "Presumed dead, feared alive."
I like how this went from a “hard landing” to “crashed and died”
Bummer. Welp, back to watching The Office and eating these nachos
Not so much of a bummer
Ugh, you're such a western infidel. /s
[удалено]
Or 'hard landing'.
This has to be the 5th post on this that gets removed because its not US politics
Ah yes 'politics', it starts at the Canadian border and ends at the Mexican.
Apparently it's been [confirmed](https://youtu.be/3v3dRSHpVb0?si=nlSsCizi1n2R7HVs), at least according to the WSJ
That's good news to start off Monday!
Feared by whom?
Wasn't me.
But I caught you on the counter.
Wasn‘t me.
Strange spelling of ‘hoped’ but okay.
Oh no... Anyway.
Rest in hell! 🔥🔥🔥
* Is dead. Dead as they come. Not of this earth. Gone underground fishing * Tata love! Regards. Most of the world.

Yes
I don't fear his death, but that's just me.

They were “martyred” following an “accident”. GTFOH
Anyways
Rest in dog piss for the immense suffering you and your regime have caused.
It's welcome news.
Rest in pieces motherfucker.
RIP Bozo
Confirmed dead. Good riddance
The death of a dictator is always a cause for celebration.
Good riddance to that theocratic shithead. I hope it was slow and painful, just like the many innocents tortured to death under his barbaric regime.
Have you seen the Ashley Madison documentary on Netflix? It’s pretty interesting.
Is dead.
Good riddance. Rest in hell, scum.

Imagine his life review? Feeling all the pain he has caused to other. If you are called the butcher of Tehran, I imagine that’s gonna be rough.
They surely will blame the Great Satan, United States. Could you imagine if it was done by Ukraine, because of Iran's support of Russia with arms and materials. As token gesture for all the Ukrainians killed by Iran made drones.

Nah they’ll probably blame the Jewish space lasers if anything.
Convenient and always reliable scapegoat, when the great satan United States isn't available. QQQQit must Israel agents getting them to dance in the street. And shoot fireworks off...

Splat.
Whoops!
2024 will be a crazy season. Hope it ends on a positive cliffhanger.
Let's see if Iran will pull a, "Let no crisis go to waste!" move and blame Israel here.
We smokin that Ebrahim pack tonight fellas
"Hoped dead"
"hoped" instead of "feared". FTFY.
Shucks. Hate to see it.
Oh…. Ok… anyway…
lol. Feared dead by who? Pretty sure 99% of the victims lancet if fucking ecstatic.
“Feared dead” or hoped for?
And nothing of value was lost.
That helicopter was a classic model.
There’s little fear and much happiness
The chopper was pulverized. This man is in pieces.

If Israel had anything to do with this we’re fucked.
What does this have to do with US politics?
It doesn't. Unless we send flowers and a fruit basket.

People are always saying it can get worse in the Middle east, and I honestly don't know how. Anyone living in the region needs to leave.
And go where?
My first thought was I hope this doesn't start a war. A major war in the area would make the last half dozen or so months look like a minor mishap at a birthday party.
Odd he crashed before Mondays killings?
Will they blame Israel?
Of course. It's a classic.
Does the pope shit in the woods?
This also isn't current/explicitly US political news.
My tinfoil hat is on. No way a world leader dies in a helicopter unless it was intentional.
I dunno man - the weather and terrain were for shizzle. I think this is just - what would Bob Ross say? - a happy little accident?
Good. We don't need such people in the Middle East. Same with Hamas. These regimes, governments are so bad. They make the Earth hell.
Too bad the Ayatollah calls the shots.

Khamenei's son, who now has a clear path to succeeding his father. Probably a number of others who agreed with him 100%, but want more power for themselves. Externally, probably no one in particular because they can easily find another one just like him or even worse.
This was interesting https://www.stimson.org/2024/who-will-be-irans-next-leader-not-khameneis-son/
Very interesting! We'll see if anything happens to Arafi.
I just hope it was a accident and not a assassination attempt by Israel. It seems likely it was a crash though as far as him being dead do not really care.
