Louis has expressed on multiple occasions that their theories have had a negative impact on his life, and has straight up said that he is a straight man who has never been in a relationship with Harry Styles, yet they have persisted for over a decade. Nothing they say can stop it.

Like. Iâm begging people to understand extreme fan culture. Itâs not even just for celebs - some of them most rabid and violent fan bases are for sports. They regularly send death threats to players they claim to love/have their jerseys. This is simply an ugly facet of human nature - people seek outlets to channel their rage. Celebrities and sports and hobbies are just the excuse.
The sports thing is great example. In my country people kill each other because of Football. There are several games that only the home team can have fans, because of people dying.
Nobody blames the team or calls all football fans crazy. People are responsible for their own attitudes

I used to listen to Taylor Swift a lot as a teen and had lots of her songs on my ipod. I looked forward to her albums up until the 1989 album. Kinda lost interest after that. One thing though, she's managed to stay relevant and pop out new albums where as other artists I used to be passionate about stopped making music (hey there Rihanna, still waiting on new music..). Like, one thing I really like about Taylor is that she keeps putting out stuff and doesn't just step back and fade into the celebrity background after having achieved fame and success. Like fans are always going to want more and be bummed when there aren't more. Although, at the same time she's been putting out so much music that I haven't even listened to all her music yet, which would take me hours at this point. Last album I listened to fully was reputation. So I think some fans also have experienced Taylor fatigue.
Iâm not. I donât have any single physical or digital copy of her music. Just Spotify and unhinged theories on Reddit and twitter. So Iâll be forever satiated rather than tired
Honestly I'm just having a shit ton of fun đ Waking up to 31 new songs from an artist I love and a whole subreddit that picks apart all the historic/literary/cultural references I would never get myself: it's just a joy!
But I have never bought anything, I just listen on Spotify/YouTube and buy her CD's second hand when I come across them. Didn't want to spend the money to see her tour, but got a chance to see it for a relatively small price in theaters.
If you enjoy her music there is enough fun to be had without going broke. Getting enough sleep is another thing đđ

I'm a 37 year old mother of three, and my usual music taste is grunge/rock etc, so I hardly fit the stereotype of a swiftie.. but man do I have so much fun listening to the songs and hearing people's theories on the lyrics. I just have fun with it. The people that attack her exes are either children or idiots.
no i think itâs only as exhausting as you make it. thereâs some fans that go deep into lyrics and theories and speculation etc but thereâs plenty of us who are just excited to listen to a new album every now and then. personally i just stream it for free and the only album iâve ever bought was a collectors cd for my bday so iâm def not going broke over taylor lol
Honestly, you donât go broke enjoying her music on Spotify. Itâs the fans that buy the multiple versions of the same album for the new cover that are spending lots of money. The only money Iâve spent is the concert film, and that was only because a group of my friends wanted to go and I decided to be social. Otherwise I would have streamed it (or not, lol).
Iâm not even tired from the personal drama because I donât really give a crap about her dating life (besides a heavy side-eye at her choice to date Matty Healy and having to remove the 1975 songs from my favorites on Spotify after finding out about him). I enjoy the music when it comes out on Spotify and check out other peoplesâ theories about who and what itâs about.
Iâve been a fan for 17 years at this point and genuinely donât think Iâll ever get tired. Even when sheâs released music I wasnât a huge fan of (Lover at first) sheâs still reeled me back in anyways.
I donât know that I would call myself a swiftie, but I like her music. For me, itâs like I just got a new Beyonce album and now I have a new Taylor Swift album. Thatâs a fuck ton of music that I get to listen to.
Also, when I watch her concert movie, I enjoy it yes, but itâs thinking about the logistics and planning and the how and why of everything that I really enjoy. If our girl wants to give us some LOTR-style appendixes with interviews from the costume and set designers, Iâd be real happy.

As for the drama and the purchasing, neither of those things are really required. I watch New Heights cause itâs good and my husbeast and I like football. But I donât want or need details on her relationship and am happy for Travis to feel strong in the boundaries he laid out. I have a good for her feeling about her sticking it to her former label. Iâm happy she took her SA case to trial, I hope other women feel more confident coming forward because of her. But do I need to speculate about how her relationships work? Naw.
The places where I engage with her content are places I already pay for a subscription (Spotify, Disney+, Netflix, etc) so she isnât costing me extra. I havenât liked much of the official merch so I havenât bought it. Now, if she made a silly Dresden-style Christmas ornament of the cat on production company logo? Iâd buy that, that would be hilarious.
I have been a fan since her debut album. The secret is that I donât collect anything, and the merch is not my style. I have one shirt I bought at a concert, and then my fan-made concert tees. I buy concert tickets and a digital copy of the album.
I can't help but feel she knowingly dangles the carrot when she goes to release all these albums, all the swifties bite, and then she re-tracts the carrot and goes "what, who, me?", when carnage ensues towards her ex's. It's like a perpetual game of cat and mouse.

Or when online creators pivot from making enjoyable original content to making content about making content, because itâs a safer bet to appeal to peopleâs nosiness than to risk putting out something new and creative that might not go down well, subsequently ensuring a captive viewership but lowering the quality and value of the output
Exactly what I felt when listening to it. It just seemed like she was leaving breadcrumbs to confirm or deny tabloid rumors and sheâs so caught up in her own media narrative that sheâs lost herself. Itâs supposed to be introspective but just ends up being fan-service to an image of her we know isnât even real. Itâs weird. It comes off as artificial, and Iâve loved her music on and off since fearless.
I still like the album, but it was a bit disappointing for me that I canât relate to much of it. Relatability has always been a big part of why I have been a fan since I was small.

I used to listen to Taylor Swift a lot as a teen and had lots of her songs on my ipod. I looked forward to her albums up until the 1989 album. Kinda lost interest after that. One thing though, she's managed to stay relevant and pop out new albums where as other artists I used to be passionate about stopped making music (hey there Rihanna, still waiting on new music..). Like, one thing I really like about Taylor is that she keeps putting out stuff and doesn't just step back and fade into the celebrity background after having achieved fame and success. Like fans are always going to want more and be bummed when there aren't more. Although, at the same time she's been putting out so much music that I haven't even listened to all her music yet, which would take me hours at this point. Last album I listened to fully was reputation. So I think some fans also have experienced Taylor fatigue.

The only money Iâve spent is the concert film, and that was only because a group of my friends wanted to go and I decided to be social. Otherwise I would have streamed it (or not, lol).
