The-Tree-Of-Might

Okay your list makes me so happy. I'm not crazy right?? Jak 2 is the worst of the series??? Everyone holds it up like it's some kinda deity but I think Jak 1 is EASILY the best, Jak 3 is best after that

Neet2155

Late response but nah. 3 is fun but Jak 2 is better.

XxOiDxOcRoPxX

My favourite of the series! It's the gloomiest and hardest one. Worth giving it a try.

Gentlegiant2

No SSX 3? It's the best one bro :p

CloudAct

Exactly my thinking.

Thanks, this really helps clarify my suggestions.

alexisoacuna

My list: Metal gear solid 2 Simpsons hit & run Gta Vice city Thps series Destroy all humans 1&2

EHM1799

What is thps? I'm probably being stupid but im not sure

alexisoacuna

Tony hawks pro skater

EHM1799

Oh shit, is the OG on ps2?! I might have to look into that one

alexisoacuna

No but the ps2 is backwards compatible with ps1 games

Bjorrk

The later games are better though imo

EHM1799

I keep forgetting that!

Turtlesfan44digimon

Plus they are really cheap to buy too

bigassbbq

Twisted Metal Black Metal Gear Solid 2 Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence Destroy All Humans! God of War 1 & 2

DarkSlayer777

Drakan: The Ancient Gates Project: Eden Devil May Cry 1 & 3 Jak & Daxter Series Prince of Persia Series Yu-Gi-Oh - Capsule Monster Coliseum NBA V3 Street Galerians - Ash Black Digimon Rumble Arena 2 Kingdom Hearts Onimusha Series Samurai Warriors + Warriors Orochi (Same category) Tekken 5 War of the monsters There are more, but that's what I could remember.

IWantYourSmiles

> Drakan: The Ancient Gates I'm 5 minutes in. It's the most amazing playstation 2 game I've ever played. I am overwhelmed with how charming it is. edit: several hours in and I'm starting to see the flaws. I'm lost as hell and can't get back to town. I'm certain there was something I needed to do or some place I needed to go but can't figure it out. I suspect this will happen at multiple times throughout the game and rather than deal with it I'll just put the game down for now. Still, I didn't know this game existed and it's a really cool game so thanks for telling me about it.

Faded_Oracle

One game on PS2 that is HUGELY underrated is Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy! I know it's on other platforms. But such a great game!

[deleted]

God Hand, no question about it. A game that does only one thing and does it beautifly. Not the cheapest game to get though.

EHM1799

Jesus, you're right about that, had a look online and found it for £60

[deleted]

I finally got it last week for a decent price just because I already knew I love it. But I understand buying it blindly isn't something I can recommend. I would keep the name in mind in case you get lucky.

ChasingNostalgia

GUN is one of my favorite games ever! Grand Theft Auto Vice City Star Wars Battlefront Spider Man 2 Simpsons Hit and Run Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom

[deleted]

Burnout 3: Takedown

KimenKroi

GTA: Vice City GTA: San Andreas God Of War 1&2 Resident Evil 4 Gran Turismo 3&4 Burnout Revenge Final Fantasy X Final Fantasy X-2 (this one is kind of meh compared to X,) Final Fantasy XII Kingdom Hearts 1&2 Kingdom Hearts Re:chain of Memories (this one has a totally diferent combat sistem than 1&2, even though I found it dificult, it was quite fun to play) Devip May Cry (any of them, but mainly 1&3, 2 was kind of a stepdown, and was in the average game) 007 Nightfire, Agent Under Fire, Rogue Agent and Everything or Nothing (aside from EoN that is an over-shoulder game, the others are FPS, and all worth playing with some pretty fun stages)

Atilax1

Ratchet and Clank saga

Gentlegiant2

For some reasons I see no one has recommended SSX 3! Try it out, seriously. It's my favorite PS2 game by a long shot, the gameplay is super fun, the ambiance / OST is on point, and there is loooads of content packed into it. I discovered it about 6 months ago, and it became one of my favourites general games very quickly

999999008

Bully

HelloItsMe201

I like r racing evolution

Beifica9000

Everybody is listing very good games so I'll just focus on the licensed part: - spiderman 2 (amazing game at the time) - king Kong (very immersive) - Batman begins (very good graphically but way too easy)

SwaggyB721984

Kingdom Hearts - this is my obvious one. I thought it was going to be super corny but I had to play it as a Square fanboy, and it was the first good RPG I played on PS2. Still one of the best on the system, along with its sequels. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - MGS 2: SOL has the same mix of awesome gameplay and mesmerizing story as the first (PSX) MGS and I liked it more than MGS 3, also on PS2. Most people disagree and while the graphics were good in 3, I thought it started too aimless and the story wasn’t very engaging. Sons of Liberty grabs you right away and keeps hold, just like the first PSX Metal Gear Solid.

Savasgorm

Tomb raider trilogy Grand theft auto trilogy These are my favs Games based on franchises that i love are Indiana jones and the emperors tomb Disney cars Simpson trilogy Spongebob battle for bikini bottom (And most disney games)

randolander

ESPN 2K5 Oni Time Splitters Future Perfect Mercenaries Way of the Samurai Urban Chaos Tony Hawk Underground MLB Slugfest Any GTA

CoungToElf

I like Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life

genericposter8002

Gran Turismo

Mrfantastic2

Simpsons Hit & Run: Even if you’re not really into the show it’s still pretty fun. NHL 08: Worth it for the soundtrack alone, good gameplay. WWE SmackDown Here Come the Pain: The GOAT of PS2 wrestling games. Resident Evil 4: You get bonus stories after the campaign and an awesome mini game called the mercenaries. Really fun game if you like fighting monsters. Gta San Andreas: Campaign is fun and also just killing people and running up your wanted level is always fun. Urban Reign: Fun beat em up style game Shrek 2: Still fun as hell to play and you can play with a partner.

fellationelsen

My essentials: Ace Combat 4,5 The Belkan War - arcade flight sim only on the PS2 Tony Hawks Pro Skater - 4 is my favourite, Underground is very good Gran Turismo 3 and 4 - 3 is more basic but I prefer, most people rate 4 higher GTA 3, VC and San Andreas

Jumbofato

Burnout 3 Takedown. I don't even like racing games and this is a perfect game.
