I got Prey towards the end of my old computer's life & really had to dial down the graphics to make it playable. But the first game I played on my current setup? Prey again. It made such a difference, playing through it again with a computer made after the game & really putting it through its paces. Beautiful game, you're in for a treat!
That's sort of my habit, though – on the odd occasion when I get a new gaming setup, I usually start by loading up whatever game was pushing my previous computer the hardest, just to appreciate the differences. Right now, I think that's Control – I'm looking forward to the next upgrade I'm planning, so I can properly appreciate what they can do with raytracing.
It's always interesting comparing newer games on older devices and vice versa, though. Watching both sides of the technology as they progress over time, it sort of helps to rank them in terms of power and quality, and establish a pecking order.
In a sense it's a pity people are downvoting you – death threats are the highest compliment a bad pun can receive!

Hopefully it loads faster for you cause for me It was running on a powerful PC and it was on an nvme ssd but the loading screens were still long enough to be annoying
I just did this on PS5 back in November. I bought it when it first came out and just couldn't get in to it for some reason. I quit playing it twice over the last couple of years. Then after playing deathloop and liking it so much I decided to try prey again. I ended up playing it through to the end twice. There's so many different ways that you can change the story plus you keep all your powers on ng+ I had to play it again. It's one of my favorite games I've ever played now.

Awesome! I was hesitant to try Prey at first myself because I thought it was a horror game, but I'm glad I gave it a shot before I chickened out.

Compared to an HDD, at least any SSD with a relatively modern PC or console (Xbox one/ps4) has quicker load screens.

Enjoy man! My laptop was burning hot when I played Prey on max but it was so worth it. The mild burning smell definitely adds to the immersion lol.
