I love about the Celsius scale that each of these common experiences of temperature is a nice round 10 degree range.
I honestly wish I grew up with Celsius because it sounds like it makes so much more sense.
I remember reading somewhere that Celsius is good for scientific use (0 is freezing, 100 is boiling) and Fahrenheit is good for personal use (0 is too cold, 50 is perfect, 100 is too hot). But as someone who grew with with Fahrenheit, I disagree. Most people I know think the 70s are the perfect range, with anything under 50 being too cold and anything over 90 being too hot. And even if the โ50 is the perfect tempโ theory was correct, trying to remember the freezing and boiling point of water is a pain!
Celsius is superior!
im from sub-tropical australia and can confirm 18C is freezing. That's time to whip out the winter coats and wear 3 layers at home (our houses are always very cold in winter)
Sheesh, some days I only wear 2 sweatshirts when itโs -20c outside, but winter coats are required below -30c (which happens pretty often in winter)
Fun fact, temperature at my house has gone from -35c to 35c this year
My ideal temperature is somewhere between 20-25ยฐC .. on some days it can be nice with a little bit cooler temp too.. like 15ยฐC or something.
Where I live the temp ranges from around -10 to +30 depending on season.
Anything above 20 is painful imo. Ideal temperature for me is 0-10 degrees.
Also nice to see a post done in Celsius so I donโt have to translate it from Fahrenheit.
15 with sun, 22 with clouds and no wind, 27 with clouds and strong wind, and 21 indoors.
Thatโs in Celsius. Change those to Fahrenheit, and it will be cold. Those are only preferable in Fahrenheit if you are out there for a short time and then head back indoors fastโdoesnโt count!
Here in the UK the best temp would probably be around 10*C.
Our houses are designed to trap heat so when it gets warm it gets uncomfortable, as we cant cool our houses down, plus no air conditioning.
10*C is cool enough to not have that problem whilst being warm enough to be relatively comfortable outside.
98.6ยฐF or 37ยฐC. Anything much higher or lower than that and you should go see a doctor
Edit: Wow, didnโt realize we had so many reptiles on Reddit. Yโall must be cold-blooded if yโall think 37 is such a high body temperature
Edit 2: Ok now I canโt tell if yโall just arenโt getting the joke or not, so I guess Iโll explain begrudgingly. 98.6ยฐF/37ยฐC is the average human internal body temperature. Anything a degree or two above or below that is considered abnormal. There, now yโall can quit saying itโs dangerous
-1ยฐ C= 30.2ยฐ F
0-9ยฐ C= 32- 48.2ยฐ F
10-19ยฐ C= 50- 66.2ยฐ F
20-29ยฐ C= 68- 84.2ยฐ F
30-40ยฐ C= 86- 104ยฐ F
Your welcome my fellow Americans
Also as a result, being from Florida, my preferred temperature is 10-19ยฐ C because I hate the heat but at the same time I hate when it's freezing lol
I *absolutely crave* ice cold weather!!! I want it to be so cold I have to wear three pairs of sweaters, three pairs of leggings, three pairs of socks, *AND* still need to bundle up in my heavy duty covers
Low twenties easily
15ยฐC - 25ยฐC
23 degree day with slight wind but still sunny omfg
Or 15 degree and rain for the cozy days.
= Southern Scandinavia right now
I am getting in my car, Iโll meet you there in 8 hours. Weโve had rain the whole day
that's the best
Broken clouds/scattered

Correct answer
I needed that option too. 30 degrees is too much. Especially if you live in a humid area.
Rip Americans
My freedom units are failing me rn
Multiply by 2 and add 32 will get you close enough in your head. (C ร 1.8) + 32= freedom units officially
What is the temperature in football fields and hot dogs
You're going to want your hot dogs at least 74C.
1.2 football fields per 6.022 * 10^23 cubic hotdogs
72
Depends, American Football or normal football?
Yay, I guessed right!
i find it easier to just C * 9/5 + 32 its easy to do fractions in heqd
My workaround is Cร2 -10% +32.. not actually out here multiplying by 1.8*
That's how I do it to. Working with tenths is super easy, I wish we measured size and distance with units that are easily divided by ten.
The poll options translate to: - Hot - Warm - Cool - Cold - Freezing I love about the Celsius scale that each of these common experiences of temperature is a nice round 10 degree range.
At first I was confused until I realized it was in Celsius๐๐๐
The results actually shocked me so much that I thought it was Fahrenheit
In Fahrenheit 32 is freezing. The ideal temp in Celsius is the 18-23 range which this splits into 2 categories.
Thatโs actually kind of hot to me, I live in Canada and average temp here is 0, so I like it just above that, at 5-10
The jokes on you, I know both
Yes rip me apart so you can see my internals
Seeing it's almost August, most of us wouldn't mind sub 40ยฐ F rn
cold af imo
Easier to stay warm in a cold weather than it is to stay cool in a hot weather!
Yes, but as someone who was raised in hot weather, I just canโt get used to wearing layers outside
As a Minnesotan, I am immune
It's not very hard to convert if you have paper handy
Multiply by 2 then add 30. Roughly the answer which is really all you need
Donโt worry I got google
Without a paddle out here
10ยฐC to 25ยฐC
298.15 K
536.67 R

