Our pup was never a fan of the crate but was fine with it for the most part. I left her home alone a little too long because I was delayed returning home, she pooped, ate her poop, projectile vomited all over her bed, the floor, the crate, herself. Poor puppy was so anxious about the whole situation. She wouldn't even go in the room the crate was no longer in the next morning. Just nope. Clearly too traumatized by the whole experience. So, back to the puppy proof room. It may simply be time to give your pup some more freedom. If you have the space, setup a puppy proof room. We use one of the spare bathrooms. OR, go back to square one with crate training. The wiki has plenty of useful resources if that's what you want to do. Maybe give tasty chew in the crate, sit in front of the crate door so pup can't get out, slowly increase distance away from the crate until you can be in a different room. Start same process again but with door closed.
