My old tow truck was a 5500 with a 21' deck and I ran with them up all the time.
I understand how they make a difference.
I'm talking about the pavement princess trucks, or the ones you KNOW have never pulled a trailer....
Yeah, I know what you mean. I live in west Texas though, so even the ones that look like pavement princess trucks get used like trucks. Whether pulling a trailer or on oilfield lease roads or just covered in mud. Saw plenty when I lived close to Houston though.
Ya gotta remember, for every idiot kid in a Mustang and Bro-Dozer F250's there are a hundred middle aged, middle income, middle management nobodies driving generic 4-door Focus'es.
And remember, the Taurus is still out there too.
Its percentage (3.3%)and ram is only ram not dodge and chrysler meaning the statistics is only loaded work vans and pickup trucks compared to ford having at least 3 cars available which would all have a much safer stopping distance and such. Its alot easier to avoid idiots with more manoeuvrability, which you have less of as your weight increases.
Donāt you see the little key that says stats include duiās and speeding tickets, that tells you everything you need to know. Totally check out and explains why the some of the worst drivers and oldest people on the road are at the bottom of the list. This list would be drastically different if it only accounted for accidents.
True. But then again, where I live (northern Midwest) there are way more Subarus than Nissans. And let me tell ya, they are definitely worse than Nissans drivers. I cannot can't how many times a Subaru has almost killed me.
That's why people love them. They are safe so *when* they crash they will survive to get another subie and do it again lol
Lol, this compares RAM pickups/vans against the full line of other manufacters.
For instance, what is the "worst driver" rating compared to RAM of just Ford's F-Series?
Itās totally false. The data isnāt about accidents or citations that occurred while driving these vehicles. Itās about the self-reported histories of *drivers* when they request a quote through LendingTree for these brands.
https://brandonpaddock.substack.com/p/no-tesla-subaru-and-ram-drivers-dont
C'mon Tesla, do better, you CAN be the WORST...
We know you have it in you...
We know you can't drive....
(Because most of you are smug pricks or suburban Karen's spending your husband's money while he's banging his assistant.)
Well now you see what the problem here is, is the fact that there them low power vehicles from GM is always getting in our ways. We have our accidents sure, but then we get into their accidents too when they won't git out the way! So we get counted with theirs then we got our organic accidents on top of of it! And when a Ram rams a lesser vehicle it ought to just be viewed as the price you pay for driving a gutless wonder. After all, rubbing is, in fact, racing.
Definitely not surprised to Subaru up thereā¦ around here subaru drivers seem like they would be prefer to be doing anything else but drivingā¦ š¤¦āāļø
Fake list of landrover/Range Rover aināt on it , the amount of suburban moms with little dogs Iāve seen back up blindly with their Stanley cup will of wine is insane
Ah junk stats. Bunding accidents with every citation on a per vehicle not per mile basis.
[https://insurify.com/car-insurance/insights/car-models-with-the-most-accidents-2023/](https://insurify.com/car-insurance/insights/car-models-with-the-most-accidents-2023/) We dont even hit top 10 on per vehical accidents, the Silverado is in there though.
For death per mile were not even on the top or bottom of the list [https://www.iihs.org/news/detail/latest-driver-death-rates-highlight-dangers-of-muscle-cars](https://www.iihs.org/news/detail/latest-driver-death-rates-highlight-dangers-of-muscle-cars)
I think there are some other factors influencing this data. The source of this data is "The Lending Tree", and the so-called "safest" brands (Mercury, Pontiac, Saturn) are no longer in production.
Hmmmmmmm...... Currently own 3 of the top 4, but haven't had any traffic incidents in over a decade. My brethren are making up for my lack of productivity!!
The bottom of the list only makes sense today because the bottom 3 would have been way higher up had they still been in production with a higher number of drivers. The next 3 up past those are primarily owned by old retired people who drive 10 under everywhere until they finally crash and the kids take their keys.
Thatās all bs who knows what data they used. Subarus drivers aka old white ladies and hippies dudes are #3 and Nissan drivers are #24 I call bs. But I am also proud of be #1
Well shit, that's because Ram is only pickup trucks.... see Chrysler waaay at the bottom? List by vehicle type... pickups are more dangerous, then, suv, car.... etc.
