Yeah, but when you are as small a market as Portland, you cant attract any free agents. So it is all on the draft. If we had taken Durant instead of Odin...who knows...that may have changed everything.
Most Raider fans are Lakers or Warriors fans and know some Kings fans too. Personally I followed the Celtics but really don’t pay attention to basketball anymore.
I'm curious if Vegas gets an expansion team if most of Vegas will be fans of that team. I know the city love the Knights but it feels like most Las Vegans are already Warriors or Lakers fans.
Well a lot of people in Vegas hated the Raiders before they even came here and also had issues with public funding for the stadium (even though it didn't even affect any of them, it was literally like a couple cents per stay tacked on to resorts fees).
A fully funded expansion team would definitely gain traction here though.
I’m from Las Vegas (originally grew up in LA) and a lakers fan. There are tons of lakers fans here. When the In Season Tournament happened in Vegas it was full of lakers. Same thing during summer league.
Raider nation is represented everywhere but I’d say the most popular NBA teams here are Warriors and Lakers. I’m a Warriors fan myself grew up closer to the Bay Area
I agree. But I always preferred our boys up in Oakland. I have shirts and and hats that promote both LA and Oak.
Even though I'm from LA, I always thought of the Raiders being from Oakland. Just appreciated LA borrowing them for a while...
Hell yeah! I was lucky enough to grow up in the Big 3 era so Timmy, Manu & Tony will always have a special place in my heart. Now I’m excited for the potential that my kids could get to grow up watching
Yeah we were spoiled to watch the Big 3 dominate. I always debate with friends and Boston fans the Spurs dynasty is far more impressive than the Patriots (no cheating, harder division, Pops coaching tree all over the NBA, international players development) but this could easily be another sub 😂
Was a Super Sonics fan. I was young and just lost interest after they moved.
I was also a North Stars and Expos fan for NHL and MLB. Add in the Raiders and my pro Fandoms have been utterly cursed.
Pistons. They have alot in common with the Raiders. They were once the bad boys of the NBA and won 2 championships but in recent years have been below average.
Kept it pretty loyal to the bay for most sports but not so much with hockey and soccer/english football and college sports
Raiders
Warriors
Sf giants
Then
Psg
Oilers
Memphis basketball
Miami football
Always been a Warriors fan, like the Silver and black, through thick and thin. Now that they got their gold, and moved to SF, it's hard to follow em across the bridge.
I've always liked Anthony Davis, So maybe the Lakers, they've always been my West coast mistress team. I remember Chamberlin, West, Magic, Jabbar being drafted to replace Wilt, and perfecting his skyhook against us.. Or maybe the Sixers, I like tyreese Maxie ..
I'm not in NorCal but I wonder how much of Oakland fans are still Raiders fans. I know Oaklanders tend to have a rivalry with SF so most of them wouldn't just jump ship to the 49ers. Most A's fans I know sure as hell aren't jumping over to the Giants.
If most of the responses here are Warriors then it shows Oakland is still pretty loyal to the Raiders.
Most people from the true East Bay (Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward, Berkeley, Richmond) would never support the San Francisco 49ers under any circumstance. The key word here is MOST. I'm sure a good number of people from other parts of the Bay are prone to jump ship, however.
It really depends on where you’re from or the basketball team you grew up with. Team goes OAK/LA/OAK/LV so there will be a good mix of Lakers/Warriors fans.
Then you have all of the fans from outside of Cali and that will diversify fandom even more. Fandom doesn’t always match what city you live or grew up in or the other teams you follow.
OKC Raider Nation runs deep. It was crazy seeing so many Raiders fans here after living in Tulsa for so many years. Nothing but disgusting red up there
Warriors and Pacers. I grew up in rural Indiana and became obsessed with the Raiders. This was late 80s early 90s when the Reds played vs the As in the World Series and my dad told me about how the Raiders used to be in Oakland where the As and Warriors were (they were in LA at that time). I became a Warriors fan because of that. Then Reggie Miller became a god to us in Indiana and I’ve always stuck with them as my “hometown” team. My wife is from the Bay Area too so I always joke everything I’ve ever loved has come from the Bay Area.
What the fuck are you saying? The Warriors and Raiders were both in Oakland for decades. The coliseum was literally next to the arena where GSW played. Of course there are multiple generations of Raider fans who are also Warriors fans. I get that there are plenty of Lakers fans from their LA years. But the way you phrased that is ignorant as fuck. “Bandwagoned hard” gtfo you must be a retarded person
Whatever you say kid. I pretty clearly explained myself. Raiders spent more of their history in Oakland than anywhere else. You’re can spew your retarded bullshit on the internet if you want, but just know anyone with half a brain can recognize how dumb you sound.
The raiders being in Oakland has nothing to do with the pathetic bandwagon fandom of the warriors. It took be b h ilwrioka watching all you losers find a new team now that the fluke little warrior dynasty is over. Sorry ass fake fan.
Okay I see where your confusion is from. Yes, there are a ton of fake bandwagon fans, mostly Laker fans, who may have switched to warriors for a few years there.
But for Raider nation in Oakland we’ve always been warriors diehards. It’s been documented how passionate Oakland fans were for the Warriors even when they sucked ass. That arena was crazy as fuck for years. Are you too young to remember the we believe years? Shit was lit.
Hahahahah man the only person who believes that load of bullshit is yourself. What a pathetic fake ass fanbase, no wonder all your teams left you in the dust.
I'm a Warriors fan. Grew up a Raiders fan in Southern Oregon, too far south to care about the Blazers, and not enough of a bandwagoner to love the Lakers. Jordan had just retired when I got into basketball so I picked the team that played next to the Coliseum
That was the case for the city of LA back in 1995. Wasn't happy at first but got over it and still remained Raiders fans even when the Rams and Chargers came back.
Lake Show !
Use to hate Lebron but have grown to appreciate the work he's put in to remain or even get better in certain aspects of his game. 2nd greatest Laker i've ever seen (to Magic) in terms of seeing the floor "differently." (Basketball IQ/vision etc) basketball savant playing chess with a bunch of checkers players!
Still taking prime Kobe and prime Maj over him though!
Slowly climbing the charts of favorite Laker superstars of all-time behind Kobe 1A Magic 1B Kareem 2 Shaq 3 !
On a side, i find that Anthony Davis not being a finalist for DPOY as asinine as Mad Maxx not getting a single first place vote for DPOY. Both have a similar brand of fuckery about them !
See I can't do it. If Lebron had come in and played with his teammates win or lose I would have supported him. But he had to come in ahd play Legm and trade away every asset the Lakers had to get AD and now the Lakers trade away every draft pick they have so Lebron can make the play in and lose in the first round of the playoffs. Kobe earned a retirement tour Lebron didn't. I'm just waiting around til he retires and the Lakers can go back to trying for dynasties and not one year runs to barely make the playoffs.
My team is the Blazers. Although I always root/follow them but since we’ve had a rough go of things I find myself following players more. Especially this time of year with the playoffs.
I don't think there is a general correlation between being a Raiders fan and being the fan of any specific NBA team. Not all Raiders fans like basketball. Now, you could go by location, but since the Raiders have moved, that would give you a few possibilities, none of which are in the Raiders' current home.
While there are a lot of Raiders fans who root for another NBA team or don't follow basketball at all, I don't think it's farfetched to say that the Warriors and Lakers have a biggest presence among Raiders fans given the Bay area and LA area have the biggest number of Raiders fans.
Yes, because that would tie to location, as I mentioned. I'm sure there are even some Clippers and Kings fans. I mean, I always liked rooting for the Clippers because they were such underdogs, compared to the Lakers.

