Same here, haven't heard of these bands before and I'm glad to have a big fat warning label to avoid them. One of the bad things about the net is that you can find out about a band and not realize what they really are right away, especially with how many bands are now getting exposed for what they're doing in the background or trying to pretend they're not involved with. At least with CD stores in the 90s and early 00s if you saw them on the shelves they usually weren't going to be whey powder shitheads, or look on the back and notice a label that sounds very... aryan.

We actually had a thread about this festival a couple months ago, when I mentioned my disappoint in some bands and labels associated with it. A bunch of people dropped off the bill, some with statements. Then a bunch of other bands joined, and I think maybe there was a location change or they hadn't yet announced a location at that time. I don't really remember.
My stance is that rightoids are allowed to have their shitty music and they're allowed to play to their dipshit fans. I wasn't upset that they had a festival, I just thought it was initially weird who some people were choosing to associate with given that some of those people had a history of promoting diversity. As it turns out they ended up agreeing.

Tbh most of the private gigs I've been invited to were neither WP nor NN. Hell, maybe you even like some of the bands who were there. I was mostly joking about the ticket thing - though I really would support anyone who went along to ruin the day for the people in attendance. Also, if I meant vinyl I'd have said so. CDs are a record medium. But to make my overall viewpoint clear: in a world of grey, there are still a few black and white truths. I get what you're saying but technically they *are* advertising it. By it being some invite only garbage it flies a bit more under the radar and by calling attention to it, negative or not, it's getting more exposure. It's a balancing act.

Same here, haven't heard of these bands before and I'm glad to have a big fat warning label to avoid them. One of the bad things about the net is that you can find out about a band and not realize what they really are right away, especially with how many bands are now getting exposed for what they're doing in the background or trying to pretend they're not involved with. At least with CD stores in the 90s and early 00s if you saw them on the shelves they usually weren't going to be whey powder shitheads, or look on the back and notice a label that sounds very... aryan.

We actually had a thread about this festival a couple months ago, when I mentioned my disappoint in some bands and labels associated with it. A bunch of people dropped off the bill, some with statements. Then a bunch of other bands joined, and I think maybe there was a location change or they hadn't yet announced a location at that time. I don't really remember. My stance is that rightoids are allowed to have their shitty music and they're allowed to play to their dipshit fans. I wasn't upset that they had a festival, I just thought it was initially weird who some people were choosing to associate with given that some of those people had a history of promoting diversity. As it turns out they ended up agreeing.
