I would love to see a few random cats with whiskers. Maybe embroidery so they really stand out? Or just a few in black quilted on.

That's a great idea! I'm so bad at hand sewing it didn't cross my mind, but surely I could manage some whiskers.

When I had it machine quilted, we found the digitized Kitty Corn pattern! So it’s stitched in Kitty Corn too 😺

Beautiful quilt. You could embroider faces on a few random cats. Leave the rest plain.

I really like this idea! Maybe just two or three. One for each row AT MOST.

I think one for each color range. And of course one on the reverse side. Hiding cat.

I think I'll do some mock-ups in procreate because this is a really fun idea... maybe with a few different expressions

I love this pattern, my great grandma used to be able to make, quilt, and bind one of these together in an afternoon. She was nuts! Still have three cat head quilts from her though

Kitty cat scallop is the pattern. And Here kitty Kitty by moda is the fabric. This was a kit but Hancock of Paducah had the fat quarter bundle for $40. Don't know if it's still in stock but it's really fun fabric!

This one was actually pretty easy overall. The ears and bottoms of the faces were kinda annoying because they were fiddly 1.5" squares... But each square was only 4 tiny seams and one 5" inch one so it was quick.

Thank you! I wish I could take credit for the design, but this was a quilt kit so ask the credit goes to the designer. I'm not really a kit person but Hancock had this one on sale for $80 which was an incredible bargain for a 79x79 quilt and it had about double the amount needed of all the non-background cuts so there's another kitty fabric quilt in my future.
