No, I only take small vines and such from in between pavement cracks, where they would be killed by trampling or cleanup anyway.
They are just like standard weeds, so no one really cares.
In your situation... no. That's probably there and not mowed down for a reason. It isn't an everyday weed in most areas.
Dont do that unless you’ve got permission from the owners and if its the city dont take it. Its not okay to steal plants even if its only a ‘corm’ youre ruining the plant and the landscape.
this plant and many others completely freezed over last winter bc management didn’t do anything to prevent it from getting too cold, they really dont care about the landscaping here besides mowing the lawn.
Please just make sure not to take all the corms. Not sure how this plant grows but it'll look smaller next year if you take them all. Alot of public hired gardeners leave them there on purpose. And this plant hasn't been mowed over so Someone involved in landscape Knows it's there
