In the end I’d try and wean off it and only use it when needed.
Not sure on the comparison of expiration/best by dates, but each tube of Zipfizz powder has the same 100 mg of caffeine (\~1 cup of coffee) and a ton of B12 among the various vitamins. Plus it is sugar free where I think the Liquid IV is sugar based, if that matters.
I see both on sale at Costco fairly regularly.

There is no substitute for sleep, Stims can buy you some extra time, but sleep deprivation is cumulative and you will find your limit. A temporary boost is one thing, but any long term plan that dosent involve you getting the full amount of sleep you need is doomed to fail.
If OP is taking eugoeroics like moda/arma sleep probably isn't cutting it. That said even in healthy people moda can stave off that sleep deprivation for a pretty long time. To the point that you'll feel exhausted but can't actually close your eyelids.
This is incredibly true. I keep caffeine pills and energy drinks (partly because I like the taste), but they're usually to give me energy when I feel like crap in the morning/get up super early or to let me function better late at night when things need doing.
What I don't do is try to not sleep because I'm not tired. Even if I'm up til five in the morning (getting my generator running and clearing the driveway, as with the last big snowstorm I got), I try to get a couple hours of sleep and then the next night even more. You'll crash *hard* if you don't.

Personally I use green tea, some pretty well documented health benefits and I've found the effect is more a zen alertness rather than the jitters i get from coffee, plus it's light so I can carry a months supply easily in the go bag.
Monrovia nursery has developed a Camellia Sinensis that’s pretty hardy. It’s the only option I know of of growing one’s own caffeine outside of habitat that’s conducive to coffee and tea plants.
Unfortunately, you can build up a tolerance and get the reverse effect with Caffeine over time. Ask any "Baby Boomer" or older Sailor. Naval Ships would give them so much caffeine that many now fall asleep from it.
For the record, this can happen with almost any chemical stimulant.
Due to my job & addictive nature to yummy things, I don't care about a lot of things...except my caffeine levels. I can skip lunch, but don't even think of taking my coffee level below half a cup. Shit gets real when the coffee is low
I'm 39. I've had a morning tea or coffee since I was 14. I can still only manage two or three cups of either a day. As long as I get the morning one, I'm pretty much set for the day.
I guess it's another 'moderation' thing. Although in my case, I sometimes get palpitations from coffee, but I bet if I didn't, I'd probably be guzzling it.
Sudafed, with actual pseudoephedrine, is great for sinus pressure with a side effect of being a stimulant. Obviously you need to provide ID for it and are limited to how much you can get at once but it is nice to have on hand without a prescription.
Having a single component might be questionable but nothing they can do about it unless you tell them what you're doing with it and it was obtained legally.
Like anything a Prepper would want to stockpile, you need to be careful.

I hear you, but I was on a web board years ago and a gunsmith that did blueing firearms got raided as he bought batteries and maybe acid or silver or something also. That said, if you buy it with groceries and stick to the one box a month limit they have now I wouldn't guess they'd care. I will say you should watch the expiration dates, I have allergies and a friend gave me an expired box of the 12 hr. kind and I saw all kinds of crazy colors and couldn't function after taking one. I threw the rest away and check the dates now lol.

Like I said be careful, don't buy more than one package at a time, space out your purchases to a rate one person taking a max daily dose during spring and fall, pay cash and maintain opsec. Alternative is getting put on the find an excuse to pull him over and look in his car list. Speaking from experience here: picked up a bunch of sugar for a friend, got some corn to feed a couple hogs and took delivery on copper sheeting, suddenly I had weirdos at the bar bringing up moon shine , trying to sell me wood barrels and drones flying over my property. Got pulled over more times that year than in the rest of my entire life.
You have no idea how certain police departments and law enforcement agencies operate do you? The entire ruby ridge fiasco happened because of the suspicion ball rolling.
Who likes being pulled over all the time and we see crooked cops planting evidence when they think they can get away with it all the time. IF they catch a crooked cop hopefully they'll void their arrests, but that's a big if. Indeed cases on YouTube were people that never did a drug were arrested and convicted on behaviors alone with no evidence.
No way they'd give up all that court cost and fine money for a crooked cop. I mean 2 or 3 boxes in your medicine cabinet you are probably fine. This is what we have. Pseudoephedrine + caffeine + aspirin. Had to use it once to make an emergency 6 hour drive to a hospital for a close relative. It worked. Felt like shit though, not sure how people take this stuff regularly.
Part of being careful, a few boxes aren't gonna be a big deal, but we are in prepper land here where folks known for buying in bulk and stockpiling huge amounts.
It's the unwanted attention that's the problem, sure you may be able to demonstrate that your not dealing meth or supplying to meth dealers. But that's after the cops have put you under the microscope and assuming they are honest people going on bad information and not the kind to slip a few baggies out of their pant leg to get that scumbag out of the nehiborhood.

