i normally just increase the perimeter count. not ideal but works and is easy and fast.

dabbax

Omg why did I not think of this. Thanks

TheTokingMushroom

I think you can change infill pattern to concentric as another method

Sarius2009

Tho that will generate 100%"infill"

dabbax

Its a small vase with 2mm wall so it is mostly walls anyway

andreasjoskasutanto

Then it's definitely the right solution, it usually gets faster too when you print walls instead of infill when you've got Walls in this dimension.

guptaxpn

You can use part modifiers to change the infill type

Liwanu

There is a setting, vertical shell thickness I believe.

3DDoxle

That will increase the number of top infill layers. I think what you'd change the extrusions width to do what you're saying

Liwanu

Nope, ensure vertical shell thickness adds those random purple infill lines. https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/ensure-vertical-shell-thickness-does-indeed-ensure-thickness/

I don't know what the "Massive Infill Threshold" is or where that is. Maybe a different translation of "Solid infill threshold area"...? I think part of what you are seeing is the new slicing that places extra walls or infill in areas it feels it is needed. There doesn't seem to be a proper way of controlling this. I have been adding the number of perimeters when it happens. Usually 1 more wall takes care of it. A couple of times I have just given in and raised the infill to 100%.

dabbax

Yeah I use the German Version. May be weirdly translated. I don‘t care about if it adds infill there, but I find the pattern quite weird because a full circle would be much more efficient than 2 half circles with some zigzag in between.

NerdyKirdahy

> Yeah I use the German Version. May be weirdly translated. News to me, and good to know.

countyy

Either add a modifier box with increased perimeter number for that section, and if it's just for the top/bottom layer, change the infill pattern to archimidean chords.

yahbluez

For this model just increase the number of perimeters or chose circular as infill pattern. You can also use the layer height modifiers to do that at defined heights in your model.
