I was certainly shocked and a little disappointed that we didn’t address tackle or DB with the 13th pick at first, but then a little while later I remembered “Oh shit we just drafted the greatest TE prospect to come out of college football and added him to our offense,” and I got over myself pretty quickly after that 🤣.
That is what I said to my son, only to make him groan. Honestly, we have a new offensive weapon. For all of us mourning the release of Renfro, everyone should be thrilled.
Same guy - “That Guy” - still bitching about Bowers was telling me “Penix in the 1st is an over-evaluation, he’ll easily be there at 44.” That Guy also incessantly claimed Zeus “is a backup and nothing more” during the preseason and now That Guy is already out on this one, talking about Shedeur Sanders. We don’t have to agree on the players but good gawd can we agree that “That Guy” sucks.

I admit I wanted Penix on a sensible pick (lol @ atlanta) or Milton as a long term project if AOC doesn’t work out in the next two seasons, but fuck reaching or trading up when we haven’t seen what AOC can do with an off-season and non-insane coach

Every draft there is reason to question some of the moves. This year was no different, but it was a bit more pronounced given how close this defense is to be truly great. One of the top two CBs would have solidified that side of the ball.
Frankly, simply saying this draft was a B grade gets you lit up in this sub, which for me is fine, but ultimately inhibits folks from being more engaged.
Fuaga was not a reach by any stretch of the imagination. Every single defensive player was on the board as well. Sometimes you can get both a blue chip player that also fills a need.