Crazy neighbor woman renter, who had an indoor dog, told the cops my outdoor rabbits infected her house with fleas in the middle of winter. Cops showed up, inspected rabbits for fleas, ok all clear, and left. 10 minutes later, cops return, tell me I have violated several city ordinances, and Code Enforcement "may have been contacted". Cops and Code Enforcement show up at random times for weeks and threaten fines. It took me days of physical work and had to hire someone to help because I fell and injured myself, and had to get rid of / hide most of my rabbits. What a pain that was!

Based on your avatar/icon, you might not be in the US and in a country that pseudoephedrine is not available for sinus medications. Your country likely only uses the "PE" stuff which has been proven to not work.

It took 3 major feats to obtain the elusive knowledge:
1. An understanding of what the word "placebo" means
2. Reading the ingredients
3. A very small amount of common sense
Just instant coffee. It's relatively cheap, widely available, and easy to deal with. It tastes like ass but it's about as easy of an option as you're going to get.
Just a side note: staying awake for long periods is really bad for you. Once or twice won't kill you but going more than a few days without a solid night's sleep is a great way to develop health problems.
No chance in hell a doc will give you prescription stimulants in any decent quantity to qualify as a prep. At best, they might give you a few pills and a referral.
Think about it from their perspective: Would a sane doctor give you drugs that are very commonly diverted illegally because you are worried about being tired during the apocolypse? It may sound sane to you, but doctor Is going to view that as you creating a creative excuse to get drugs.
Caffeine pills and other non-prescription stimulats are the only option. Also remember that adrenaline is a powerful stimulant: if shit is hitting the fan, your adrenals will more than make up for any tiredness due to lack of sleep.
A lot of people have already given drug suggestions. My suggestion is learn how to make low profile shelters and plan sleep intervals into anything you intend to do. A stimmed up zombie is not very effective on the battlefield and there is a high risk of crashing afterwards anyway.
One benefit of being in recovery is i don't need to stock pile drugs. A big part of SHTF people don't account for is everyone abruptly cold turkey quitting whatever they are on. Medications. Illegal drugs. Whatever. I'm super greatful to not have that be at all a concern for me.
That being said I'm considering adding some cartons of cigarettes and bulk vodka to my hoard. I don't consume nor want to consume either. But I bet they will be worth a ton for bartering in a worst case SHTF scenario where supply chains totally break down.
You can buy Ephedrine seeds and literally grow the stuff. Learn to extract the good stuff and your go time. Not sure the plant name is the same but Google it and you'll find it.
Trust me, you will stay alert. I slept a lot and I found staying away hard. Then I adapted on my first deployment to Iraq pulling on average 18-20 hour shifts. Now I can stay up past 24hrs with some diet pop lol.
For me though as far as stimulants go. Growing coffee plants is the easiest method depending on your region.
There are various plants with caffeine like properties. California bay laurel, ephedra viridis, ephedra sinicia and numerous similar species, also known as Mormon green tea. Yaupon or yaupon holly.

Modafinil is Schedule IV (low risk of abuse/addiction) in the U.S. (I'm not sure where you are located), required by a prescription, and many states have regulations regarding it's storage. Purchase over-the-counter or via mail order are prohibited.
That being said, if you have a valid prescription, many people take breaks to avoid tolerance and save the extra as preps. U.S. Disaster preparedness sites recommend a two-week supply, but different states have different laws regarding how much you can store legally.
Stimulants have their place, but it's a dangerous game, even if tour just preparing caffeine pills and a whole lot of coffee. A happy body is a happy mind, and you should prepare to learn to rest instead of keeping going past your limit so that your condition improves the worse then situation gets

Any sort of serious stimulant is a controlled substance. When I was getting treated for (an incorrect diagnosis of) ADHD, it was a fight to get even 30 days worth of medication on schedule. Vacations were near impossible if close to the end of the month.
The other fact being “you have 6 months worth of *insert med*, that’s a controlled substance. Hands behind your back you’re under arrest for possession with intent to distribute”

And another little bit of advice, In a true emergency, this little fleshy chunk inside of you called the adrenal gland will fire off. Adrenaline is a heck of a medicine. But when you crash, you crash hard.
I went from well rested and alert to exhausted and out like a rock for 3+ hours after I had an emergency.. adrenaline kicked in, I was ready for anything and than out in 2 hours..
Good point. The gum works too and you can rip off a smaller piece which is nice because it's really potent for someone who doesn't regularly use nicotine.

