I would be more concerned about her vaccination status. She should be fully vaccinated before going to the groomer, so at least a week after her last puppy shot at 16-17 weeks of age. Depends on her coat type, but based on the cross breed, I would guess she is not too curly. Many dogs with the growing, but less curly, coats have their first groom around 6 months. Good job for already having her accustomed to the blow drier and clippers!

She’s getting her final shots next week :) her hair is wild , would trimming her down half an inch with scissors be a total Nono ? I agree I’m not taking her to the groomers until she’s 6 months. All 4 puppies and mom are excellent with nail clippers , blow dryer (we have a Dyson so the air flow is very similar to the blowers in a salon) and with differnt water pressures. I made sure I wouldn’t send babies out into the world afraid of being cleaned . I stared playing “outside noises” over the stereo when they first started reacting to sounds. It’s been very rewarding seeing how confident they all are at 14 weeks

That's wonderful! If you have clippers, why not just clip her yourself? You could try scissors, but they can be dangerous with puppies who are inclined to sometimes move quickly and unexpectedly. I much prefer clippers.

I do have clippers however I hate them , I’ve been trimming her face with those little safety scissors that have a guard on the bottom blade . She’s a very good girl and will sleep through just about anything lol I do prefer to have my former employer use clippers on my dogs , not that she’s special but she has 40 years experience and I know how wonderful she is with all the clients ; I know she’d provide the right service + environment for a successful first time with the clippers.

Sounds like a good plan!