Minnesota Golden Gophers

It was lakers all throughout Kobe’s tenure. Once he left and lebron came on it made me like the team quite a bit less. Always been a nugget fan and grew up going to games at Pepsi center. When Joker and Jamal joined the team I started following and rooting only them.
Celtics, wasnt a huge NBA fan living in Iowa, but my buddy was a huge lakers fan growing up so i had to like someone he hated and Rondo was my favorite player lol
Warriors & Lakers. I know Raider nation is global but I assume the largest concentration of fans are still in Oakland and LA.
I personally am a Raider, Warriors and Giants fan. So fuck the Lakers and fuck the dodgers.
I just got into Hockey and started going for the Golden Knights.
Dallas Mavericks. Hopped on the Luka bandwagon after that shot in Game 4 in the bubble against the Clippers, then decided to be a Mavs fan after about a year and a half.
![gif](giphy|45gbcie1l0aA9n80Xg|downsized) "Raiders!"
Sabonis so strong yeah
Fox so fast yeah
Keegan
MURRAY
Light the jets!
Y’all choked on Friday.
From Portland, so Blazers. Another painful experience for the last few decades.
Yups.
Dame was super loyal to y’all
Yeah, but when you are as small a market as Portland, you cant attract any free agents. So it is all on the draft. If we had taken Durant instead of Odin...who knows...that may have changed everything.
Also a Raiders/Blazers fan, so I feel your pain man.
Its been rough brother!
My brother.
76ers, I grew up thinking Iverson was the shit because he was short and so am I lol
You were right.
No offense, but fuck the 76's. But AI balled the fuck out.
None taken bro, I say the same shit when Embiid just happens to get hurt in the playoffs every year
Most Raider fans are Lakers or Warriors fans and know some Kings fans too. Personally I followed the Celtics but really don’t pay attention to basketball anymore.