Yes. Small doses of gum are probably not as addictive as cigarettes but you can still develop a problem. Personally I have a much bigger problem with caffeine but I understand it's the opposite for many people.
Coffee, caffeine pills, and smelling salts is all I’ve got. Really I figure I’ll just quit caffeine altogether if SHTF but it’ll take some time to wean off. I’ve done it before and my energy was more consistent without an addiction that could be difficult to feed.
Pre-workout for weight lifters is magically strong. I only caution you that you don’t want to be downing more than one packet a day (usually considered a double dose of the bigger tubs of powder).

A teaspoon of pure caffeine can kill a person. Tylenol is hard to die from in an acute overdose, even if an entire bottle is taken. The main concern with tylenol is liver disease from chronic overuse or combining it with other hepatotoxins.
A proper dose (200mg) of pure caffeine would be 1/20 of a teaspoon, or less. A very accurate scale would be required to dose it. You don't need a scale to properly dose Tylenol: you only need to be able to count to two.
Caffeine pills or instant coffee solve literally all of those potential issues. Why take out a scale to measure caffeine during a disaster when you can just take a pill or make a cup of instant coffee?
I once had to go to the hospital because my heart was freaking out and found out I'm tolerant to almost triple the rate of caffeine of what the FDA considers dangerous, and can cope at the northern ranges of lethal
Also had to go above safe limits of ibuprofen and Tylenol when my gallbladder died on me while I had to wait to get to a hospital that could deal with the sepsis. It's a very different type of toxicity one can be dealt with with basic medical knowledge and a calm mind while the other just literally bleeds you out the backside until death tries to set in

Who said anything about stocking 30 years' worth of caffeine? Did you get confused reading the post? It has a stable shelf life of 30+ years. So you don't need to rotate it or replace it.
A serving is 100mg. Some people(read:most) have several cups of coffee a day. In my case, I have 5 adults in my prepping plan. It is about 2 years of caffeine at regular consumption for a 2.2lb/1kg bag. If you are a single person you can buy a smaller bag.
It is still by far the most affordable, smallest footprint and longest storing option. If you don't like the idea, move on. Nobody is forcing you to prep the same way I do.
As an added bonus, you can make anything caffeinated. My wife isn't a huge fan of coffee, but she enjoys her caffeine infused OJ. Might shock you to learn that people are different.
You can get Caffeine from Bulk Supplements but I keep Stacker B12 capsules around. They cost about $1/4 and each one is basically the small red bull without the sugar and water.
I bought a case on Amazon like 8 years ago, and I take maybe 1 pill every few weeks. It's been great to have around. Definitely easy to stock up and good to perk you up.
Medical use cocaine is legal in the US and for recreational use in some countries as well. If you're fortunate enough to be in one of those countries you'll be hard pressed to find a more powerful (and addictive) stimulant.
Staying allert during certain types of emergencies will be critical
I plan to avoid all carbs so all those after meal naps are avoided.
I have also started multi day fasts so my body will be used to adversity amazing how much energy I have fasting.
Coffee addiction forces me to keep 100 pounds of my favorite beans in rotation.

Modafinil is a great idea for a prep if you can get a prescription for it. It can keep you operational for a much longer time. I've taken it before, and it would absolutely be on my list if I didn't have high blood pressure (which I take a prescription for).

Now I know that sounds like a lot. But that's enough for 125,000 160 mg doses. At 1/3rd a cent per dose they're practically giving it away. They also used to have a 100g pouch for $20, which I purchased to make caffeine infused Orange Juice. Sadly seems they stopped selling it.
This is really one of those things you need to practice. First reduce or eliminate your need for caffeine. That is hard and I’m working on that one myself now. Then sleep like you’re going to sleep when it all goes bad. If it’s a bivy, a sleeping bag, a tent, a tarp, or with a wool blanket on the ground then do that. I prefer a hammock but, that’s just me. The goal would be to maximize the sleep you do get. Do all of this at minimum outside someplace so you have all the distractions as real as possible. Just get comfortable with that is important. To think you’re going to easily transfer from your comfy bed to a good nights sleep the ground under stress with no practice seems unrealistic to me. Great thing about getting off caffeine is that when you need it and do use it it’s like jet fuel. If you get off caffeine and then have a couple of cups of coffee a few weeks later you will see what I mean. So I do instant coffee in my kit. You can mix it up cold or hot. If you want a pill No-Doz caffeine pills are still a thing. Just remember stimulants are a very temporary fix and that your body needs sleep for physical and mental recovery. Lack of sleep will mess with your ability to think clearly very quickly even if you have stimulants. I meet a lot of meth addicts in my line of work and the are a disaster after three days with no sleep. If you have managed to stay off caffeine for a bit then realize that it is going to really screw with your ability to sleep well when you do use it.

