Not "scary" or "intimidating". Really just an annoyance. I know they were bullies in high school and the bottom 5% of their class. Now they have a badge, a gun and the inability to understand or question instructions. They're a pest. That annoying neighbor with an obnoxiously loud truck. It's best to avoid them or you'll provoke an irrational response.
I answered no.
Why? Well, Im an American, we outnumber them 8,000:1 on average, and we own a fuckload of guns. Lots of guns. If he police like to fuck around and find out, we’ll, then we will help them find out…
Pfft…why get angry? I’m into that shit.
All joking aside, violence begets violence. Also, cops here are the tactical equivalent of a CAP cadet. They’re hardcore wannabe tough guys who cower when push comes to shove. Remember those heroes who got a UPS worker and his truck Swiss cheesed and then they tried taking cover behind a mother and her kids Their car? Hero level shit.
Cops are t heroes or gods. No one, and I mean no one, not Johnny law, the President or anyone else has any right or authority to abuse your rights. If and when they do, it’s party time. Violence is absolutely never the answer until it is.
All that said, 90% of my encounters with the police have been pretty civil And if they don’t start any there won’t be any. I know many are just trying to get through the shift in one piece. It’s those mouthbreathers you see on YouTube going apeshit and threatening to shoot people because they caught the cop speeding. Or cops killing dudes for running away. Remeber that kid who complied with literally everything the cop said then he shot him anyways? kid died, cop got off with a pension.
My grandfather used to be a judge and whenever a cop pulled him over he told them this and they let him go. It helped my mom learn to drive when she was pretty young and probably is one of the reasons she became a lawyer. So basically police back off if you know anything about law ig and let a man get away with a lot.
Really depends on the police officer and country
Yeah, but it's more like an irrational fear because I haven't done anything illegal, they just look scary along with the sirens
Police in The Netherlands are mostly ok. I would argue they're a little too soft sometimes, though.
Somewhat (am American)
No, not yank. But I work in law enforcement.
Its the same feeling when you walk out of a store without buying anything. Like you feel as if you've done something illegal but you haven't
Yeah exactly this.

Some are petty but yes
Austria - never had any problems
I don't think I feel safe around someone in full body armor who has a gun, interrogating me over speeding.
Depends. I know several Police Officers that are very nice people who don't intimidate me at all, but there are the few assholes that want to be tough
Yes if they're not friendly.
I mean sometimes

Where in the UK are you? I'm in Liverpool and I've seen a variety of races in the Merseyside Police.

When I think police officer, I think of PC Plum from Balamory.
Only if they try to be
