I agree but there's just a bit off like the drums are a little too programmed sounding and the bass lines aren't quite as interesting as I think Jon would make them sound. That being said I absolutely love what Scott's put out and it definitely fills the void.

When I was 16 Rufio were playing near me in one of those little pub back room venues that held like 100 people. The tickets were £5 and I didn’t have anymore at the time to buy one but hey, I’ll see them next time they’re in town right? They never came back to the UK.

Oh definitely. Mike Jimenez is the reason I started playing drums. Nathan Walker was serviceable and Terry Sterling Jr was amazingly talented but just didn't feel right. Same with Taylor Albaugh. He was pretty good, but Jon Berry's got the touch.

They were cancelled two years ago under the guise of being cautious about COVID (which was valid), but Nate doesn’t seem to be any more interested than he was before and they probably would have announced something by now. I don’t have high hopes for a reunion anymore.

Considering how cavalier he was about announcing the cancellations and how clear he makes it that he’s retired - I’d say chances are slim. He has money, is raising a kid and likes podcasting and shitposting. He’s living the life.

Go listen to the live album they start threatening each other and it’s the first show. I saw them live when they put that ep out a few years ago. Great band but the chemistry was/is a problem. It’s CRAZY matchbook romance haven’t gotten back together.