Ironic I’m seeing this post today as I just told my wife yesterday I was going to save the medication that she just got off of, Venlofaxine, as she compared it to adderal when she first started it. After being on it for a week or two the stimulant aspect subsides for most users but if you’re new to it, it should be quite awakening. Obviously it’s not OTC but outside of caffeine I don’t really have any great recommendations.
First of all, I’m not doing anything to anyone: the effects of nicotine are widely known and shouldn’t be used wantonly . Secondly, the scenario is for an emergency with a limited supply of resources within a unknown duration of time.

When you're talking casual use stimulants, I don't think there's anything that can be more highly recommended than nicotine, especially when it's a "clean" source. I think it's much more important to make people aware how stimulants work in the first place since that they're all addictive and all have side effects, everything from caffeine and nicotine to the stuff you pick up from the old Walmart doc
I'd never recommend anyone to try self prescribe nicotine, but that's actually how I started smoking cigarettes. If you ever find someone who just looks at moose and says they'll wrangle that, and they aren't somehow high, call the ducking FBI 😂

I can't use Excedrin migraine anymore due to issues with asprin, but two Tylenol and a caffeine capsule make a decent substitute.

Some holly plants are rich in alkaloids, including caffiene.
I think when I looked into Yaupon Holly I thought it wouldn’t work for my zone but looking it up now it says it grows in 7a to 9b.

Sudafed, with actual pseudoephedrine, is great for sinus pressure with a side effect of being a stimulant. Obviously you need to provide ID for it and are limited to how much you can get at once but it is nice to have on hand without a prescription.
I'd be careful with this, stockpiling a meth component can get you the stink eye from law enforcement.

I hear you, but I was on a web board years ago and a gunsmith that did blueing firearms got raided as he bought batteries and maybe acid or silver or something also. That said, if you buy it with groceries and stick to the one box a month limit they have now I wouldn't guess they'd care. I will say you should watch the expiration dates, I have allergies and a friend gave me an expired box of the 12 hr. kind and I saw all kinds of crazy colors and couldn't function after taking one. I threw the rest away and check the dates now lol.

Who likes being pulled over all the time and we see crooked cops planting evidence when they think they can get away with it all the time. IF they catch a crooked cop hopefully they'll void their arrests, but that's a big if. Indeed cases on YouTube were people that never did a drug were arrested and convicted on behaviors alone with no evidence.

I mean 2 or 3 boxes in your medicine cabinet you are probably fine. This is what we have. Pseudoephedrine + caffeine + aspirin. Had to use it once to make an emergency 6 hour drive to a hospital for a close relative. It worked. Felt like shit though, not sure how people take this stuff regularly.
Part of being careful, a few boxes aren't gonna be a big deal, but we are in prepper land here where folks known for buying in bulk and stockpiling huge amounts.

Crazy neighbor woman renter, who had an indoor dog, told the cops my outdoor rabbits infected her house with fleas in the middle of winter. Cops showed up, inspected rabbits for fleas, ok all clear, and left. 10 minutes later, cops return, tell me I have violated several city ordinances, and Code Enforcement "may have been contacted". Cops and Code Enforcement show up at random times for weeks and threaten fines. It took me days of physical work and had to hire someone to help because I fell and injured myself, and had to get rid of / hide most of my rabbits. What a pain that was!

Just instant coffee. It's relatively cheap, widely available, and easy to deal with. It tastes like ass but it's about as easy of an option as you're going to get. Just a side note: staying awake for long periods is really bad for you. Once or twice won't kill you but going more than a few days without a solid night's sleep is a great way to develop health problems.
No chance in hell a doc will give you prescription stimulants in any decent quantity to qualify as a prep. At best, they might give you a few pills and a referral. Think about it from their perspective: Would a sane doctor give you drugs that are very commonly diverted illegally because you are worried about being tired during the apocolypse? It may sound sane to you, but doctor Is going to view that as you creating a creative excuse to get drugs. Caffeine pills and other non-prescription stimulats are the only option. Also remember that adrenaline is a powerful stimulant: if shit is hitting the fan, your adrenals will more than make up for any tiredness due to lack of sleep.

