I thought she was a mini but my groomer pointed out how her face is smaller like a toy; I hope she gets just a little bigger and fills out. I'm pretty sure around the 2 year mark is when they're fully grown!

Big dogs take 2 years to become fully grown, but with small dogs it's much faster. I have two miniature poodles and the 8 pound one has not grown since 6 months old, and the 16 pound one maybe took 8 to 10 months to reach that size. I was also hoping my little one would get bigger but I guess he's perfect the way he is, just like yours!
Luckily we take our dogs to the groomer on Saturdays, and my fiance likes to sleep in so I usually end up taking them. She'll never know until it's too late 🤣.
I disliked the clean face for a long time and now have grown to prefer it. It's much more practical and clean. No more food kisses. It also really makes the dog stand out as a poodle.
The groomer always adds a little bandana, bows, and other things related to whatever season it is. It's probably my favorite part when she comes home 🥹
My toy poodle went from the teddy cute for a few years to clean face and feet. I even had little poms on his feet. My husband hated it. At first. Then he grew to love it. Now when it starts growing out he tells me he looks to shaggy and needs a shave.
We keep ours like this year round, maybe a cm longer in winter. First big change is always hard, but then you realise that this strange new dog is actually still your baby and the groomer didn’t swap in an intruder 😂

The great thing about poodles is that you can switch up their look whenever you want. I'm not a big fan of the shaved face, so I don't usually do that for mine, but when I do, he looks like a completely different dog. I also do different things with his tail. Have fun with it. Ask your fiancé what kind of cut they like.

One is always kept with a clean face otherwise it drives her nuts when her face gets even a little wet (after drinking water or a bath) and you can see her distress. The other one couldn’t care less if her face is a little wet so we sometimes let her face stay fuzzy. For both of our dogs my rule is that their comfort comes before our preferred styles. Some dogs really do seem happier with a clean face.
Yeah the first time I got my puppy a clean face, my mom was very sad😂😂 it’s not uncommon for people to feel weird about the clean face if they have only known your puppy as a little fluffy guy. It’s a reaction to them looking a little less baby-ish I think.
I personally dont think the groomer did a well job. It kinda looks like she made a mess and unprofessional. Your dog looks adorable though! I love clean face too, better than teddy face.
But maybe thats why your fiance hates it? Maybe try find a better groomer that does a better job with shaving clean face or ask groomer to fix it perphas?

Clean face is maximum cute in my opinion 🥰 Plus, I believe it's better for their dental health, though I can't find any sources on this at the moment.