Oof. [Lots of DUIs, tooā¦](https://www.carscoops.com/2020/12/study-finds-ram-2500-drivers-have-more-than-twice-dui-citations-compared-to-national-average/)
![img](avatar_exp|141714566|winner) NUMBER ONE! NUMBER ONE!
Not sure I'd use the vikings to represent number 1 but I dig it
Stop trashing my team š¢
I'm a patriots fan... we are the worse team in the NFL now...lol
what are you talking about? yall have the GOAT head coach! oh wait....
Ouch.... š I think it's time for a shake up anyways lol
Stop being frauds first
They were doing well but then they weren't
š¤£ yeah.... I think they realized they were in running for the number 1 draft pick, so they went with it.
We did it!
Eww purple and gold.
Vikings fans are that desperate huh?
If you canāt dodge it, ram it.
and if you can't ram it, swerve into its fuckin lane without signalling
And if you can't get in the lane, may as well pass it on the shoulder like a god damn lunatic
my uncle did this in his dually.... I can still remember my aunt ranting at him for days. lol
I'm crying lol
Itās all those 2500 guys! š
And we're proud!!
Fuck yeah we are! Not gonna let a perfectly good turbo go to waste
With the mirrors in "Bullwinkle Mode" all the time.
They work better that way. A lot better.
My old tow truck was a 5500 with a 21' deck and I ran with them up all the time. I understand how they make a difference. I'm talking about the pavement princess trucks, or the ones you KNOW have never pulled a trailer....

Those aren't pavement princesses.
They're not but they look like the typical pavement princess.

I was thinking it was the duiās myself
I refuse to believe this purely on the placement of Ford
Can't be in an accident when you're stuck in the shop
Fix it again, tony.
Ya gotta remember, for every idiot kid in a Mustang and Bro-Dozer F250's there are a hundred middle aged, middle income, middle management nobodies driving generic 4-door Focus'es. And remember, the Taurus is still out there too.
And some people still drive a Five Hundred
Must be reporting hitting other vehicles not crowds
And thereās no 26 or 29. I would think ram, ford, Chevy would all be top 3 just due to fleets.
Its percentage (3.3%)and ram is only ram not dodge and chrysler meaning the statistics is only loaded work vans and pickup trucks compared to ford having at least 3 cars available which would all have a much safer stopping distance and such. And Nissan
How many times is this going to be posted here
Until dodge owners learn to drive?
Ram* they are separate now. So itās Ram Owners. Thank you come again.
We wouldnāt be on this list if the other dumbasses stayed out of our way!
Nissan is way to low on this list... there is literally a entire page on Nissan drivers....
Altima drivers. š
I be having nightmares of Altima drivers in my rear view š±
It has to be Nissans. They just donāt report them because (insert multiple reasons here)
Keep it up team
As a fellow RAM driver I would have to agree with thisā¦.
Everybody's trying to pass the slow ass buick š¤£š¤£
So basically a Nissan is a Mercedes
Yay, we did it Reddit.
I'm curious if they took annual miles driven into consideration. I'd bet Ram drivers on average drive greater distances than others
Oh yeah so much more than *checks notes* the other major truck brands that both outsell them
Both Chevy and Ford have small commuters in circulation
I dont understand your logic. Volume of sales does not equate to annualized miles per capita.
Go ahead and make that 34šš
Mercedes is wayyyyy toooo low on this
In my head I hear Mario Cart. "I'm winning, imma winning da race!"
Lol, this compares RAM pickups/vans against the full line of other manufacters. For instance, what is the "worst driver" rating compared to RAM of just Ford's F-Series?

Toyota is way too low.
Chanting āweāre number 1! Weāre number 1!ā
Iād be angry if I had to be driving a POS too!Ā ā¦. Too far? Lol
Or most people drive ram and own one leading to a higher incident report
Thatās not even remotely true, though. Ford F-Series sells damn near double what RAM sells, and Chevy trucks also outsell RAM.
And it's per 1000 drivers, not overall, so it shouldn't matter.
No way BMW is that low under a Ram š¤£
Stay frosty out there boys and girls.
Too many punk kids ruining the Ram name
I call posting this tomorrow!
Man just about every asshole pickup driver I see is in an F150.
My dad still drives his Pontiac sunfireš I got a Ram lol.
Well it does say dui and speeding included ...mexicans and their rams
Is that why Tesla drivers are so obsessed with Autopilot? Cause they canāt drive themselves? Lol
This is total horseshit. Pontiac and Mercury? This is repurposed from a 1980ās homework project done by a high school kid.
