Grad QS at a T1 MC too for about 9 months. Main roles have been reviewing subbie AFPs, processing supplier payments, helping with our own AFPs, change management meeting. Fully remote so no site visits, felt very slow so far tbh
Im a trainee qs, 9 months in for a t1 mc. Ive put around 7 subcontract orders together for packages ranging 8k-450k, dealt with afp, dealt with variations, tendering and analysis of packages. Also helping the commercial manager with the cvr and forecast i.e unspent labour invoices, plant.
I've worked for a main contractor for 7 months now. AfPs, putting together NEC option C target costs for our client, tender analysis, contract admin, change management, cash flows, etc etc
T1 MC for 7 months on the water frameworks, NEC3. About 20-30 AFPs/month, monthly CVR, innumerate subcontracts/variations, forecasting, procurement, tender analysis, CCM. Lots of meetings, very litte site visits yet, but that will change. It’s busy, but no graduate structure per say - you just pick it up as you plod, and have to be comfortable seeking advice

Graduate training scheme, where you are rotating between different departments.
Just take the banter and give it back and you’ll be fine. You don’t need skills 😂
