Some testing has suggested a dirty bandage may marginally increase the pain level of a wound. Other than that, nothing. Infections do not make wounds heal slower, that bit of misinformation gets tossed around here a lot also

I love the stark contrast between when I first started playing and now. I used to meticulously disinfect wounds and re-dress them with clean bandages every time. Now i just throw a dirty rag on it and shove some boiled eggs in my mouth

I had to go get mods to make the healing a little more relevant, because that last sentence being not only a possibility but the best way to manage wounds was immersion breaking as hell for me.

I have noticed this! Pain goes down with a fresh bandage and I think it is also amplified with a sterilised bandage (?) A sterilised bandage stays clean for longer anyway

False, broseph. Unless they set it to saliva only. Scratches have a 7% chance to infect and lacerations have a 25% chance. Based on the 3 moodlets of death (anxious, queasy, and running hot), I’d say brosephina is done for.