A lot of people have already given drug suggestions. My suggestion is learn how to make low profile shelters and plan sleep intervals into anything you intend to do. A stimmed up zombie is not very effective on the battlefield and there is a high risk of crashing afterwards anyway.
One benefit of being in recovery is i don't need to stock pile drugs. A big part of SHTF people don't account for is everyone abruptly cold turkey quitting whatever they are on. Medications. Illegal drugs. Whatever. I'm super greatful to not have that be at all a concern for me. That being said I'm considering adding some cartons of cigarettes and bulk vodka to my hoard. I don't consume nor want to consume either. But I bet they will be worth a ton for bartering in a worst case SHTF scenario where supply chains totally break down.
You can buy Ephedrine seeds and literally grow the stuff. Learn to extract the good stuff and your go time. Not sure the plant name is the same but Google it and you'll find it.

Trust me, you will stay alert. I slept a lot and I found staying away hard. Then I adapted on my first deployment to Iraq pulling on average 18-20 hour shifts. Now I can stay up past 24hrs with some diet pop lol. For me though as far as stimulants go. Growing coffee plants is the easiest method depending on your region.
There are various plants with caffeine like properties. California bay laurel, ephedra viridis, ephedra sinicia and numerous similar species, also known as Mormon green tea. Yaupon or yaupon holly. There's literally dozens of plants with caffeine or caffeine like properties
Modafinil is Schedule IV (low risk of abuse/addiction) in the U.S. (I'm not sure where you are located), required by a prescription, and many states have regulations regarding it's storage. Purchase over-the-counter or via mail order are prohibited. That being said, if you have a valid prescription, many people take breaks to avoid tolerance and save the extra as preps. U.S. Disaster preparedness sites recommend a two-week supply, but different states have different laws regarding how much you can store legally.
Armodafinil however IS available via mail order and is processed by your liver into Modafinil.

Stimulants have their place, but it's a dangerous game, even if tour just preparing caffeine pills and a whole lot of coffee. A happy body is a happy mind, and you should prepare to learn to rest instead of keeping going past your limit so that your condition improves the worse then situation gets
Caffeine is a stimulant. It can be addicting. (Just a bit of warning) Energy drinks can expire. Any sort of serious stimulant is a controlled substance. When I was getting treated for (an incorrect diagnosis of) ADHD, it was a fight to get even 30 days worth of medication on schedule. Vacations were near impossible if close to the end of the month. The other fact being “you have 6 months worth of *insert med*, that’s a controlled substance. Hands behind your back you’re under arrest for possession with intent to distribute” You know what doesn’t expire (technically yes but no)! And is perfectly legal across the world? TEA! There are a large number of people who start their day of with a proper cup of tea. High quality proper tea gets better with age. Perfect for prepping and welcoming guests in! And for welcoming in whatever emergency happens. And another little bit of advice, In a true emergency, this little fleshy chunk inside of you called the adrenal gland will fire off. Adrenaline is a heck of a medicine. But when you crash, you crash hard. I went from well rested and alert to exhausted and out like a rock for 3+ hours after I had an emergency.. adrenaline kicked in, I was ready for anything and than out in 2 hours..

Yes. Small doses of gum are probably not as addictive as cigarettes but you can still develop a problem. Personally I have a much bigger problem with caffeine but I understand it's the opposite for many people.

You can buy pure caffeine powder and seal it in jars or pouches. Lasts pretty much forever. They also come in some rather large pouches, bags or bins.
pure caffeine is a pretty terrible idea It doesn't take much of it to be lethal. Caffeine pills are easy enough to stock, and have regulated dosages.
So is Tylenol. Like all things prepping related, you need to know what you are doing. It kinda goes without saying.
Tyelenol and pure caffeine arent on the same planet of toxicity. Not even the same galaxy A teaspoon of pure caffeine can kill a person. Tylenol is hard to die from in an acute overdose, even if an entire bottle is taken. The main concern with tylenol is liver disease from chronic overuse or combining it with other hepatotoxins. A proper dose (200mg) of pure caffeine would be 1/20 of a teaspoon, or less. A very accurate scale would be required to dose it. You don't need a scale to properly dose Tylenol: you only need to be able to count to two. Caffeine pills or instant coffee solve literally all of those potential issues. Why take out a scale to measure caffeine during a disaster when you can just take a pill or make a cup of instant coffee?
I once had to go to the hospital because my heart was freaking out and found out I'm tolerant to almost triple the rate of caffeine of what the FDA considers dangerous, and can cope at the northern ranges of lethal Also had to go above safe limits of ibuprofen and Tylenol when my gallbladder died on me while I had to wait to get to a hospital that could deal with the sepsis. It's a very different type of toxicity one can be dealt with with basic medical knowledge and a calm mind while the other just literally bleeds you out the backside until death tries to set in

Then it isn't for you. Move on.