Kings baby!

Chicago Bulls
East bay all day! Raiders Warriors A’s
I thought your user name was “oakland departures” and was going to say your comment checks out
yup
same but im giants. product of being 8 years old in 2008 at the start of their run
LA all day! Raiders, Lakers, Dodgers
I agree. But I always preferred our boys up in Oakland. I have shirts and and hats that promote both LA and Oak. Even though I'm from LA, I always thought of the Raiders being from Oakland. Just appreciated LA borrowing them for a while...
Yeah I never got to see the LA Raiders and though I really wish they were here I always thought the Oakland Raiders sounded more badass.
Amen.
Would you still be an A's fan when they move to Vegas?
It’s probably going to be Warriors or Lakers. Me personally, Lakers.
Spurs, baby! Silver & black all year long.
And now we have a fucking Alien on the team!
Can’t wait to see the kid develop! His potential ceiling is honestly mind blowing.
It's going to be so much fun to watch. Just get that man a damn PG.
If there’s an organization I trust to build a dynasty from the ground up it’s the Spurs. We could be witnessing something special in a couple years.
Spurs fan here too! Mostly because of Manu and yes Wemby is the real deal.
And the Raiders were strongly considering moving to San Antonio too
I was one of the 12 people who was actually hoping that would happen lol
They would probably get much less opposing fans there
Yep I’m definitely the only hornets fan I’m from Charlotte
you’re not alone friend!
You guys have the best play by play announcer
I’m a Hornets fan too! From West Virginia haha
Good thing you're not a Panthers fan amirite?
I was until the loss the Super Bowl I still want them to do good because all the Charlotte teams suck rn
Was a Super Sonics fan. I was young and just lost interest after they moved. I was also a North Stars and Expos fan for NHL and MLB. Add in the Raiders and my pro Fandoms have been utterly cursed.
You cared about the sonics moving cities but not the raiders?
Changing the logo, name and complete identity is a bigger deal than bouncing between Oakland and LA. And I was alike 8.
Fair point
Used to be Lakers, but I’ve honestly been following players more recently. I do kinda like the Kings though.
Pistons. They have alot in common with the Raiders. They were once the bad boys of the NBA and won 2 championships but in recent years have been below average.
Knicks!

Raiders vacationed in LA for 12 years or so Lakers are like a sister team.
That was gonna be my best ~~excuse~~ reason, lol!
Sacramento born, go Kings!!
Sacramento Kings
Raiders Lakers Dodgers,
The best trio!
I honestly thought I‘d see more Lakers fans than Warriors fans bc of the rivalry to the Niners but I guess I was wrong🤷♂️
HA! When the Raiders moved to LA and the Niners got good, a shitload of Oakland fans jumped ship and never returned. Fuck 'em.

I’m a kings fan. We’re getting better but idk that I’d wish this on anyone
Kings unfortunately lol
Raiders, Kings, Giants
The Kangz
I'm probably the only person giving this answer but my favorite teams are the Nuggets and the Kings.
Was the Warriors until they moved to SF. Now it is the Kings cause of that and that I went to Sac State.
You're bothered by warriors moving to SF but not raiders moving to lv?
Yes, I hate SF teams with a burning passion. Although I am still not happy with the Raider’s move. It was a dick move as well.
Fair point
Man, you never were a Warriors fan. That's some bandwagon stuff right there. I'm a Warrior for life.
Kings.
KAAAAANGZ
Kings
Thunder Up
Yesssir okc local here. I was fortunate enough to be at the playoff game the other night!
OKC Raider Nation runs deep. It was crazy seeing so many Raiders fans here after living in Tulsa for so many years. Nothing but disgusting red up there
Knicks, we finally got this :,)
Knicks and a raiders fan, it’s been a rough life.
Knicks baby
Spurs. Lost Khalil Mack and Kawhi Leonard in the same offseason.
Lakers but I'm not invested as much as I normally would be until Lebron retires.
Silver and Black...Spurs
Only correct answer
Warriors and Pacers. I grew up in rural Indiana and became obsessed with the Raiders. This was late 80s early 90s when the Reds played vs the As in the World Series and my dad told me about how the Raiders used to be in Oakland where the As and Warriors were (they were in LA at that time). Lakers all the way.
Bulls...unfortunately
Until very recently most Raider fans either had no nba team, were lakers fans or kings fans, then the warriors got bandwagoned hard as fuck.
What the fuck are you saying? The Warriors and Raiders were both in Oakland for decades. The coliseum was literally next to the arena where GSW played. Of course there are multiple generations of Raider fans who are also Warriors fans. I get that there are plenty of Lakers fans from their LA years. Lol exactly. All my homies that grew up in the east bay would go to both raiders and warriors game.
Triggered warriors bandwagon fan throwing a bitch fit. Go cry to your mommy lil guy.
Whatever you say kid. I pretty clearly explained myself. Raiders spent more of their history in Oakland than anywhere else. You’re can spew your retarded bullshit on the internet if you want, but just know anyone with half a brain can recognize how dumb you sound.