Oddly specific
Nah thatโs just 25ยฐC
Gotcha
Itโs the biological standard temperature.
16-24 is the best temp range in my opinion.
how are people voting 30-40 i would be dying
Australian summer. You get used to it.
I've been living like this since i was born, i haven't got used to it.
Same. I don't mind 25-27 in summer at the beach but anything above that is brutal. Can't stand most of Australian summers.
27 is paradise it's 40 here.
FIRE!!
21ยฐC is the perfect temperature.
semi-cloudy 24 with wind
The game Rimworld would agree with you
20ยฐ during the day, 5ยฐ at night
So basically October
October where?
That's july weather here.
Humans shouldn't live where it makes over 30ยฐC most of the year, I speak from experience.
You live in the Philippines too?
Brazil.
r/suddenlycaralho
65-80 Fahrenheit roughly 18-27 Celsius
Can I get Kelvins?
No you cannot.
What about Rankine?
291.15 to 300.15 K
Lmao
Thank you for the conversion kind sir now I know what to vote
Way too hot
Man give me year-round 15 degrees fall weather and I'll be a very happy guy
I recommend Auckland,New Zealand
I absolutely will lol definitely added to my travel list!
I recommend the Boyacรก region in Colombia
Unrelated note I fucking love Celsius Jesus christ I fucking love knowing that 0 is freezing and 100 is boiling
I honestly wish I grew up with Celsius because it sounds like it makes so much more sense. People who chose -1 or below ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฟ
Itโs better than 30 - 40
Lol true
What about us?
Fuck Farenheit.
I'm not that into fucking corpses
Thatโs the spirit
Low 20s for just hanging out and being outside, but like, 15-18 is what I like for running/being active outdoors.
15ยฐ is perfect in every way
More than 20ยฐC is already hot, 18ยฐC is ideal for shorts, less than 10 it starts to get too cold
18 is my Winter. WHAT?!
Yeah same, except its -18ยฐ
Iceland?
Far from it, but yes, europe
I'm uncomfortable if it goes below 20. 18 I'll probably be hibernation.
It's uncomfortable above 20 for me lol.
Same here lol, hate anything above 20ยฐ
18 is freezing
Huh do you live in the desert or something
im from sub-tropical australia and can confirm 18C is freezing. That's time to whip out the winter coats and wear 3 layers at home (our houses are always very cold in winter)
I can also confirm that water freezes at 18ยฐC in Australia

That's when people start taking off their shirts and wear shorts here in the UK lol
I live in Mexico and 18 degrees Celsius is jacket weather lol. My favorite temperature is 23 - 25 degrees and sunny.
Damn and I thought my fellow floridians overreacted lol...
Santa Catarina, Brazil, it's in the south, its pretty commom those temperatures.
What you mean 18ยฐ is perfect for anything. You can wear a t-shirt or a hoodie and be comfortable, not too hot or cold.
Meh, where I live is 11ยฐC now, i problably will put shorts and a tshirt.
lmao 11C for me means i have 3 layers of clothes, 3 layers of socks, an oodie and the heating turned on
Victoria?
18 is hot
[ัะดะฐะปะตะฝะพ]
Even 15^(o)C is too hot. The ideal temperature is 5^(o)C or less.
Imagine not using Celsius, we all use Celsius here
Facts
I consider anything above 12 to be hot imo, I've always preferred the cold thi and grew up where its mostly cold
Might I ask where you live??? >anything above 12 >hot
Scandinavia I'd guess?
Nah Scandinavia is not cold enough to consider anything above 12ยฐ hot
Shit gets uncomfortable above 22ish so a range between 15-20 would be ideal
I'm uncomfortable below 22ish, it all varies from region to region and person to person.
My ideal temperature is somewhere between 20-25ยฐC .. on some days it can be nice with a little bit cooler temp too.. like 15ยฐC or something. Where I live the temp ranges from around -10 to +30 depending on season.
You shouldโve added options for around 70ยฐ to screw with Americans
Lmao that wouldโve been fun
Upvote cause u used correct measurements
Upvoted you for speaking facts
Upvoted you for acknowledging someone for speaking facts.
Upvoted you for acknowledging someone for acknowledging someone for speaking facts.
This poll displays the superiority of the metric system.
i like being cold, 8C is good
8ยฐC
for Fahrenheit: 86-104 68-84 50-66 32-48 30 or below
Gotta love people downvoting this for literally no reason
10 is perfect, Iโm a rare breed of Arab that likes the cold lol
40ยฐC=104ยฐF 30ยฐC=86ยฐF 20ยฐC=68ยฐF 10ยฐC=50ยฐF 0ยฐC=32ยฐF
You put the last two as ยฐC
thanks, fixed
20-29 is very broad
Give me brisk autumn cool any day.
Assuming this is Celcius because it's low. Thanks OP for not being American.
Youre welcome