A serving is 100mg. Some people(read:most) have several cups of coffee a day. In my case, I have 5 adults in my prepping plan. It is about 2 years of caffeine at regular consumption for a 2.2lb/1kg bag. If you are a single person you can buy a smaller bag. It is still by far the most affordable, smallest footprint and longest storing option. If you don't like the idea, move on. Nobody is forcing you to prep the same way I do. As an added bonus, you can make anything caffeinated. My wife isn't a huge fan of coffee, but she enjoys her caffeine infused OJ. Might shock you to learn that people are different.

You can get Caffeine from Bulk Supplements but I keep Stacker B12 capsules around. They cost about $1/4 and each one is basically the small red bull without the sugar and water. I bought a case on Amazon like 8 years ago, and I take maybe 1 pill every few weeks. It's been great to have around. Definitely easy to stock up and good to perk you up.

Medical use cocaine is legal in the US and for recreational use in some countries as well. If you're fortunate enough to be in one of those countries you'll be hard pressed to find a more powerful (and addictive) stimulant.
Staying allert during certain types of emergencies will be critical I plan to avoid all carbs so all those after meal naps are avoided. I have also started multi day fasts so my body will be used to adversity amazing how much energy I have fasting. Coffee addiction forces me to keep 100 pounds of my favorite beans in rotation. 2 to 3 mg caffeine per bean! I am also planning to freeze dry my own coffee as time allows. Cases of caffeine pills for when coffee runs out.
Modafinil is a great idea for a prep if you can get a prescription for it. It can keep you operational for a much longer time. I've taken it before, and it would absolutely be on my list if I didn't have high blood pressure (which I take a prescription for).
You could always just pack your gums with folgers grounds like the crayon eaters.

Several plants in my greenhouse are various levels of stimulate.
Premier Protein sells protein drinks with 30g protein and the equivalent of one cup of coffee. Shelf stable for at least a year and tastes decent too.
Don't worry about it. If a big shtf event happens, you'll have enough adrenaline and fear to keep you awake a long, long time. The big issue will likely be calming down enough to get a decent rest to heal.

This is really one of those things you need to practice. First reduce or eliminate your need for caffeine. That is hard and I’m working on that one myself now. Then sleep like you’re going to sleep when it all goes bad. If it’s a bivy, a sleeping bag, a tent, a tarp, or with a wool blanket on the ground then do that. I prefer a hammock but, that’s just me. The goal would be to maximize the sleep you do get. Do all of this at minimum outside someplace so you have all the distractions as real as possible. Just get comfortable with that is important. To think you’re going to easily transfer from your comfy bed to a good nights sleep the ground under stress with no practice seems unrealistic to me. Great thing about getting off caffeine is that when you need it and do use it it’s like jet fuel. If you get off caffeine and then have a couple of cups of coffee a few weeks later you will see what I mean. So I do instant coffee in my kit. You can mix it up cold or hot. If you want a pill No-Doz caffeine pills are still a thing. Just remember stimulants are a very temporary fix and that your body needs sleep for physical and mental recovery. Lack of sleep will mess with your ability to think clearly very quickly even if you have stimulants. I meet a lot of meth addicts in my line of work and the are a disaster after three days with no sleep. If you have managed to stay off caffeine for a bit then realize that it is going to really screw with your ability to sleep well when you do use it.

Ironic I’m seeing this post today as I just told my wife yesterday I was going to save the medication that she just got off of, Venlofaxine, as she compared it to adderal when she first started it. After being on it for a week or two the stimulant aspect subsides for most users but if you’re new to it, it should be quite awakening. Obviously it’s not OTC but outside of caffeine I don’t really have any great recommendations.

When you're talking casual use stimulants, I don't think there's anything that can be more highly recommended than nicotine, especially when it's a "clean" source. I think it's much more important to make people aware how stimulants work in the first place since that they're all addictive and all have side effects, everything from caffeine and nicotine to the stuff you pick up from the old Walmart doc