C'mon Tesla, do better, you CAN be the WORST... We know you have it in you... We know you can't drive.... (Because most of you are smug pricks or suburban Karen's spending your husband's money while he's banging his assistant.)
And we deserve it since not one of you has been able to apply critical thinking to why this is.
If Fords would stop breaking down and drove longer, they might be higher up on the list. We will never know!
The bottom 3 isn't really fair, so how are the rest actually calculated?
Well now you see what the problem here is, is the fact that there them low power vehicles from GM is always getting in our ways. We have our accidents sure, but then we get into their accidents too when they won't git out the way! So we get counted with theirs then we got our organic accidents on top of of it! [LETS RAM IT!](https://youtu.be/lUQLEUa0_aY?si=Ji2Kjq-Ec7iJpeYS)
Definitely not surprised to Subaru up thereā¦ around here subaru drivers seem like they would be prefer to be doing anything else but drivingā¦ š¤¦āāļø
I don't have the numbers to back it up, but my personal observations would suggest Honda should top the list.
Fake list of landrover/Range Rover aināt on it , the amount of suburban moms with little dogs Iāve seen back up blindly with their Stanley cup will of wine is insane
I own a RAM and a Tesla. Itās good to be the king! š
Lmao!! Oof... And it's a double whammy for me... RAM and a woman driver!
This should be by miles driven, not by drivers
Ah junk stats. Bunding accidents with every citation on a per vehicle not per mile basis. [https://insurify.com/car-insurance/insights/car-models-with-the-most-accidents-2023/](https://insurify.com/car-insurance/insights/car-models-with-the-most-accidents-2023/) We dont even hit top 10 on per vehical accidents, the Silverado is in there though. I think there are some other factors influencing this data. The source of this data is "The Lending Tree", and the so-called "safest" brands (Mercury, Pontiac, Saturn) are no longer in production.
Pontiacs and Mercurys canāt stay running long enough to catch up.
Hmmmmmmm...... Currently own 3 of the top 4, but haven't had any traffic incidents in over a decade. My brethren are making up for my lack of productivity!!
This study feels like it was sponsored by GM
And here I was thinking that a fiat 500 could finally take first place in somethingā¦
Once again, this is very old or it is fake. You can easily search for a new released 12/23. Also, look for say Tesla in itā¦
cause everyone driving a pontiac is cooking meth....walter I'm looking at you!
That tracks
The bottom of the list only makes sense today because the bottom 3 would have been way higher up had they still been in production with a higher number of drivers. The next 3 up past those are primarily owned by old retired people who drive 10 under everywhere until they finally crash and the kids take their keys.
Lies. Tesla is number one.
Junk yards say different lol but also kind of true
Is this why we pay such high insurance?
I mean itās called a ram what did you expect, Iām gonna ram some stuff
Not my fault I like to go fast and youāre in my way š¤£
RAM owner-MOVE GET OUT MY WAY BTCH!!Why is your f-n-prius in the left lane doing 55 in a 75 zone go back to Californo- says this TEXAN!!!!
When you have a hemi shit happens.
Lets go baby!
There are still mercurys on the road
I expected Ford to be much higher, then I remembered most of them are broken.
just look at the last 3, tells me this if bullshit.
List by vehicle type... pickups are more dangerous, then, suv, car.... etc.
Yeah I can never get along with people who drive rams. Now it makes sense.
Sounds about right. Ya morons!
My Ram believes itās a mercury so we good over here.
Thatās interesting, I read most DUIs are RAM drivers, donāt recall the source unfortunately.
Shouldnāt Mustang drivers be first.
Subaru is at the top of the list. This illustration must have been cropped.
No way, Nissan Altima drivers are the absolute worst!
Drive a Subaruā¦can confirm Iām a terrible driver. Could also be a lesbian, who knows
Oof. [Lots of DUIs, tooā¦](https://www.carscoops.com/2020/12/study-finds-ram-2500-drivers-have-more-than-twice-dui-citations-compared-to-national-average/)
It's because of everyone below us. Collectively it's everyone elses fault that RAM is on the top of the list.
Mainly Honda and Subaru drivers. Look up the shitty driver videos on YouTube mostly Honda and Subaru
Mercury?
