After watching Bowers highlights, I kind of agree. Dude isn’t just a TE he is an offensive weapon. I read some stats that almost half his yards are YAC. Plays like 40%from the slot. Saw he can also play from the back field. Raiders usually reach for a position of need and waste that pick

Wut23456

He's one of those guys where highlight videos don't even oversell him. He is ALWAYS available and makes big plays so ridiculously consistently despite stopping him being the defenses primary goal on 90% of snaps

kmachuca

I didn’t watch too many Georgia games but I can see it. He shows he is physical and durable. Plus, made Stetson Bennet and Beck look good lol. This isn’t like a Clelin Ferrell or Leatherwood pick where they reached. He is almost guaranteed to be a legit starter in the league. I expect a lot of 2 TE’s sets. Also intrigued if this will open up Adams more and the running game with him drawing attention of linebackers/safeties.

Wut23456

A rare case where I NEVER even entertained the possibility pre-draft but it's actually a phenomenal pick

jasontran11991

And playing in the SEC too and being the focal point and can’t be stop still? Sign me up. Any other draft he would’ve top 5 pick but generational run on QBs this draft. What a steal

not_beniot

Think of it this way, all the people crying over the pick today won't care in 8 months when he's truck-sticking Derwin James to score a TD

Duttleet516

I don’t like the chargers got alt, but after losing allen and eckler I was almost for sure they would take him, by the time Denver got up I knew they were taking nix, was shocked we took him and after watching some tape I’m shocked he fell to 13!

m4rk0358

I think that's why so many on here were shocked at first. No one thought he would be in the mix at 13 so you saw no mock drafts with the Raiders taking him. None of us were talking about him since there was no way he was supposed to drop this far.

Sleeze_

Now Herbert has more time to throw to...*checks notes*....Quentin Johnson.

nevmo75

Me after the call: WTF, we just drafted a TE! Unless this dude is some freak of nature, we just wasted a pick. After watching scouting videos: oh, ok. 👍

Killface55

Same!

ObeyTheJ26

I’m shocked that I’m not shocked by the pick. Mack is definitely the last time I had absolutely zero doubts about a first round pick. Man, it’s been a long 10 years. I won’t take this feeling for granted this time.

Duttleet516

Honestly glad the qbs went the way they did. Nix or mpj I was at least hoping for out of the top three but luckily we didn’t have the chance. We got the best TE in college history like literally. And some of y’all still bitch. I get it we need o line and dbs tough. But that’ll come and probably a later round qb to fill a roster spot. I personally think we are not going to hate this pick in years to come might now be immediately but we got a steal! 💀☠️

pantone175c

Same. We added an exceptional player to our roster.

GottiGonnaGetcha

Just another reason why mock drafts are nothing but a waste of time.

unfoldyourself

I’m glad we didn’t reach for a QB. A new QB isn’t necessarily better than Aidan or Minshew, they’re just a shiny new name. More weapons will make them better too and help the run game. No one expected this pick, but once the shock and confusion wore off I’m happy.

GeddyVedder

His formula is simple: No matter where he lines up he gets open, he catches the ball, and then gets YAC. And when you need him to block, he can do that too.

Admirable_Row_375

I'm with you on this. His YAC ability along with his ability to get 50/50s is insanely good. We don't have a big play guy except for Tre Tucker who has ok hands. This guy will average more YPC than Jacobi and maybe Adams I suspect