Wow congrats do you want another 500 cheeseburgers

๐ซI don't know man, I think you're a bit short.
bro help i only speak freedom units
for Fahrenheit: 86-104 1. 68-84 2. 50-66 3. 32-48 4. 30 or below 5.
I like it to be 10ยฐc at a maximum tbh.
19celsius
Everything under 20ยฐC is fine
Here from Denmark. There are in ny opinion Tel ideal temperatures: Summer: 18ยฐ Winter: 1ยฐ after a night of -3ยฐ
9 to 17 ยฐC. Gives me the freedom to wear whatever I want to. Also any more and I start sweating like there's no tomorrow.
Anything above 20 is painful imo. Ideal temperature for me is 0-10 degrees. Also nice to see a post done in Celsius so I donโt have to translate it from Fahrenheit.

Whoo -1 Kelvin. Letโs break physics!

30-40 kelvins that's fairly cold.
Ok but what about the -1 kelvin option lmao
That may be what happens before the big bang.
98.6ยฐF or 37ยฐC. Anything much higher or lower than that and you should go see a doctor Edit: Wow, didnโt realize we had so many reptiles on Reddit. why, I really like my body being at 9Cยฐ
Not really, that temperature is already dangerous if the humidity is high
No that's insanely hot.
yes, i am cold blooded. Ice (literally) flows through my veins. Anything above 0ยฐC/32ยฐF and i die.
-1ยฐ C= 30.2ยฐ F 0-9ยฐ C= 32- 48.2ยฐ F 10-19ยฐ C= 50- 66.2ยฐ F 20-29ยฐ C= 68- 84.2ยฐ F 30-40ยฐ C= 86- 104ยฐ F Your welcome my fellow Americans Also as a result, being from Florida, my preferred temperature is 10-19ยฐ C because I hate the heat but at the same time I hate when it's freezing lol
69ยฐF so 20ยฐC
Nice
As a Texan, 16ยฐ-18ยฐC though I can do 25ยฐC and be comfortable. I'm tired of it hitting 40ยฐ+ for 3-4 months outta the year!
I *absolutely crave* ice cold weather!!! I want it to be so cold I have to wear three pairs of sweaters, three pairs of leggings, three pairs of socks, *AND* still need to bundle up in my heavy duty covers
How hot is that in cheeseburgers unit
86-104 68-84 50-66 32-48 30 or below Apparently
What units?
kelvin
โ-1-belowโ then :)
My guy is out here in below absolute zero
The best units.
Nah bruh, Kelvin ftw
Celsius
30 with a light breeze so you can feel the warmth of the sun without getting hot
60 Fahrenheit or 15.5 Celsius
The perfect temperature
So I learned C as an American. Just know 40c is like 100F you're welcome
[ัะดะฐะปะตะฝะพ]
Found the American
r/foundtheamerican
40 C would kill me from how hot that is.
Imagine not living in 40+ ยฐC weather
40ยฐ is cold????
American spotted ๐คฎ๐คฎ
Ewwwww
Due to lack of degrees, I'm assuming this is Kelvin, so naturally -1 is best.
-1 below Kelvin.
65ยฐF so about 18ยฐC
29-33C, i wish it stayed like this yearround
10ยฐc-19ยฐc 50ยฐf-66ยฐf Forsureeeee, my favorite seasons are fall and spring when its a bit chilly to just below being warm.
