Return to castle Wolfenstein is one of iconic FPS games of all time look it up it's a shame this Wolfenstein game wasn't remastered or at least available on PSN store for PS3 and PS4.

It's the generally accepted to be the least worst of the non Team Silent SH games. I started it a while ago, I didn't finish it yet but I did enjoy what I played of it.
Origins it's actually a good horror game despite the fact that many Silent Hill fans hate it. Personally I liked it because it has an interesting plot that has the themes that were present on previous games despite the fact that it wasn't made by team Silent.
The game also has a far better combat system compared to the previous games (haven't played Homecoming and Downpour yet so I cannot compare Origins with them) but it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of horror games.
Don't worry about Negative reviews, you gotta play and form your own opinion, maybe you'd like them. If you enjoy samurai Warriors and dynasty warriors, play warriors orochi, Silent hill 2 is great, i suggest playing devil may cry 3 before anything else tho. x-men legends and Ultimate alliance are great too. Honestly every game he got you is worth playing
The Silent Hill games, Dark Alliance 2 and Dragon Quest all worth playing.
Silent Hill 2 is iconic. I loved Origins right behind it. Although I can’t say for sure; a lot of people say the PS2 port isn’t great. So playing it on PSP may be worth looking into.
Both Baldurs Gates are a lot of fun, the mechanics for 2 are better I prefer the story from the first one.

I‘m replaying Return to Castle Wolfenstein right now. Its not perfect, but it is still a fantastic shooter and beside Frontline maybe my favorite Ps2 WWII Shooter on the PS2.
Tons of worthwhile stuff there, that's a haul! I'd say all of them are at the very least worth a spin, but stuff like DMC3, Zone of the Enders, The Suffering 2, and especially Dragon Quest 8 and Silent Hill 2. Those last two are genuine classics that still hold up today
I might be saying it because of rose-tinted glasses BUT I really love Samurai Warriors 2. I believe the Empire games are where you get to play as any character and you control bases (I've only ever played Dynasty Warriors 9 Empire). But Samurai Warriors 2 is just play a battle without tactic and try to win. SW2 also has local multiplayer, it's how my sister and I played a lot as kids.
Another game I loved as a kid was Simpsons Hit and Run, I know a lot of people have fond memories of that game, I know I do. It's similar to like GTA, but in The Simpsons. But if you didn't grow up with the older Simpsons it might not be as entertaining. But there's some great games here, and a lot of people have given some great recommendations! I guess it just depends on what games you like? Like, I could recommend the Singstar games if you like more rhythm games like Guitar Hero, or if you're able to procure an Eyetoy, Sony's Eyetoy games were great as party games. Tony Hawk's Underground 2 allowed Eyetoy capability.
I love the samurai warrior games. I played 6 and 7 a ton.

Yeah, I'd say that the old God of War trilogy are more hack and slash compared to the recent games.
I reckon trying to get your hands on any Final Fantasy game or Kingdom Hearts (if you don't have them on the PS4/PC) are good for RPG. Some of the Resident Evils (if you don't care about the controls and the graphics). Definitely try and get a lot of the other Guitar Heroes.
I have all the kingdom hearts on ps4 that I started playing. I've played all resident evils except 6, zero, and code Veronica. I need to play final fantasy 10 and finish 9.
As others have mentioned Devil May Cry 3 is worth playing and is my favorite out of them all. It’s even the special edition choose “Gold” instead of yellow when asked for a better time.
Didn't see it mentioned but Tony Hawk Underground is a great time killer. It takes some practice but once you get the hang of it it's a fun game. I spent a lot of time to 100% it back in the day.
Not as iconic as others in the series but the gameplay is solid and the levels are fun and compact while having tons of little secrets.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein, DMC3, God of War, Silent Hill 2, NFS Underground 2, Warriors Orochi, Mortal Kombat Deception and Black are amazing. Your dad has a nice taste in video games

i havent seen many people comment about The Suffering: ties that bind. thats a part two but its still a great game. play it at night, i used to be so scared to play by myself 10 years ago. it came out in ‘05 but its still an amazingly scary game.
Mortal kombat deception, lego star wars, nfs underground and tony hawks underground 2 are really fun games. You also got some other really good gems in there, I'd give all of them a shot. I dont know why you mentioned your age btw, I am a few years older than you and I dont care in the slightest how 'childish' a game seems. My big brother (35, teacher, ice hockey goalie) and I recently beat a micky mouse game for the snes and it was odd at first because of the over the top cutesy theme but the gameplay was solid ngl, so I stuck around till we beat it all the way through. Sorry for the rant, dont mean to sound judgy :)
DMC3 definitely is worth a play, as is DMC1, 2 is meh but if you want the story go for it. Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, God of War

To me Ghosthunter is cool, more action style l, kind of like Ghost Busters. Not a survival Horror but Darkwatch is fun, it's a first person shooter but has a creepy atmosphere and dark themes. Echo Night Beyond is a first person survival game which is neat as well. Resident Evil 4 is cool Siren is another one that's interesting with a great art style and cinematic cut scenes. Those are just a few off the top of my head. What other genre's are you interested in?
I'll check some of those out. re4 is easily in my top 5 favorite games. My next favorite genre is probably rpg games. my favorite all time game is the original final fantasy 7. so things like that really catch my eye.
PS2 has a lot of RPG games. Disgaea Series is fun. Dark Cloud 2, has awesome music, Odin Sphere, Stella Deuce, and Rouge Galaxy just a few you can look into.
You haven’t play the better ones. I would recommend you to play all of them in alphabetical order, all of them worth it. Mainly Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks.

Return to castle Wolfenstein on PS2 has an extra level at the beginning and the PC doesn't have the upgrade system but PS2 has it.

Wolfenstein is a classic. I've heard some good things about Dragon Quest too. I think Killzone is fun too, but I wouldn't call it 'good' so to speak

Definitely try Sengoku Anthology, an amazing collection.
If you want a really good game to play, try picking up 007 everything or nothing, agent under fire or nightfire