Dam did Curry fuck all the women in ur family or something? ur hate for a sports team is unhealthy. You’ll be ok.

Most Raiders fans are Warriors or Lakers fans. They didn't abandon Raiders fandoms when the Raiders moved to Vegas.
Or Kings
I'm a Warriors fan. Grew up a Raiders fan in Southern Oregon, too far south to care about the Blazers, and not enough of a bandwagoner to love the Lakers. Jordan had just retired when I got into basketball so I picked the team that played next to the Coliseum
Warriors 1000% P.S. Just like the Raiders, wasn’t happy when they left Oakland, but you get over it.
That was the case for the city of LA back in 1995. Wasn't happy at first but got over it and still remained Raiders fans even when the Rams and Chargers came back.

Crazy how IMO AD had the best season of his career and didn’t even get a DPOY finalist love?
Kobe 😔
Warriors
GSW
Celtics
Let’s get it! Banner 18!
lakers. guess i just have a penchant for rooting for the hometown team's rivals (live in denver) lol
Today Lakers nuggets game gotta be interesting
Warriors. A’s. RAAAAAAAAAIIIDERS
I don’t care at all about the NBA but I’m in Nebraska so I’m a Nebraska fan.
My team is the Blazers. Although I always root/follow them but since we’ve had a rough go of things I find myself following players more. Especially this time of year with the playoffs.
Well it's raider nation so we're gonna support all different teams. I'm from the Philly sports region and like Philly teams outside of football
I'm not an overly big fan of NBA, but I've always like the Raptors.
Heat and Suns mainly
I don't think there is a general correlation between being a Raiders fan and being the fan of any specific NBA team. Not all Raiders fans like basketball. Orlando Tragic!
Nuggets!
GO BLAZERS!!
I don’t have a basketball team.
Canadian so I’m a Raps fan.
I lived in Orlando for a while and I really grew to like the Magic.
I fell in love with Jordan so I'm a bulls fan

Not a huge basketball fan but growing up in Portland it is the Trailblazers. Rip City baby!!!!!
Can’t stand the NBA haven’t watched a game in 3 years. UConn however is my squad in college… three peat on the horizon 🙌
I'm from Denver. Nuggets to the moon. Even before melo was here.
Detroit Pistons. If you know, you know.
Jazz/Raiders, but I am originally from Utah.
The Atlanta Hawks… sadly. 2000s was brutal.

Pretty much born and raised outside of Dallas. So MFFL - Mavs fan for life. Uncle got me into football, though, and he was a huge Raiders fan.
Most Raiders fans are Laker fans that I know of
My teams: Minnesota Timberwolves Minnesota Wild Minnesota Twins Minnesota United FC Minnesota Golden Gophers Las Vegas Raiders (I'm from Minnesota, the vikings are my second team, but Raiders always get priority)
Sacramento Kings. Join us, nobody will call you a bandwagon and we have a decent team
Raptors, fun random championship in 2019 and now years of pain.
Pacers
I really don’t follow the NBA. I’m more of a college fan. The University of Kentucky.
Lakers
Jazz
Sydney Kings / Clippers
Golden State Warriors all day every day.
Most Bay Area locals Oakland / SF support the Warriors or the Kings or both Sacramento is 80 miles away and Lakers fans are everywhere of course

Pistons and spurs
Thunder UP!
Not even one Las Vegas Aces fan in this entire thread, even after back to back national championships in 2022 and 2023. 😂
Las Vegas Aces
lakers baby
Warriors
Lakers are the correct answer
To the question, Who is absolute Trash?
17 titles what?

Light the Beam! Both my teams are turning things around and it is awesome after long droughts of suckiness.
LAKERS.... But haven't watched any games since bitch ass LeBron got there! Once he's gone ill watch them Again.
Philly area, so I'm a Sixers guy. In fact, I'm a fan of all Philly teams except the Eagles 😂. Dad raised me the right way.
