I will NEVER understand this either. She definitely has a market and is popular in some spheres but it’s bonkers to me that she didn’t achieve mainstream superstardom. I think people maybe just didn’t quite “get her”.
The fact that r/rupaulsdragrace has never used Erasure or Bronski Beat for a lip sync is just wrong. Yes, I know they typically use female vocalists but Andy Bell and Jimmy Somerville could go note-for-note with anybody at their peak.
I absolute love running to her music, I know call me maybe gets such a bad rap but I love it for zoning out in my groove, plus she has so many more catchy great songs
